Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking a Solutions Architect whose core responsibility is to facilitate cohesive technology solutions across the enterprise, in alignment with our strategic business objectives and serves as a liaison between Information Technology, Cyber Security and Business technology owners/stakeholders, as needed to facilitate desired outcomes.  Additionally, function as the subject matter expert and advocate for the middleware architecture team.


Key Areas of Focus:  


Learn and understand the business strategy and define the technology systems architecture to support that strategy

Design Cloud native, scalable and adaptable systems to meet business strategies for now and in the future

Recommend third party systems that meet business requirements and integrate them into the enterprise architecture

Provide architectural and design oversight for all new and ongoing application development.

Act as part of a team of architects across IT that develops and supports architecturally driven approaches

Support the definition of policies for business attainment of patch levels (n-x) using architectural standards 

Ability to guide and mentor agile teams on architecture, design, and integration of business software across multiple product platforms while making sure all application software is built with performance and scalability in mind.

Collaborate, define, and publish standards (components) related to the platform/middleware functions using technology that integrates with adjacent OSI Layers/functions that generates the reference model/architecture

Participate in the Architectural Review Board ARB

Participate in architecture review processes and ratification of technology system design

Develop and apply guidelines, architectural standards, and solution patterns to ensure alignment with the long-term technology strategy in collaboration with operational and engineering staff

Work with stakeholders to develop architectural documentation fully elaborating design, inclusive of components provided by Business IT and central IT Service

Provide architectural guidance and consultative support across the organization related to technology needs

Key Qualifications: 


Detail oriented, highly professional individual with strong business acumen 

Strong knowledge of Cloud based design in a multi-Cloud environment

Working knowledge of structure and behavior of standard programming languages and of the systems development life cycle

Possess a strong understanding of disaster recovery and high availability architecture and systems design

Broad knowledge and experience with multiple technologies such as Java, Microsoft .NET, application servers, integration hubs, n-tier applications, database management systems and open-source trends

Clear understanding of object-oriented design principles, Enterprise integration patterns, and Composable Architecture concepts

Experience in software and system modeling, e.g. UML, EA tools a plus

Experience with business focused IT Architecture strategies and frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, EAF)

Knowledge and experience with Identity and Access Management, PIM, and PAM solutions is a plus

Civil Engineer (II/III) - Stream Stabilization 

Who We Are...

Colorado Springs Utilities is one of the largest four-service public utilities in the nation, providing water, wastewater, electric, and natural gas services to 500,000 residents in the Pikes Peak region.  Our work culture is dedicated to innovation, collaboration, and synergy.


As an engineer on our Wastewater Planning & Design team, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of projects in the Sanitary Sewer Creek Crossing (SSCC) Program.  This Program has an annual budget of approximately 3 million dollars dedicated to the design and delivery of creek stabilization projects within our service territory.   These projects are critical to protecting our sanitary sewer collection system infrastructure located adjacent to creek crossings.  Your work will ensure that Colorado Springs Utilities’ obligations of this Program are fulfilled while having a positive impact on the community.


How you’ll make an impact as a Stream Stabilization Engineer…


Assist with planning that includes identification of risk to wastewater collection system infrastructure and prioritization of projects to reduce risk

Assess and review the condition of pipeline crossings in potentially erosive drainages

Design channel stabilization projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D that includes drop structures, J-hooks, rip-rap bank protection, riffles, and other stabilization measures as required

Conduct hydraulic modeling to support design and permitting using HEC RAS

Develop bid documents (drawings, specifications and Statements of Work) for SSCC construction projects

Possess a thorough understanding of the CLOMR and LOMR process under FEMA

Conduct technical analyses and produce design reports to obtain all necessary permits (including 404 permits and City approvals) for stream stabilization projects

Provide general project management for outsourced projects

Clearly communicate with internal and external stakeholders

Develop key relationships with regulatory agencies and the City Stormwater Enterprise

Provide engineering services during construction as needed


Education and Experience…

To be successful in this position, a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil or Environmental) is required.  Additionally, two or more years of professional engineering experience, preferably in hydraulics and the design of creek stabilization projects is preferred.


Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and HEC RAS is strongly preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred

A valid driver’s license is required

This position will be filled as either an Engineer II or III.

As a Field Engineer Support Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for our customers (residential, commercial, and developers) for either natural gas or electric services; responsible for reviewing drawings for land/subdivision development, discussing existing layouts, and working with individual homeowners and commercial customers making modifications to gas and electric services.


Projects range in scope from large land development projects designing utility infrastructure and relocating gas and electric infrastructure, to reviewing individual residential customer service changes. Serving as a subject matter expert for customers during the design phase you will be working in one of the most plugged-in groups in the company!


How you will make an impact:


Prepare construction drawings (AutoCAD) and materials specifications; ensure that construction materials meet specifications

Review drawings for land/subdivision development, discuss existing layouts and work with individual homeowners and commercial customers

This work ranges in scope from large land development projects to reviewing individual residential customer service changes

Serve as a subject matter expert for customers during the design and construction phase, you will review contracts, understand and interpret tariffs, costs, prepare time and material estimates, and review and design projects using AutoCAD and other engineering applications

Analyze existing and proposed systems to assist in decision-making processes; generate creative solutions; offer new ideas and concepts that may impact efficiency and reduce costs

Coordinate with various departments, customers, and regulatory agencies

Work with various departments (gas & electric planning, maintenance, energy construction, QC inspectors, etc.)

Take pictures and document information obtained as you perform pre-and post-construction site visits

During inclement weather, be involved in storm patrols to assist in coordinating efforts to investigate the nature of the outages

Who You Are:


7+ years of demonstrated experience working in the field (electric or gas utility preferred), or an Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering Degree from an accredited institution

Familiarity with the principals of AutoCAD

The Signals Intelligence Electronic Warfare (SI/EW) Systems Engineer will be responsible for applying practical knowledge to communication technologies, navigation, and sensor systems in support of Tactical Training Exercise Control Group (TTECG), Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Center (MAGTF-TC) operations, by producing a realistic signal environment and providing technological support. Our Gas Construction, Operations, and Maintenance (GCOM) department is excited to offer the opportunity for safety-oriented and motivated journey-level Gas Pipefitters to join our team.  Our pipefitters are responsible for a full range of duties associated with natural gas pipeline installations and maintenance.  Pipefitters are responsible for ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and safety procedures pertaining to the natural gas industry; maintaining records of work performed and materials used; training personnel; operating construction equipment to install new piping and to expose existing piping; pinpointing the location of leaks and classifying type, and ensuring that underground utilities have been located and job sites are safe by using proper barricades. 


Positions will be filled at either the Gas Pipefitter or Gas Pipefitter Specialist level; placement will be based on the qualifications and experience level of the successful candidate. 


Starting pay rate for a Gas Pipefitter is $34.43/hr. Your pay rate will increase to $36.15/hr. upon successfully completing probation (typically 6 months).

Starting pay rate for a Gas Pipefitter Specialist is $37.97/hr. Your pay rate will increase to $39.87hr. upon successfully completing probation (typically 6 months).

As a Gas Pipefitter you will be responsible for:


Connecting and inspecting of gas mains and service lines

Safe handling of gas main/service lines

Operating gas construction excavation equipment

Tapping pipelines

Complying with regulations/laws/procedures

Obtaining and Maintaining Operator Qualification Certification

In addition to the Pipefitter duties listed above, a Pipefitter Specialist will also be responsible for:

Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements and expectations:


Completion of a Gas Pipefitter Apprentice program (DOL or NDOL) or have 4 or more years of relevant experience installing and repairing gas mains and service lines (Operator Qualifications, etc).

Additionally, one year of experience at the Journey Gas Pipefitter level is required to qualify for the Specialist level.

Driving a Colorado Springs Utilities commercial vehicle is a requirement of this position, as such the successful candidate needs to have a Class A Commercial Driver's license w/ tanker endorsement, or the ability to obtain within six months of starting.

This position is designated as a first responder for emergencies. It is highly preferred that all pipefitters live in the Service Territory and receive at least one utility service (gas, electric, or water) from Colorado Springs Utilities.  Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis. 

The successful candidate will be required to pull stand-by, overtime, weekends, holidays, and 24-hour call-outs as the business needs demand.  In addition, you will work in hazardous conditions, and be subject to working in inclement weather.

·         Coordinates Command driven Before Action Review (BAR) for each specific event to identify objectives outlined by the Command and facilitate achievement of command goals and objectives.


·         Collects, reviews and presents LL material for compliance with policy, attainment of objectives, overall effectiveness, and quality to supported Component Command and USSOCOM.


·         Conducts comprehensive post event analysis to identify immediate SOF capability impacts as well as long-range effect on training, employing, and organizing SOF support.


·         Incorporates observations, insights, and lessons learned into the Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS) for their respective commands to ensure data is synchronized, current, and available.


·         Coordinates LL material prior to release from the Component Command addressing non-controversial and potentially controversial matters.


·         Regularly meets with numerous military personnel on the advancement of lessons learned information sharing on collection, analysis concepts, principles and applications.


·         Compile Before Action Reports, After Action Reports, Executive Summaries, Post Activity Bulletins and Requests for Information. Documentation shall be complete and include substantiated findings and recommendations, consistent with a high level of quality control and distribution ready. The documentation shall also be audience-specific and captured at the appropriate security level.


·         Develop and maintain an electronic resource, to include key points of contact, to be used for mission continuity that may be accessed by all stakeholders.


Education/Experience:

·         7 years of prior service experience, including 2 years of experience working with a Component Command


·         1 year experience using classified collaborative communications systems, for example DCO


·         Graduate from Component specific SOF qualified course or additional service requirement for the supported unit

Perception IR Special Services is hiring Operations Research Analysts (ORSA) in Northern Virginia. You will provide support to government clients and U.S. Military units, focused on Weapons of Mass Destructions (WMD), Great Power Competition (GPC), and countering improvised threats and the networks that finance, build or employ such threats. You will provide support through on-site and reach-back support function in a CONUS location or embedded with the supported elements OCONUS. ORSAs will provide analysis of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and Great Power Competition (GPC), identify trends and patterns of improvised threats, threat networks, and provide predictive analysis of enemy activity to assist in planning.  As part of the team you will provide unique skillsets that integrate military knowledge and experience with mathematics, statistics, quantitative analysis, and other scientific techniques to effectively solve a wide array of complex problems. You will manage and analyze large quantities of data, translate data into useful insights, and develop strategies and metrics to provide on-site tactical, operational, and strategic courses of actions to senior leaders and decision-makers. You will provide leaders with actionable insights from data-driven analysis of operations, processes, and capabilities to identify trends, inform assessments of effectiveness, and mitigate risk. In addition to supporting our organization, ORSAs are able to support deployed units and embed with those units in operational theaters.

More than one year of deployed Intelligence analysis experience within the Combatant Command AORs.

The USACE RITS contract will provide modern and secure enterprise-wide IT support services to approximately 37,000 USACE customers located throughout the CONUS and OCONUS. Job Title: Intelligence Analyst Trainer - Expert

Job Description: Preting seeks exceptionally qualified Intelligence Analysts (IA) to support USSOCOM.


Intelligence Analysts responsible for researching, developing, and presenting intelligence products at the operational level for senior leaders including: CT and regional analysis, GEOINT, HUMINT, SIGINT, OSINT/PAI, political/military analysis and support to targeting. Intelligence analysts shall interface with other intelligence organizations to fully prepare teams for exploitation of enemy personnel, as well as prepare post screening analytical products and assessments supporting targeting efforts, and threat analysis. Intelligence Analysts are responsible for the production of intelligence assessments and products in support of deployed SOF Task Forces to enable the F3EAD targeting cycle.


Employees must maintain global readiness and be available to deploy on a no-notice basis to hazardous duty/combat zones. Deployments may be to a theater of operations with permissive, uncertain, or hostile environments while living in austere conditions for extended periods.


Job Responsibilities: Expert-Level Intelligence Trainer (TNG) shall have advanced targeting skills and firsthand experience targeting networks, individuals within networks, and identifying vulnerabilities for exploitation. Intelligence analysts shall have a deep understanding of the F3EAD targeting cycle as well as the current data, tools, and techniques used for each phase of targeting. Advanced Microsoft Office skills and proficiency using current analytic tools, databases and Intelligence and operational systems is required.


Intelligence Analyst Trainers shall conduct training for individuals and small groups with a wide range of skill sets, capabilities, and intelligence backgrounds (All Source, SIGINT, GEOINT, HUMINT, Intel Exploitation, PAI, etc.) in order to introduce custom built analytical tools and their application within the F3EAD targeting methodology. Training requirements will include the development, evolution, and maintenance of internal and external programs of instruction covering analytic tools and methodologies, the coordination and compliance of annual community training requirements, and collaboration in identifying and facilitating training opportunities for organization personnel. Intelligence Analyst Trainers must have proficiency using analytic systems, tools and databases including, but not limited to ArcGIS, Analyst Notebook, M3, TAC, and IC Reach, Skope web-based tools, and the Skope SIGINT Toolkit are required.


Job Requirements: Expert-Level Intelligence Trainer (TNG) shall possess the following qualifications:


·        Minimum of ten (10) years intelligence/intelligence operations experience within DoD or equivalent Government agencies required, with five (5) years at the operational level.


·        Strong background and firsthand experience required in the following analytical areas: Regional analysis, Geo-Political analysis, HUMINT / SIGINT analysis, and Collection Management.


·        Sufficient experience training individuals and small groups with a wide range of skill sets, capabilities, and intelligence backgrounds.


·        Advanced HVI/Network Targeting methodology knowledge / understanding, nodal analysis, and ability to fully utilize F3EAD targeting process.


·        Highly proficient utilizing current intelligence-related automation, applications, tools, and databases to support analytical efforts and product development.


·        Strong briefing skills.


·        SOF and/or CT experience is highly desirable.


·        Current Top Secret clearance and SCI eligible.


·        Must possess a valid US passport


·        Must be able to pass all pre-deployment requirements including a medical, dental, psychological, background, credit, and security screens as deemed necessary to be considered deployable.


·        Must be able to obtain all required immunizations deemed necessary by the contract.

You Have:


2+ years of experience with Python, C++, Java, or R

Experience with working with structured, unstructured, or semi-structured data and conducting analysis

Experience with data wrangling techniques to cleanse data for data science applications

Experience with building statistical models and developing machine learning algorithms, including supervised, unsupervised, or reinforcement

Experience with designing and executing machine learning models and applications

Knowledge of the software development life cycle, testing, and version control

Required Qualifications

·        Other intelligence disciplines will be considered if meets language requirements.


·        Knowledge of a full range of concepts, principles, and practices in All Source Analysis, HUMINT collection and collection management, counterintelligence, or SIGINT Analysis and ability to apply this knowledge to difficult assignments.


·        Thorough knowledge of and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques or developing new or modified work methods, approaches, or procedures AND to identify, evaluate, and recommend solutions to issues or problems.
