TS, SCI eligible *Duties and Responsibilities* * The GFM Technician shall serve as a duty specialist for global force management working semi-independently and in coordination with the SOCKOR future operations division chief, the USFK, US Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) and USSOCOM global force management action officers to accomplish a broad range of force management duties. * Management of SOCKOR records in joint force management databases. * Drafting and presenting of briefs to General Officer / Flag Officers. * Performs the duties as a command lead action officer liaising with the GFM community. * When required, shall attend GFM workshops, sourcing conferences, and planning meetings. * Coordinates with exercise planners to ensure force management procedures and functions are performed during SOCKOR and USFK exercises. * Analyze and conduct assessments on operational, force, or future risks to SOCKOR?s 5 rotational, emergent, and contingency force requirements which are sourced and unsourced by the JFPs while recommending alternative force sourcing solutions which will meet mission accomplishment. * Coordinates between SOCKOR GFM, plans, operations and logistics action officers and planners with counterparts from the USFK J3 GFM directorate to ensure there is synchronization between USINDOPACOM and SOCKOR rotational, emergent, contingency, exercise, and individual augmentee requirements. * Participate in cross-staff efforts related to force posture. * Coordinates between the USINDOPACOM and the JFP joint requirements capability functional area subject matter experts to define, refine, source, and manage force requirements in the joint force management tools, joint capabilities requirements management (JCRM) tool, joint event scheduling system, and logbook. * Ensures all allocated SOCKOR forces in support of USFK operations are accounted for and properly tracked during the identification, sourcing, pre-deployment training, deployment, and redeployment phases. * Knowledge and skill in the application of the various tools employed to conduct force management operations to include the JS action process, message preparation and retrieval using the automated message handling system, and joint force management tools including joint capabilities requirements management tool, joint event scheduling system, and logbook. * Up to 1-2 Temporary Duty (TDY) trips per quarter, to locations outside of Korea, to include Honolulu, Hawaii, Norfolk, Virginia, and Tampa, Florida; TDY is usually 1-2 weeks in duration. * Provide administrative support for daily office operations to include, but not limited to, managing office and other IT equipment, maintaining calendars, drafting routine branch-level correspondence, status reports on assigned projects, and internal directorate tasks/suspenses based on information provided by the Government. * Coordinate / process briefings, reports, and necessary written correspondence in response to taskings to ensure the completion of actions on schedule; collect and disseminate information in support of taskings; and perform quality assurance checks for all correspondence to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards, policies, and guidance within SOCKOR. * Live and work in an operational environment when required (e.g., semiannual exercises operating from CP Tango, FOS-I, USAG-Daegu). * The work of this position is sedentary; however, light physical effort is required. * This position shall be designated a Mission Essential Contractor (MEC). *Qualifications: * * Fluently speak, read, and write English. * One year experience in a Global Force Management at the component, sub-unified Command, or above level * Excellent written and expert knowledge of the missions, functions, and interrelationships between the department of defense, JS, combatant commands, and the interagency community to develop and implement command wide policies, programs, procedures, and strategies for global force management. * Familiarity with the use of Microsoft and SharePoint products * Thorough understanding of the Request for Forces (RFF) process * Ability to work in a high tempo, high stress environment with minimal oversight. * Valid Korean or International Driver?s License Benefits Competitive Salary 401K Matching Plan PTO and Holiday Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Employee Referral Bonus If you are interested in a well-compensated, empowered, and fulfilling position, while making a positive impact at a high level of significance, we encourage you to submit your resume/cv to resumes@ssuinc.us.
