Ongoing responsibilities include proactive customer relationship management, data management, trade show attendance, marketing campaigns, and presentations to customers and teaming partners. *Responsibilities*: * Serve as the principal liaison with all key customers and teaming partners. * Identify and capture new business opportunities within the targeted defense organizations through research, networking, and strategic teaming. * Manage a qualified pipeline of opportunities with prospective customers and teaming partners to support the company?s strategic goals. * Analyze contract documentation and government spending to understand agency program trends. * Engage with government and defense officials in pursuit of program knowledge and explore how we can help solve their hot-button issues. * Perform ongoing assessments of customer requirements, determine market trends, and develop strategies that align the customer?s needs/opportunities with Valorous capabilities and discriminators. * Expand upon existing relationships with government and teaming partners to continue building the Valorous brand within the federal marketplace. * Conduct all gate review activities; developing and executing a winning strategy for all targeted opportunities. * Manage all aspects of opportunity capture, teaming, proposal preparation, and delivery. *Qualifications*: * 10+ years of Federal, DoD business development, capture, and/or operational experience, with a proven track record of success in developing a robust pipeline and generating new business opportunities. * Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, customer buying trends, and industry business development best practices (i.e., Shipley). * Ability to access government contracting officials and maintain customer relationships. * Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. * Strong leadership and negotiation skills. * Noteworthy research and analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems without guidance and to develop and implement effective business strategies. * Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize multiple ongoing projects. * Successful win record and proven experience overseeing and managing the full life cycle of the capture process, including pipeline development/management, building, and leading teams, overseeing details, managing schedules and priorities, etc. *Education*: * Bachelor?s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field and 8 years relevant experience in Federal contracting. * In leu of degree, 10+ consecutive years of Business Development and Capture Experience. *Preferred Qualifications*: * Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited institution. * Military, Intelligence, and Operations Experience. * PMP Certification. * Shipley Certifications *Required Clearance*: * Active Secret with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance and SCI eligibility. *About Valorous*: Valorous, Inc.
