Project Engineer II (Electric Distribution Engineer)
Colorado Springs Utilities is seeking an Electric Distribution Engineer to join the Electric Advanced Design team. The Electric Advanced Design is a newly formed team tasked with supporting several areas including substations, transmission, distribution, and advanced technology elements related to microgrids, distribution automation, and much more. Because this team has a large variety of work, we are looking for individuals who are interested in learning and participating in projects across all disciplines.
As an integral member of the team, you will have an opportunity to contribute to multiple projects in multiple disciplines. Your engineering expertise will expand beyond just a single area helping this team to accomplish large amounts of work in the coming years. In joining the Electric Advanced Design group, you will gain membership to a highly skilled and experienced team who routinely leverages their technical expertise to serve in our municipal utility’s System Planning and Projects Division and beyond.
Key responsibilities of this position include:
Complete electric distribution designs and drawings for new substation feeders, infrastructure upgrades and replacements, and system reliability projects (both in overhead and underground applications)
Develop and manage PLS-CADD line models
Provide support to electric planning with project development, cost estimates, line routing options, and system upgrade scoping
Assist substation engineers in site development, optimal equipment spotting, and potential feeder design options
Collaborate with Project Managers, Electrical Engineers, Designers, Field Engineering, Civil/Structural, and many additional internal & external departments (ie. surveying, environmental, City, County & State requirements) members on project initiation, development, engineering, and construction
Develop project schedules, and ensure all tasks are completed on time to support project delivery
Visit project sites and work with field teams to develop solutions and corresponding designs
Work with internal and external sources to get designs fabricated, reserve or procure materials, and monitor delivery to the sites
Review contracts and specifications to ensure compliance with engineering and material standards
Evaluate and monitor outside consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with specifications, bid proposals, and obligations
Who You Are... The ideal candidate will offer 2 or more years of experience in electric distribution engineering or a closely related field and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university is required for this position.Additionally, we are interested in your experience in the following areas:
FE/EIT certification and active pursuit of PE is desirable
An emphasis in Electric Power Systems is highly valued
Working knowledge and application of industry standards, safety standards, and current design codes such as AISC, ACI, ASCE 113, IEEE, NESC, and others
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, and Automated Utility Design is a plus
Working knowledge of PLS-CADD is an added plus

irregular warfare analysis to enhance their effectiveness against threat

needs, and explore anomalies, new developments, and trends that could
impact or threaten US operational capabilities or intelligence
requirements. Most deployments are 180 days in length.

Agency counterpart to join our team supporting our customer operations
in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.?This position is for a Risk
Management SME supporting a complex program, for a Combatant Command
(CCMD).
The team of analysts?assist with enabling technical and tactical
operations based upon their expert assessments of the operating
environment and the adversary in conjunction with the common operational
picture.? The analyst serves as a catalyst for joint collaborative
planning and assists all echelons to achieve operational dominance.
Serves as a Risk Management SME for a DoD program that is complex and in
a developmental phase.? The incumbent must be able to work independently
or in small group situations, develop solutions to problem sets, to
include alternatives based with thorough knowledge of the situation,
globally, as well as internally, utilizing Risk Management principles in
recommending viable options.
Under the general direction of an HII project, program, and/or division

of complex systems and assigned projects supporting the CCMD.
As an SME, incumbent will serve as the focal point for liaison
activities with CCMD program staff, and other military organizations as

seeking an experienced BI Application Administrator (Active Top-Secret Clearance required) to join a Data Warehouse (DW) and Business Intelligence (BI) team supporting our federal customer’s financial dashboard and reporting system. The candidate for this role should be a quick learner, self-starter, and be able to work with minimal customer requirements and turn them into requested reports and analytical dashboards. This is a full-time position on a multi-year contract with on-site work performed at the client’s office located in Washington, D.C.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain BI tools, such as TIBCO WebFOCUS

As a CACI-SOAS DTRA Counter Threat Network Intelligence Analyst, you
will provide embedded and reach back support to Countering Weapons of
Mass Destruction (CWMD) and Emerging Threats efforts and operations
executed by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and its partners.
You will conduct multi-layered research and analysis to support CWMD and
emerging threats to support DTRA?s research and development of tactical,
operational, and strategic initiatives for the agency and its
associates. While most work is executed in the Northern Virginia area,
some overseas and other stateside travel opportunities exist. As
required, you will interact directly with deployed partners during the
development of analytical products to meet unit and subordinate element
requests for information. As required, you will plan, develop, and
deliver tailored analytical capabilities and tools training to supported
consumers and partners.

When providing reach back Intelligence and Operational support, you will
directly support deployed teammates; answer requests for support from
other mission partners (COCOMs, Special Operations Commands, and IC
elements); and work closely with a wide variety of units, institutions,
and customers. You will work closely with other members of your team to
identify adversary WMD pathways and capabilities and to illuminate
adversary probable intentions, activities, and vulnerabilities. You will
assist with community of interest engagement, conduct professional
development within the CACI-Wexford Operational Analysis Team, and
mentor new members of the team to ensure they are ready to meet client
requirements.
If deployed, you will embed with supported organizations to assist
operational and tactical commanders, their staffs and subordinate units
with fusing operations and intelligence information to enhance their
effectiveness against CWMD and Emerging Threat networks. You will
identify and analyze problems, and generate recommended solutions based
on experience working with elements of the DOD, Interagency and
International partners. Most deployments are 120-180 days in length.

* More than three years of experience effectively writing to ICD 203
standards
* More than three years? experience conducting network analysis using
Intelligence reporting, metadata, captured enemy material, and
non-traditional datasets.

* Understanding of the National Security Strategy and the National

Colorado Springs Utilities is hiring a Journey Lineworker (Troubleshooter) to support operational needs and maintenance on our electric distribution system. You will leverage your journey-level line expertise to perform electric distribution and transmission switching during scheduled and emergency repairs and clearances. You will also be responsible for responding quickly to emergency outages and calls for service while following established field-switching procedures. The work that you do ensures the ongoing reliability and safety of our distribution system serving more than 500,000 customers.
A day in the life of a Journey Lineworker (Troubleshooter) may include:
Assisting in the maintenance of underground and overhead power lines and equipment
Responding to underground outages to assist in service restoration
Setting up clearances and hotline holds for emergency power restoration
Performing distribution and transmission switching to accommodate repairs and clearances
Performing clean-up and safe handling of hazardous waste from system equipment
Testing equipment and components for damage, reliability, and safety
Scheduling outages with residential and commercial customers and electricians for both scheduled and emergency repairs

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is located within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Customs and
Border Protection (CBP), Office of Training and Development (OTD), and serves in a developmental capacity under the leadership and guidance of a higher graded specialist.
A Training Technician facilitates CBP basic, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC)-sponsored training. Works with the Hiring Center and each Border Patrol Sector to identify those trainees who meet class criteria and confirms personnel scheduled for basic training. Maintains liaison with the FLETC Scheduling Coordinator, and other organizational personnel as required for scheduling students. Assists with schedules and securing and coordinating the use of training sites, facilities, and materials.
Performs requisite class coordination responsibilities associated with training. Must be familiar with assigned courses, purpose, scope, prerequisites, administrative requirements, and all appropriate coordination points of contact to include program offices. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Send email notifications with pertinent training specifics and travel information to students.
Coordinate classroom set up with Logistics.
Assist with the welcome orientation for each class.
Manage student bio sheets to generate rosters and other reports.
Coordinate with Session supervisors and instructors and provides guidance to students, as required, for duration of training.
Assists students with the completion of required travel documents within the agency's automated travel system. Prior to student travel, reviews all travel authorizations to ensure appropriate funding codes are used, travel dates and other information are correct, and compliance with Academy policies and procedures, as well as Federal Travel
Regulations. After review, forwards to appropriate official for approval. Same review required for processing travel vouchers for reimbursement of expenses.

Assists with class management using the agency's learning management system and maintains electronic and hardcopy files for each class, to include but not limited to rosters, schedules, departure information, and grade reports.

This position is in the Strategic Communications Department of the U.S. Border Patrol Academy. It is a multi-faceted position that requires the incumbent serve as the producer, director, and/or editor within a multimedia production team that develops and delivers a variety of multimedia products for use on CBP Learning Management Systems, social media platforms, or as stand-alone training products. Multimedia products include videos, photos, illustrations, three-dimensional (3D) and two-dimensional (2D) graphics, motion graphics, and 3D models.
The Audiovisual Production Specialist performs all duties involved in the production of digital videos, digital photographs, and graphics, and helps design and produce video content. Serves as producer, director, scriptwriter, set designer, camera operator, lighting technician, audio technician, editor, computer animator, and other roles necessary to produce the finished product. Most assignments include multi-faceted, high-profile and time sensitive productions equal to industry standards.
The incumbent will perform the following audiovisual production project roles:
As a Producer, the incumbent serves as the overall manager of an audiovisual production and is responsible for all the administrative and logistical details. Consults with clients to discuss the general concept, objective, and target audience of the program or project. Provides advice on the script and the most effective way to communicate its information. Develops cost estimates for productions at various levels of sophistication. Designs the production within an approved budget and maintains budget control throughout the life of the project. Develops production schedules. Procures props and equipment. Selects and
arranges sites for on-location or off-location shooting. Selects production crews, including the director, performers, camera operators, and others.

As a Director, the incumbent is responsible for the production values and aesthetic quality of the audiovisual production and has control of most of the artistic and creative aspects. Works in collaboration with the client, scriptwriter, and/or course developer to translate the script into the various audiovisual elements that best communicate the desired message to the audience. Designs sets and lighting, conceives additional visual elements such as graphics, motion graphics, 3D and 2D elements, and animations. Also, selects music and sound effects to accompany and complement the images. Rehearses with actors and narrators and determines camera placements, lighting, and angles. During the production, orchestrates the action of the participants, directs the movement and selection of cameras, and cues in audio elements. Uses creative sense to construct scenes from volumes of archived digital video, supporting footage b-roll, and usable precedent material, to achieve visual continuity between scenes, and to blend in audio elements in a harmonious manner. Operates and maintains sophisticated, high dollar recording and postproduction equipment including cameras, microphones, digital recording machines, teleprompters, light sets, and computer hardware. Serves as custodian of high dollar team equipment. Remains abreast with state-of-the-art equipment, software, video, and audio effects, and recording and post-production techniques.
REQUIRED BASIC SKILLSET
•
Mastery knowledge of a wide range of principles, practices, methods, and techniques employed in audiovisual (AV) communication to conceptualize, design, produce and direct multimedia productions from inception to completion.
•
Expert skill in conceptualizing complex theories and procedures to translate them into original multimedia productions using appropriate story-telling techniques and compelling visuals.
•
Expert skill in independently filming, producing, and editing projects, and bringing them to completion.
•
Expert knowledge in planning, developing, and directing highly visible informational and training videos and multi-media programs of a technical, theoretical, or abstract nature.
•
Knowledge of the most recent advancements in the fields of audio, video, and graphics technology for viewing national or international for target audiences inside and outside of the Department.
•
Expert skill in the use of non-linear editors, special effect software, media rendering, sound editing and photo editing.
•
Desired graphics skillsets include proficiency in 3D modeling software, motion graphics software, and 2D/3D animation software.
•
In-depth experience using camera platforms DSLR, Mirrorless and digital Cinematic camera systems.
•
Excellent verbal and written skills and ability to communicate in a professional, diplomatic, and effective manner. The incumbent acts as an interpreter and liaison with clients that include high level officials and commercial vendors/contractors, mediating any differences and misunderstandings that arise during the production. The incumbent must be familiar with script writing principles and grammar to write informational and training videos.
