Machinist
As a Machinist at Colorado Springs Utilities, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments in a job shop environment. You will have the opportunity to fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines by applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. The successful candidate will develop, design, and create new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, and products through manual and CNC machining, reading and interpreting blueprints, and interrupting and correcting programs on CNC machines.
A day in the life of a Machinist may include:
Designing fixtures, tooling, or experimental parts to meet special engineering needs
Supporting metalworking projects from planning and fabrication through assembly, inspection, and testing, using knowledge of machine functions, metal properties, and mathematics
Performing equipment setup and operating a variety of machinery and tool attachments
Creating drawings and sketches and meeting with customers to ensure the accuracy and feasibility of projects
Consulting with customers before, during, and after project completion to ensure proper selections are made and requirements are met
Who You Are
Relevant and progressively responsible experience in machining and programming
Ability to study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances
Knowledge of a variety of metalworking machines, including EDMs, CNC Lathe Turning Centers, 4-axis CNC Mills, and Laser Cutting systems
Experience with MasterCam, Fusion360, and AutoCAD
Experience using instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers to measure dimensions and tolerances
A degree in Machining Technology and Utility experience is valued
Possession of a valid, unrestricted driver's license is required - This position requires operating a Colorado Springs Utilities vehicle

1800 daily. Role players will not work more than 10 non-consecutive
hours in any given training day.

*Position Description:*
SAS International is currently seeking a Special Operations Forces (SOF)
Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare
Training Center (MCMWTC) exercises and collaboration for program
development. This is a full-time position located in *Bridgeport, CA*.
SOF SME that will assist the MCMWTC in the training and instruction of
SOF personnel and units, the development of SOF-specific instructional
materials, selection and development of training sites, and act as an
observer-controller during the Final Exercise portion of the MTX. The
SOF SME will support MCMWTC through development of curricula and media,
exercise planning, design and execution, and implementing instruction
through primary locations. This effort is critical to provide advanced
and standardized training in Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF)
Operations, Combined Arms Training at the Battalion level and SOF
training. Additionally, the MCMWTC requires SME support for the
examining lessons learned, supporting experimentation, analyzing
emerging concepts, incorporating best practices, and advocating for
rapid and appropriate institutional solutions to be applied across the
service, joint and SOF communities.
Curriculum and training support products include but are not limited to:
SOF support producing products and instruction that are aligned with
USMC, US Army, and Joint doctrines promulgated by the Marine Corps
Information Operations Center, Marine Corps Forces, Cyberspace Command,
US Special Operations Command, and the US Army Training and Doctrine
Command respectively.
The SOF SME shall provide Joint SME support, curriculum development, and
instructional service support for the conduct of the MTX and the entire
Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC). The scope of the instructional
requirements requires a SOF SME with a comprehensive knowledge of the
technical fields associated with the training curriculum to provide:
1) development and sustainment of curriculum, and 2) delivery of
instruction. The SOF SME shall participate in information and planning
meetings; communicate with training centers and external commands and
develop or provide input to briefings and reports.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* The SOF SME will assist in the Exercise Control section with
evaluating SOF units during the conduct of MTX as there is usually
more than one SOF unit participating in MTX.
* The SOF SME will assist the MCMWTC R&S instructor cadre in the
training and instruction of SOF personnel and units, the development
of SOF-specific instructional materials, selection and development
of training sites, and act as an observer-controller with a SOF unit
during the force-on-force Final Exercise portion of the MTX.
* The SOF SME shall participate in information and planning meetings;
communicate with training centers and schools; and develop or
provide input to briefings and reports
*Qualifications and Experience/Education*
The SOF SME shall be a fully qualified former or on terminal leave SOF
operator with a minimum of 10 years of cumulative experience in Marine
Corps Raider, U.S. Army Special Forces, or Naval Special Warfare units
and be a fully qualified Level One SOF Master Mountaineer or Marine
Corps Summer and Winter Mountain Leader.
Critical aspects of the SOF SME position include extensive knowledge of
special operations, team/platoon and company/troop level operations,
foreign internal defense, unconventional warfare, special
reconnaissance, cold weather operations, mountain warfare operations,
and military mountaineering.
Candidates must understand the importance of Special Operations
Forces/Conventional Forces Interoperability and Interdependence. Due to
the rigorous nature of the tasks assigned and rugged nature of the
training area at the MCMWTC, the SOF SME must be physically fit and
capable of performing mountaineering tasks, over the snow movement, and
long-range movement by foot carrying all required equipment. SOF SME
must be able to complete a Marine Corps physical fitness test with a
minimum unadjusted score of 225, evaluated by the COR within the first
90 days post hiring.

Job Description:
* An ITA Local Employee Personnel Screening Team Screener conducts
screenings, complete reports and do all necessary background checks

forces. Screeners shall structure their interviews to create a
professional and respectful environment. Screeners shall utilize

interview and how the information from the interview will be utilized.
* Results of a screening will be reported to the respective AFOSI and
installation security/force protection offices, if derogatory
information is discovered, as prescribed by the local AFOSI Commander.

derived from the operation of a LEP screening cell is the property

Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist
Our Procurement Services team is hiring a Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support our strategic sourcing efforts, timing, and impact of contracting and purchasing functions. Our Laboratory Services Department is seeking an Environmental Scientist to join the Analytical group in performing analyses on source, drinking, power plant cooling, ground, and wastewater samples. You will have the opportunity to analyze water and wastewater for a variety of organic and inorganic analytes and interpret data for our water and wastewater treatment plants, all while working in one of our progressive laboratories. You will also work alongside a dynamic and highly skilled group of scientists whose priorities include evaluating, testing, and producing the cleanest drinking water in the region while keeping environmental protection at the forefront of our efforts. If you have progressively responsible environmental laboratory testing and analysis experience and are excited to leverage your testing and analytical skills, we would love to hear from you! Some of the ways in which you will make an impact include:
Preparing, testing, and analyzing drinking, source, and wastewater samples in compliance with applicable standards (e.g., ASTM, EPA, SM) in support of the SDWA and CWA
Conducting advanced analytical testing including general chemistry, organic and inorganic analysis, disinfection-by-products analysis, and other testing using advanced and highly specialized instrumentation
Operating sophisticated analytical instrumentation, including GC-MS, IC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS– and troubleshooting, configuring, maintaining, and repairing instruments
Performing complex qualitative and quantitative analyses, reviewing and validating data, and preparing quality control reports
Conducting quality control monitoring for CWA, SDWA, and 503 Regulations for Inorganics to comply with EPA requirements
Please note that working occasional holidays and weekends is required for this position.
Who You Are
Relevant and progressively responsible environmental laboratory testing and analysis experience
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related field
Knowledge of and skill with advanced instrumentation
Knowledge of and skill with GC-MS and LC-MS/MS are beneficial
Previous experience with method development and validation is preferred
Knowledge of standard methods and procedures for chemical testing, and analyses of water and wastewater samples, including quality control measures
Experience with SDWA and CWA plant processes is beneficial
Knowledge of water and wastewater collection, distribution, and treatment principles
Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and EPA regulations
