Ensure milestone decision reviews and interim progress reviews adequately address safety performance concerns. * *Input for JCIDS Process:*?Offer input and review for the Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS) process, collaborating with research, laboratory, and industry partners to facilitate independent safety analysis and align safety systems with operational mission requirements and FSOH readiness requirements. * *Data Analysis and Readiness Improvement:*?Utilize data analysis to enhance the readiness and availability of both military and civilian workforce through the implementation of acquisition policies, procedures, and standards across all systems, including aviation and weapon systems, and human integration systems. * *Advocacy for Technological Innovation:*?Advocate for innovative technological solutions that directly contribute to the Department?s mishap reduction goals, staying abreast of advancements in safety technologies and recommending their adoption where appropriate. * *Policy Assistance and Coordination:*?Assist the FSOH in reviewing and updating aviation safety policy, such as Department of Defense Instruction 6055.19 Aviation Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Programs (AHIRAPs).
