This is a NAVSOF Ops and Planning Analyst position on the USSOCOM
Enterprise Wide Training and Education Program (UEWTEP) contract at NAB
Little Creek, VA.

*Will consider a former CWO3 or 4, or an E7 or E8 (Senior Chief) with at
least ten years of experience.***
Components of USSOCOM have the responsibility to execute large-scale
training exercises designed to enhance readiness and prepare SOF units
for deployment.- This position supports the TRIDENT series of exercises
under the NSWC N34 with duties at Naval Special Warfare Group (NSWG) Two
at Little Creek.

During this internship, we will be providing insight to the inner workings of the high performing cybersecurity team and offer a unique opportunity for college students to learn about the different facets available in a cybersecurity profession. The learning experiences acquired while working side by side cybersecurity professionals offers a well-balanced introduction into our industry and to our business.
A Cybersecurity Internship offers the following learning opportunities:
Training and hands on experience in system administration, critical thinking, and cybersecurity best practices
Exposure to program management skills (tools, follow-through, reporting, etc.) to ensure careful processes and standards are followed in program implementation
Opportunities according to aptitude and enthusiasm to explore further tools and specialties within the cybersecurity realm
In this position the Intern will learn different suites of tools, lifecycle management and maintenance of the tools and how they protect the organization. The Intern will also learn to work with Administrators on security practices, common mitigations, and use critical thinking skills to work through different scenarios and potential vulnerabilities.
Distribution of Projects and Time:
System Lifecycle Management: 50% - Support staff members with system management projects to maintain cybersecurity tools
Program Support: 30% - Support staff members with providing or updating documentation for cybersecurity programs and processes as well as methods for displaying metrics
Vulnerability Management: 20% - Support staff responsible for evaluating system vulnerabilities and collaborating with teams to apply mitigations
This internship position requires 20-40 as-needed work hours/week; with a maximum of 20 hours during school and up to 40 hours/week during the summer months and on academic breaks. Additionally, can be flexible to support a student’s school schedule. This position may be extended into Fall of 2023 dependent on the applicant’s availability and upcoming projects providing additional learning experiences and support.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist the lead or supervisory accountant to ensure the systems are configured properly and that transactions post
to the proper general ledger accounts.
• Work with the National Finance Center, the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, and agency lead or supervisory
accountant to prepare the agency's financial statements.
• Assist lead accountant in coordinating agency-specific components of the financial statements, such as the

• Review and interpret financial statements for Agency programs as assigned. Serve as the agency point of contact
with OIG during its audit of the agency or consolidated USDA financial statements.
• Review and reconcile agency trial balances; identify and correct erroneous balances and transactions. Review and
reconcile subsidiary ledgers with the general ledger and budget cost data.
• Backup the lead accountant as liaison with Controller Operations Division accountants at the National Finance
Center for issues related to the agency's accounting records.
• Provide technical assistance and professional advice to managers and others concerned on matters of financial

• Provide support to the agency budget team during the allocation and year-end closing processes. Assist lead or

Starting pay rate for a Journey Line Technician is $54.11/hr. Your pay rate will increase to $56.82/hr. upon successfully completing probation (typically 6 months).
Nature of the work:
Installing underground or overhead electrical lines by laying pipe, pulling wire, and setting meters
Constructing, maintaining, and testing electrical systems and related equipment
Repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting street light systems, poles, luminaries, and circuits
Switching or rerouting electrical systems using proper sequencing and connections
Assuring compliance with safety standards and work practices
Operating line construction vehicles and equipment including wire-pullers, bucket and boom trucks, and various hand tools

The primary objective is to provide Fire Protection engineering design
technical support on behalf of the Department of Defense for a
multi-billion dollar construction program in the Pacific.
Tasks shall include review of requests for information (RFIs), review of
contract submittals, review of designs performing constructability
analysis, review of design changes from the contractor (in design-build
projects) and the AE of record (in design-bid-build projects), drafting
minor designs to support contract changes, cost estimating, making
recommendations to the Owner to expedite resolution of technical issues

*Responsibilities*
Coordinate with team members to execute project scope, schedules, and
budgets in conformance with the project and customer requirements.
Research codes, guidance, policies, procedures, processes, criteria and
Federal laws and regulations and provide sound technical recommendations
in writing.
Perform field investigations, including the review of as-builts, to
determine existing conditions, document findings, and provide a report
to include written summary of the observations, data collected and
photographs.
Collect required data to provide recommendations, prepare documents,
and/or review deliverables. This data collection is to assist with the
preparation of cost estimates, schedules, reports, RFPs, SOW-s and other
project documentation.
Coordinate and hold meetings, determine requirements, coordinate
workflow processes, and schedule/coordinate plans of actions and
milestones (POAMs).
Review technical reports, RFIs, designs, design changes for both
design-build and design bid build projects, project deliverables,
submittals, and cost proposals from contractors to ensure compliance
with customer and RFP requirements.
Provide technical support for the review of the commissioning plan,
design and construction submittals, and field inspections.
Provide technical support for the construction field activities and
associated preparatory and quality control meetings.
Preparing reports, Requests for proposals, and/or scopes of work in the
required format, including all applicable attachments as required.
Participating in briefings/conferences. Prepare and deliver briefs
supported by necessary project documentation to project team members,
base personnel, and senior management.
Providing submittals/deliverables include but are not limited to project
reviews and recommendations, PowerPoint briefings, and presentations.
*Qualifications*
Be a graduate of an ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering college
curriculum (four) 4-year degree minimum AND have a minimum of (ten) 10
years- Design Management experience performing tasks identified herein.
Have their U.S. Professional Engineering Registration (P.E.).
Have completed and passed the Construction Quality Management (CQM) for
Contractors course or obtain the CQM certification within 90 days after
being assigned to the contract.
Must have the ability to communicate in English effectively both orally
and in writing.
Must have at least one (1) year of Fire Protection Engineering
experience in performing the tasks identified here in for Capital
Improvements related projects for NAVFAC or Corps of Engineers.
Have demonstrated experience in the use and application of Microsoft
Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc), Primavera, CostWorks,
