Project Description:

The principle responsibility of the Fusion Center Migration Technical Writer will be to work with the DLA Fusion Center Application Support team to develop detailed technical documentation surrounding the Fusion Center application.

This Fusion Center application is built on a Sun/Oracle platform and has complex input/output data architecture. The person in this role will be responsible for untangling the complexity and documenting the system and data architecture.

Position Description:

The primary project deliverables for the Technical Writer are;

• Fusion Center Build and Configuration documentation.
• Fusion Center interfaces, ports and protocols documentation.
• Other writing duties as assigned by project leadership. This may include meeting agendas, notes and minutes, decision briefs, etc.
• Fusion Center DLA Gold Documentation (if time permits following completion of above).

The Fusion Center application is currently hosted at the Defense Supply Center Richmond and is being targeted for migration to the DISA facility in Ogden, UT at the end of August. The technical writer need to work closely with the DLA technical resources in Richmond. The successful candidate will be required to gather and analyze the current DLA Fusion Center application architecture and document collected data into existing DISA and DLA documentation templates. In some cases, templates may need to be modified or expanded upon.

Required Skills:

• Deep experience with technical documenting and strong proficiency with MS Word and MS Visio and/or PowerPoint.
