Job description
This is a remarkable opportunity for someone who is very good at what they do, and totally fed up with the instability and frustration of working in large bureaucracies and high risk startups. This is a medium sized company that has made money every year, has cash in the bank, a stable executive team, and one of the better work/life balance environments in Silicon Valley today. It is nice to see such low overall turnover, and a stable executive team who has worked well together for years. Highly unusual in such a competitive space.
Formal Description:

I have not had a bad placement since 1989 because I believe in win/win/win.

Their network control appliances are the default recommendation of major integrators (e.g. AT&T Global Services, Accenture, CA) and partners including Cisco, VMware, and Riverbed. There is growing emphasis in the key area of security that needs talent and attention. In short, this is a great opportunity to see your ideas come to life and make a difference. 10. Sr. Network Security / Cyber Security Consultant: Sunnyvale, CA
Duration: Full Time
Currently, one of our Customer is in strong need of people with vulnerability and exploit research and development expertise. The problems they are facing with product development are not traditional "information security" or "network security", but cyber security R&D. And that is a very competitive and hard to find skill set because all the major OEMs (Microsoft, Cisco, Google etc.), all the security companies (Fireeye/Mandiant, Symantec, TrendMicro etc.), small independent researchers and the government are all recruiting and building their own teams, so the experienced talent pool is small and in demand. So, I am working out through LinkedIn to get connected with the right & interested resource poll for this exciting opportunity.
Consultant will work closely with members of Product Management, User Experience, and User Interface Engineering teams to design and develop new software products as well as to enhance existing products and online offerings. Ideal candidate will thrive on developing innovative ideas for Cyber Range testing. Strong need of people with vulnerability and exploit research and development & cyber security R&D expertise.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Expert/Lead Technical role working with product management on product direction based on real world experience and security field knowledge.
* Add new features and enhance threat and intrusion detection test engines.
* Work closely with application development teams to deliver new Cyber Range tests.
* Work within a test driven development team where unit tests are integrated from the earliest stages of the development cycle; familiarity with Scrum and Agile Software Development methodologies strongly preferred.
* Lead and Mentor other team members
* Communicate effectively, both verbal and written.

* BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent with relevant work experience.

39. ASSISTANT COMMANDANT OF CADETS – Marion, AL
MARION MILITARY INSTITUTE
1101 Washington Street, Marion, Alabama 36756
INTENT TO EMPLOY
Posting Date: May 27, 2014
POSITION: ASSISTANT COMMANDANT OF CADETS
SUMMARY: Marion Military Institute (MMI) is the oldest military junior college in the nation and traces its origin back to 1842. Over the years MMI has produced more than 200 admirals and generals, as well as prominent leaders in business, industry, and government. In 2006 MMI transformed from an independent (private) institution and joined the ranks of the Alabama Community College Association. Today, on average, more than 400 cadets, both male and female, from more than 40 states, attend MMI.
An exciting time to work at MMI, the Institute’s Strategic Plan, revised in February 2010, provides a roadmap to improve and modernize academic programs, refurbish facilities, enhance the cadet leadership program, promote community involvement, and much more. These initiatives are designed to retain the tradition and spirit of a classic 19th century southern military college, but operate as a 21st century institution of higher education.
The heart and soul of MMI is embodied in the Corps of Cadets. All students attending MMI participate as members of the Corps and are expected to embrace the MMI motto of “truth, honor, and service.” As one of only five military junior colleges nationwide, MMI offers several programs that provide cadets the opportunity to pursue a commission in the Armed Forces of the United States. These programs include the U.S. Army’s Early Commissioning Program (ECP); a one-year Service Academy Program (SAP) for cadets transitioning to one of the five U.S. Service academies; the U.S. Marine Corps Platoon Leaders Course (PLC); and, the opportunity to participate as a member of the U.S. Air Force ROTC detachment at the University of Alabama.
Almost half of the cadets attending MMI enroll in the LEP program. The program provides young men and women the opportunity to experience the discipline, structure, and leadership opportunities commensurate with a military school without obligation to the U.S. military.
MMI is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and competes in the Alabama Community College Conference. As such, many of the basic cadets participate in MMI’s varsity athletic programs to include men’s basketball, baseball, tennis, and wrestling, and women’s softball and tennis. Many student-athletes are prominent members of the Corps, serving in highly regarded leadership positions.
