POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
FSR to support the operational integration of the direct and indirect fires systems (i.e. FGM-148 Javelin, TPQ-50 and TPQ-53 radars, Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), M109 Howitzers, mortars, and related simulators at fire direction centers and Latvian Mechanized Brigade, Latvian National Guard (Zemessardze), JHQ, and MoD) and training across the DOTMLPF-P range from tactical employment to operation level planning in support of Latvian Armed forces training for a one (1) year period. JOB DESCRIPTION *
Serve as a Joint Special Operations Command J7 Strategic Exercise Operations Planner at Fort Bragg, NC. Lead, coordinate and facilitate the wide variety and scope of support within the Exercise Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) for specific named worldwide strategic and operational level exercises in addition to seminars, academic training sessions, and staff exercises. JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Primary Purpose:
Why the job exists; this is the ultimate or overarching accountability for the job.
This position is responsible for carrying out specialized administrative support to include serving as interpreter for Spanish speaking students, transportation of students, lodging coordination, record keeping, preparation of reports, scheduling and database management for the Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School (NAVSCIATTS) International Military Student Officer (IMSO). This includes direct support of all International Military Students (IMS) in the areas of administration, socialization, cultural enrichment, transportation, recreation, logistical and customer support services for all IMS.
Essential Functions:
The essential functions or tasks should state the purpose of the work and the results to be accomplished, rather than how the function is performed.
Include those functions that account for 10% or more of the work, i.e., key functions that contribute significantly to the achievement of the job.

In more detail, the following specific actions relating to Student Support Coordinator in support of NAVSCIATTS Task Order on the NSWC M-SOFS contract are required:
Provide specialized administrative support and coordination of logistic support activities.
Serve as Interpreter for Spanish speaking students during non-duty hours.
Maintain the personnel tracking matrix and ensure updates are entered in a timely manner.
Responsible for the orientation, accountability, and issuance of security IDs for all students.
Coordinate and schedule appointments for issuance of all students Common Access Cards (CACs).
Coordinate and conduct Field Studies Program (FSP) events for all International Military Students (IMS), adjusting for annual throughput increase of 15% per fiscal year.
Assist with the yearly FSP Budget for review by the IMSO and forward to NETSAFA and NAVY IPO for acceptance and implementation.
Coordinate with course instructors to write, proofread and upload International Student Academic Reports (ISAR) to Security Cooperation Training Management System (SC-TMS) for individual IMS. Provide any additional remarks on students’ participation in extracurricular and community affairs.
Assist in the administration of English Comprehension Level (ECL) testing for IMSs. Record and archive scores for placement in IMSs’ files.
Conduct pre-briefing for all IMS before departure to FSP activities to ensure they understand the objectives of the event. Brief escorts on their role and responsibilities ensuring they also understand the objective of the FSP and topics to be covered. Provide IMS with emergency and assistance phone numbers. Inform the appropriate funding clemency representative of any significant changes involving participants, itinerary, or funding requirements.
Provide technical support for programming dormitory doors and key cards.
Maintain adequate inventory of office supplies, forms, and printed materials, and notifies the appropriate person for re-ordering.
Gather all travel and medical records and other required documents form IMSs upon arrival. Checks passports/visas and compares with IMS International Travel Orders (ITO) for accuracy; notes any discrepancies. Escorts the IMS to their berthing assignment and demonstrate the proper function of room amenities such as safe, microwave and telephone. Provide IMSs with any necessary further instructions/guidance.
Assist with locating and making venue reservations, in support of a 20% increase in Graduation Ceremonies and conducts all related supplementary duties for set-up and break-down, such as: arrangement of flags, chairs, lecterns, diplomas, and plaques; uploading PowerPoint of student photos to computer for use with projector and screen; ensures proper functioning of lectern digital display; and, transportation of students. Additional task may include filing the role of Master of Ceremony.
Assist in creating FSP Schedule for each class, ensuring all cultural differences are reviewed and handled accordingly within the appropriate Chain of Command.
Perform record keeping and database management and create a class roster for each class.
Schedule the daily and weekly activities for IMS and ensure changes are promptly identified to alleviate any discrepancies between scheduled activities and the Course of Instruction for the Students.
Coordinate all travel and lodging requirements for students attending FSP events located within a four hundred mile radius of NAVSCIATTS.
Attend official command functions and social events to include evening and weekends as required. Travels as required.
Coordinate with the Supply Department for collection/payment for student lodging at the end of each Semester.
Comply with Navy policy and procedures in the use and responsibility of U.S. Government Fleet Fuel card program, per NAVSUPINST 4200.98A.
Complies with policies and procedures as set forth in the corporation’s Handbook of Policies and Procedures.
Write correspondence in accordance with SECNAVINST 5216 Correspondence Manual, when necessary.
Perform data entry on IBM-compatible computers utilizing current versions of Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office applications like Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other related programs.

The Challenge:
As a deliverables manager, you’ll implement and maintain organizational programs in support of a billion dollar task order. You’ll work with program leadership to oversee daily operations to support a SharePoint deliverables management system, summarize key performance metrics for the deliverables management system, and provide trend and performance data to task order. This is a chance to directly impact a meaningful mission, while growing your skills in program strategy. We are looking for a Utility Projects Scheduler to provide project, project portfolio, and program scheduling expertise including resource and budget management support functions for the System Planning & Projects Division. This division plans and delivers projects and programs that serve the electric, natural gas, water, and wastewater needs of the Colorado Springs community. Our team of dedicated professionals meet the needs of our organization by ensuring that infrastructure projects are delivered efficiently through their project lifecycle with effective application of project controls skills and supporting tools and systems.
This position will be filled at the Senior Technical Project Manager (Controls IV) or Technical Project Manager level (Controls III); placement will be based on the qualifications, knowledge and demonstrated experience level of the successful candidate.
Key Focus Areas:
Project Schedule Development and Support:
You will work with project delivery teams to develop and maintain project schedules throughout the project lifecycle. You will also work with project delivery teams to establish the work breakdown structure, activities, constraints, and milestones for projects. You will be responsible for updating and maintaining overall project schedules as well as the schedule(s) for contracted project scope elements through the incorporation of service provider and/or contractor scheduled activities, or their complete schedule within the overall project schedule. Additionally, you may analyze and make recommendations for accepting or rejecting service provider/contractor, monthly progress, and changed condition schedules. As part of reviewing schedules, you will determine the impacts of changes to the schedule including critical path, activity sequencing, and resource requirements. Finally, as necessary for budget and resource management, you may also work with project teams to cost and resource load project schedules.
Project/Program Portfolio Schedule Development and Support
You will work with project delivery teams and staff to develop and maintain project portfolio schedules that include the scheduling constraints associated with interdependent and/or related projects/programs and their lifecycle phases. You may analyze (e.g. “what if” analysis) and make recommendations regarding planning for and executing schedule changes for interdependent portfolios of projects. Additionally, you may work with staff to analyze and determine the budget and resource impacts associated with project/program portfolio schedule changes.
Budget Management and Resource Support
By developing and maintaining a comprehensive capital improvement plan cost loaded schedules, you will work with project delivery teams and staff to analyze and make recommendations for controlling and managing multi-year capital and expense budgets including forecasting and leveling resource efforts.
Schedule Training and Controls Leadership
As a member of the project controls team you may be asked to serve in a leadership position providing oversight for controls projects and initiatives or as a lead to junior controls team members, providing coaching, and mentoring. Through collaboration with planning, engineering, and project managers you may be asked to develop and implement project controls and monitoring processes and procedures, particularly as they relate to schedule and cost/budget development to ensure projects achieve scope, schedule and cost objectives. Assistance with project controls and project management training is expected, especially with advancing our scheduling practice.
Who you are...the ideal candidate will have experience and expertise in scheduling and scheduling controls skills including: Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development, activity network development, activity logic relationships (e.g. Finish to Start, Start to Start, Finish to Finish, Start to Finish), Critical Path Method (CPM), schedule tracking, analysis, and reporting.
Additionally, the candidate will have experience with both Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. While many of our more complex projects/programs are managed in Primavera P6 and a scheduler is required for these projects, a large number of our projects are managed in Microsoft Project by project managers. The ideal candidate will have expertise in scheduling using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. They will also be able to develop scheduling best practices and provide training support with both scheduling software tools.
Demonstrated experience in the application and use of Oracle’s Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project is required, including;
Schedule development (project, project portfolio, and program)
Schedule analysis (project, project portfolio, and program)
Budget management support including analysis, reporting, and forecasting using cost loaded schedules
Labor resource management support including analysis, reporting, and forecasting using resource loaded schedules
Developing and training staff on scheduling processes and procedures.
A Bachelor of Science in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or Business Administration as well as certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred. The ideal candidate will also have 10 years or more direct experience in a Project Manager/Project Controls position related to the above responsibilities. Post-graduate degree can be substituted for a portion of the minimum experience required depending on actual post graduate degree obtained.

Our Energy Supply Department is seeking a Power Plant Instrument Technician Apprentice! In this role, you will be responsible for meeting the preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance needs of the equipment used to ensure our power plant operates efficiently and effectively. This position is part of a formal apprenticeship program within the Instrumentation and Controls trade. This is an immersive on-the-job learning opportunity for someone who desires to be an expert in their trade! The skills you develop and the experience you gain throughout the apprenticeship will contribute to our ability to maintain our critical power generation assets - and maintain our power plant generation reliability.
This position is subject to 24-hour call-outs and rotating weekend standby based upon knowledge and/or training opportunities.
This position is associated with a certified Department of Labor Instrument and Controls apprenticeship program. The employee will be required to successfully complete the apprentice program within a 5-year time frame.
Please note: This position is part of a formal apprenticeship program within the Instrumentation and Controls trade. As such, pay for this position will begin at $27.68/hour and will progress throughout the duration of the apprenticeship based on the schedule below.

How Will You Make an Impact?
Installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of electronic instrumentation for industrial controls, protective relaying, and Distributive Control Systems/Programmable Logic Controllers
Conducting tests using various diagnostic systems using specialized test equipment
Installing, tuning, and calibrating microprocessor-based instrumentation and control system components associated with power plants

Who You Are
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.); Associate's Degree in Electronics and Computer Technology or a closely related field is valued
Possession of a valid, unrestricted driver's license
Relevant experience with mechanical or electrical equipment and systems is valued
Knowledge in any of electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical principles and theories is valued
Familiarity with calibrating electronic instrumentation is valued (e.g., transmitters, valve positioners, analyzers)
Ability to use electronic diagnostic equipment is valued (e.g., digital volt communicators, HART communicators, signal generators)
Basic knowledge of mathematics, algebra, and trigonometry is valued

How Will You Make an Impact?
Resolving complex billing adjustments and corrections by researching, analyzing, evaluating, and identifying consumption inconsistencies.
Verifying meter readings, (automated & manual) and consumption patterns for complex customer billing issues
Serving as a subject matter expert on and/or managing billing-related projects including business processes, writing test scenarios, conducting testing, determining results
Managing assigned billing programs including maintaining up-to-date process documents, ensuring processes are completed, evaluating the effectiveness of the program, and identifying program and process efficiencies.
Providing backup support for resolving customer escalations and providing customer account summaries to leadership
Who You Are
Relevant and progressively responsible experience in a customer service capacity is valued
Experience with Business Intelligence and Data Analysis tools (e.g., Oracle, Dataraker, InfoMart) is valued

In this job, you will be working under general supervision and making critical, independent decisions in a fast-paced environment under sometimes stressful conditions. You will also:
Continuously monitor and maintain reliable system conditions via Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Energy Management System (EMS), including State Estimator (SE) and Real-time Contingency Analysis (RTCA) solutions; perform real-time and day-ahead power flow studies utilizing EMS network analysis tools
Coordinate with other reliability entities (Reliability Coordinator, Balancing Authority, and neighboring Transmission Operators) to ensure overall grid stability and reliability
Develop and/or implement operating plans as necessary to mitigate unacceptable system performance; respond to changing load and supply resource situations, as well as abnormal and emergency conditions – some of which may be volatile and require resolution within short timelines – to ensure continued reliable operation of the Bulk Electric System (BES)
Perform short-term load forecasts (STLF) to predict and plan for load, supply resources, and reserve obligations and ensures those obligations are met in real-time
Communicate operational information with generating plant personnel; dispatch generation real and reactive output manually or via Automatic Generation Control (AGC); support optimum economics while assuring regulatory compliance and reliability of the Bulk Electric System
Based on current or forecasted system conditions, approve/deny requests for transmission services (TSRs), sales/purchases of transmission capacity and/or energy (e-Tags), and generation schedules; assist with coordinating and have final approval authority for outages of CSU transmission and generation assets, as well as protection, controls, and communications equipment
Plan, prepare, and issue switching and tagging instructions for the operation and restoration of the electric transmission system; issue Permissions, Clearances and Hot Line Holds and coordinate with neighboring system operations personnel for Source of Power Clearances; issue Operating Instructions to field and power plant personnel
**This role provides 24/7/365 coverage and the successful candidate will work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
