The JSEAS effort is a joint venture among the US Navy, US Air Force, and UK Ministry of Defense to develop safe escape and mission planning products for the JSF aircraft.
The JSEAS Software Developer will perform a variety of software development and maintenance activities for the Joint Safe Escape Analysis Solution (JSEAS) program. The focus for this position will be the design, development, unit test, and documentation of object oriented software sub-systems.
The Developer will apply documented project processes and tools to ensure that quality standards for development and configuration management are applied to the JSEAS software development effort. Documentation of the intermediate steps and products will be critical and the Developer will fully participate in preparation of support documentation including design specs, change request notes, action items, defect analysis, alternative analysis, unit level tests, and others.

Engineer supporting the KLXS contract serve as technical expert for the development, implementation, management, and support of Spacecraft Handling. Experience level: 4-10 years

This position is in support of NASA's Constellation Program and will be directly supporting the KSC Ground Operations Project Office. The successful candidate will support NASA in ground operations processing of Altair Lunar Lander spacecraft from Post-DD250 to launch. NASA will process Altair in an offline spacecraft facility including crew equipment checkout, high pressure gas and propellant servicing and Multiple Element Integrated Testing. Upon completion of these activities, NASA will encapsulate the Altair spacecraft in a payload fairing and mate the Altair spacecraft to Ares V. After an abbreviated integrated test between Earth Departure Stage and Altair spacecraft, the Ares V integrated stack will move to Pad 39B for launch and rendezvous with the Orion spacecraft.

This is considered a journeyman level engineering position. Responsibilities may include designing and developing plans, processes, procedures, functional and data requirements analysis, system analysis, and documentation preparation for complex systems. May be required to provide guidance to less experienced engineers. Engineering disciplines that may map into this SLC include mechanical, electrical, aerospace, propulsion, industrial, chemical, materials, computer, environmental, structures, thermal, safety, software, systems, handling, assembly, transportation of spacecraft and quality.

Frequently interacts with customers and/or other team members. Interaction requires the ability to gain cooperation of others conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects. US Central Command (USCENTCOM) located at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida, is the unified command responsible for US security interests in 27 nations that stretch from the Horn of Africa through the Arabian Gulf region, into Central Asia. USCENTCOM is one of nine unified commands in the Department of Defense. The command was activated in January 1983 as the successor to the Rapid Deployment Joint Task Force.

Summary of duties and responsibilities
Source Analysts shall provide Theater Campaign Plan objectives assessment development and analysis of courses of action in support of studies, data requirements and analysis for work directed by the Analytic Agenda. This shall include current year and/or future baseline submissions and other products as directed by the Joint Staff. Study objectives include course of action analysis, operational planning, time-phased force deployment data, feasibility assessments, identifying and managing areas of operational risk, determining force requirements, and developing tactics, techniques, and procedures for tactical and operational problems. Analysis is performed using widely accepted military combat models and simulations, all source intelligence analysis as well as other appropriate operations research techniques. Provide the analysis in support of the Analytic Baseline (AB) development for several countries in the USCENTCOM AOR. Details and documents specific products, study questions, outcomes, and limitations for Government and Contractor concurrence prior to commencement of the analytical requirements and/or results. Provide support to gaming activities. Source Analysts interpret, synthesize, and present results and recommendations to senior military and civilian decision makers. Source Analysts shall be responsible for employing and maintaining selected models and simulations specifically designed to analyze some aspect of military operations. Provide database support – to include but not limited to database development, update existing database, data input, validation of data - for implementation into future Concept of Operation/Operational Plan (CONPLAN/OPLAN) formulations and excursions. Must be capable of leading and managing interdisciplinary study teams conducting studies of a scope and nature expected of a theater level command. Also must have a detailed knowledge in military doctrine, planning and operational employment of forces - combat arms, combat support, and combat service support. In support of the Global War on Terror, provide analysis of campaign objectives and capability requirements for operations. This analysis shall include investigation on force structure sizing, ammunition requirement determination and analysis of alternatives in support of capability based planning initiatives. Source Analysts shall provide analysis, coordination, synchronization, corroboration documentation, tracking management, assessment, oversight and recommendations on JUONs and SWarF operational needs requiring a detailed analysis and assessment in support of USCENTCOM’s mission using Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership, Personnel, and/or Facilities (DOTMLPF) solution(s). These efforts shall include communication, coordination, and corroboration, staffing and tracking with multiple Component, MAJCOM, CJTF, and Service HQ points of contact in support of USCENTCOM's Warfighting Joint Urgent Operational Needs (JUONs), to include OSD-level interaction for Immediate Warfighter Needs (IWN). TS eligible (Current SSBI investigation is required)

Education and Experience –
Masters Degree from an accredited college or university or BA/BS degree minimum with completion of MEL4 (command and general staff college service equivalent) of military schooling plus 15 years of task related experience OR a combination of 20 years of military operational experience (5 of which earned as E-6 or O-3 or above). Operational experience includes planning and executing combined and joint operations at the theater or component level, knowledge of combat arms, all source intelligence analysis, logistics, civil-military operations, and site’s area of responsibility or functional area) and task related experience.

Academy Administration and Curriculum Development Trainer

Duties: Provide guidance and expertise on the operations if the program and conduct military training at the NCO level. Oversee the beginning operations and administration of an NCO Academy. Train and assist SPLA Academy administrative staff in the complete array of staff functions for an institutional setting. Develop the capacity within the Academy to develop and produce quality curriculum to meet future requirements. Assist, SPLA Academy in developing detail-training plans to support Academy operation.

JOB SUMMARY:
This position is located in the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security. The Office of Regional Directors has an opening for one (1) Tactical Communications Specialist. This is a full-time, one-year renewable, personal services contract position at the GS-13 equivalent level. This position is located in Washington, D.C., and requires frequent, extended deployments to Iraq. Relocation expenses will not be paid for this position. (Salary Range: $86,927 - $113, 007)

DUTY DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities of this position include:

Evaluate existing tactical radio communications systems and recommend upgrades or enhancements to maximize coverage and functionality.
Identify current needs, project future requirements, and recommend strategies to ensure sufficient communications and continued operability of systems.
Design practical and sustainable radio communications systems for assigned regions.
Recommend strategies to mitigate system vulnerabilities and limitations.
Research and maintain knowledge of current U.S. and host country laws, regulations, and policies governing tactical radio communications.
Develop and conduct training for U.S. Government personnel and private contractors regarding the proper use, care, and maintenance of assigned tactical communication systems.
Draft and/or review technical statements of work and proposals for installation, repair, and maintenance of tactical communications equipment.
Provide quality assurance oversight of such work.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
U.S. citizenship required. This must be clearly stated on the application.
The applicant must have at least 1 full year of specialized professional engineering experience at the GS-12 equivalent level that has equipped them with the particular KSAs to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field in a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum.
OR
A combination of education and experience/college level education,training, and/or technical experience that furnished (1) a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying professional engineering, and (2) a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering sciences and techniques and their applications to one of the branches of engineering.
Knowledge of the theory, principles, techniques and practices in radio communications and the ability to perform effective planning, systems design and operation.
Comprehensive knowledge of radio communications systems used by the U.S. Department of State, including the following: AN/PRC-117, HPW, COBRA, AN/PRC-152, AN/PRC-150, and KIK-20 secure DTD2000 system.
Ability to instruct operator personnel with varying levels of technical knowledge on the proper use of the following systems: AN/PRC-117, HPW, COBRA, AN/PRC-152, AN/PRC-150, and KIK-20 secure DTD2000 system.
A medical clearance is required.

1. Administer, maintain, redevelop, and re-platform existing databases currently using Oracle versions 10g and earlier, and Microsoft SQL.
2. Design, create and monitor SQL server jobs, SSIS packages, stored procedures, scheduled tasks, audit logs, and other database processes/workflows.
3. Monitor and administer SQL server backup and recovery plans.
4. Maintain functional structure of legacy systems.
5. Perform routine and periodic database maintenance.
