Job Description
The Deputy Project Manager will report to the Project Manager, and will bear responsibility for ensuring that all work required in the contract Contractor Support Services in Support of Base Defense Operations Centers (BDOC) in Iraq is performed satisfactorily and all terms and conditions of this contract are met.
Requirements
• The Deputy Project Manager assists the Project Manager in supervising, overseeing, and directing the program in Iraq.
• Assists the Project Manager in providing direction to the staff working in Iraq. Such direction includes identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining security processes, practices, and policies throughout the organization to (1) respond to incidents, (2) reduce risks, and (3) be aware of and have access to information on any potential risks to the program and all involved parties (i.e. financial, physical security, reputation etc.).
• Recommends appropriate standards and associated risk controls to the Project Manager who will evaluate those recommendations and may propose them to the Contracting Officer (CO), Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR/GTM), and Regional Security Officer (RSO).
• Assists the Project Manager in ensuring timely and accurate reporting, assists in evaluating personnel prior to them being approved for any position under this contract.
• Assists in ensuring all aspects of planning, scheduling, organizing, managing, and assessing performance of assigned leadership, support personnel and sub contractor assigned under this contract.
• Assists in providing all labor management and services needed to maintain BDOCs across Iraq.
• Assists the Project Manager in ensuring compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) for this contract.
• Assists the Project Manager in reviewing, assessing and determining any disqualification of any behavior that would reflect poorly on the United States Government, Department of Defense, U.S. Embassy, local Governments and Protection Strategies Inc (PSI).
• Assists in providing weekly reports to PSI management per the Performance Work Statement.
• Assists in overseeing the project for effectiveness. The candidate will make sure that personnel are properly vetted and that the leadership is executing their responsibilities efficiently and effectively.

Requirements Specific Job Skills:

Minimum of 5 to 10 years experience in engineering services in Shredder operations, MRP, downstream & zorba recovery in recycling metals, mining, construction, or a similar heavy process industry including project management, BS degree in related discipline ideal.
Three to five years of Project Management experience in engineering design, prototyping, and implementing electric, electronic, and/or mechanical systems, minimum of three to five years as a PM/PE. PMP certification is a plus.

• The overall objective of the AGFC G6 Network Operations Center Mentor is to advise the AGFC G6 Director and his staff in effectively managing all communications requirements operating including: all equipment, associated software, security, and personnel required for the operation of the NOC.

Must have successful results on mechanical aptitude/math skills test. Must have basic understanding of construction equipment and tools.

Must also be able to work independently outdoors in unfamiliar surroundings, as well as extreme weather conditions. Additionally, must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including work that may involve considerable walking, squatting or work on irregular surfaces and occasional lifting of objects over 50 pounds.

Successful applicants must possess ability to read and understand maps and construction print. Strong organization skills with electronic administrative paperwork are necessary for this position. Excellent customer service and conflict management skills are also required.
