Duties:
. The Air Fire Desk Technician (Air Fire) is responsible for
opening, clearing and closing live-fire range and training facilities.
. Using RFMSS the FDST tracks scheduled units on ranges and training
areas.
. Updates and posts current status of units during training
operations.
. Enters data and maintains active/inactive status of the facilities
by use of the range facility maintenance management system (RFMSS).
. Maintains communications with using unit Officer in Charge (OIC),
initiates calls for Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) if needed and
activates/deactivates airspace requirements.
. Updates and maintains RFMSS logs, (DA 1594) daily journal,
airspace activation/deactivation, communications, utilization,
no-show/cancellations, downrange reporting, incidents and end of day
processing.
. Tracks all downrange personnel conducting training or maintenance
operations across the range complex.
. In addition, to the above responsibilities, the Air Fire Desk
Technician will focus on the installations assigned special use airspace by
providing safe de-confliction and integration of aviation live and non-live
fire simultaneous combined arms training events using RFMSS and IRSS.
Certifications and Qualifications:
. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
. Be familiar with Special Use Airspace (A2C2) procedures in a joint
training environment.
. Schedule airspace and coordinate with assigned FAA air traffic
control centers.
. Must understand the application and function of targets and
associated equipment.
. Military knowledge required in Combat Arms; work in range
operations, laser and ammunition safety, radio procedures, map reading,
first aid, CPR, electrical, carpentry, and PC operations.
. Valid Driver's license and qualify for a military driver's license
within 30 days of hire.
. Must be able to listen with comprehension to assist customers with
problems. Must be knowledgeable of FM radio communication procedures.
. Ability to use and interpret Army manuals. Ability to use good
judgment and common sense when performing job functions. Ability to follow
written and verbal instructions. Ability to be punctual. Patience to work
under sometimes stressful conditions.

You qualify for this position at the GS-9 level if you possess one of the following:
A. One full year of specialized experience. Specialized experience is described as experience in project management involving work with Federal, state, local and or Tribal officials on management/administration of program or projects.
B. Successful completion of a Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree OR have 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D., that is related to the duties of the position.
C. A combination of higher level graduate education and experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 level, that when combined will total one full year of specialized experience.
You qualify for this position at the GS-11 level if you possess one of the following:

Job Summary
Supervise train crews on a freight train and coordinate switch engine crews. Place cars to facilitate loading and unloading and the makeup and breakdown of trains in a rail yard, industrial plant, or similar locations.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with all train orders, signals, and railroad rules and regulations for safety, operations, and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA)
• Review instructions from dispatchers and yardmasters, and discuss with locomotive engineer and train crew
• Inspect all equipment on cars prior to departures
• Receive and transmit information by radio and telephone
• Read and understand bulletins, work orders, and switch lists
• Assist and instruct train crews to couple and uncouple cars, operate switches, and make minor repairs to railcars, including replacing heavy couplings or air brake hoses
• Work with customers to ensure accurate movement and placement of cars

Training
You will attend six weeks of training at the Railroad Education & Development Institute (REDI) in Atlanta, GA. CSX will pay for travel, lodging and meals. You will complete an additional 8-22 weeks of on-the-job training at your assigned location as required by collective bargaining agreement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Curriculum Analyst will support the Marine Corps Engineer School (MCES) under the functional control of the Training and Education Branch Head. The analyst serves as the subject matter expert (SME), continuity, and repository for all curriculum efforts supporting the Commandant of the Marine Corps’ Engineering efforts. The analyst provides expert Engineering specific advice on the impact of analytical efforts upon the doctrine aspect of the Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership, Personnel, Facilities (DOTMLPF) spectrum. Coordinating the development, publication, and maintenance of all engineer related curriculum in support of the Marine Corps Engineer School. Conducting close and continuous liaison with HQMC engineer advocates facilitating integration of engineer capabilities throughout the MAGTF. Serve as liaison with Doctrine Control Branch, Capabilities Development Directorate, Training Command, Training and Education Command (TECOM), Marine Corps Warfighting Lab (MCWL), and Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) – all within Deputy Commandant, Combat Development and Integration (DC, CD&I); as well as the Operating Forces on all engineering related matters.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering preferred OR other engineering degree plus 6 years of experience in an engineering field OR a High School Diploma plus 12 years of prior military experience in the combat engineer field is required.
• Functional knowledge of the Marine Corps Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS) processes and supporting analysis and methodologies are required.
• Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft (MS) Office applications to include Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
• Must possess well developed communication skills; have the ability to speak in front of large groups; and express thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely in both verbal and written format.

As a Public Assistance Project Specialist in FEMA's Reservist Program, you will be responsible for:
• Writing quality project worksheets (subgrant applications) that can be obligated (funded) without changes (complete scope of work, damage description, and accurate cost estimate) in accordance with the Public Assistance Crew Leader project formulation plan;
• Preparing project worksheets (subgrant applications) including: Conducting site inspection; documenting eligible damage; Conducting project research and analysis as needed; Formulating eligible scope of work; Estimating costs of scope; Identifying and coordinating special considerations; Identifying and coordinating special considerations; and Providing supporting documentation;
• Conducting small project validations in accordance with the validation standard operating procedure.
• Coordinating with the applicant’s technical staff, consultants, and others as required by the applicant and project.
• Educating customer on Public Assistance program;

• This position is temporary and intermittent and you will work during disaster declarations.
• You will be paid only during times of deployment.
• You will be paid sick leave and earn one hour of sick leave for every 20 hours in a pay status, up to four hours each pay period.

This position is ideal for an expert, senior administrative officer looking for an opportunity to assist the Chief Administrative Officer in providing executive-level direction and oversight of all Office of Chief Administrative Officer (OCAO) components through a staff of senior Federal management officials. This position starts at a salary of $123,758 per annum at the GS-15 level. In this position, the incumbent assists the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) in coordinating a large and diverse portfolio and workforce, and planning, directing, staffing and implementing the full scope of administrative business activities for FEMA, including: real property management, safety, records management, workplace analyses and administration, and privacy. The incumbent serves as a principal advisor to the CAO, Associate Administrator for Mission Support, and Deputy Associate Administrator for Mission Support on all matters related to Agency administrative and assistance activities.
Specific Duties:
• Assist the CAO in providing direct leadership for major programs and projects with agency-wide impact.
• Support the CAO in oversight and coordination of a full range of managerial responsibilities, to include establishing OCAO goals and plans, resource use and allocations; oversight of OCAO component support processes; guiding development of organizational policy; coordinating OCAO support activities within and outside of FEMA; and assessing the organizational efficiency, effectiveness and responsiveness of programs to customers.
• Represent the CAO as the senior agency official responsible for implementation of laws, Executive Orders, regulations and similar directives for assigned program areas, including serving as Senior Real Property Officer under Executive Order 133327 (real property asset management) and serving as the designated Senor Official responsible for Executive Order 13423 (environment, energy, and transportation).
• Represent FEMA on various inter- and intra- agency groups and boards to coordinate policy, guidance, procedures and activities. Serves on the DHS Undersecretary of Management’s Readiness Support Council.
