Job Description:
The position of COC Network Training Specialist instructor at the Communication Training Center is a dynamic position. Candidates need to have experience in teaching highly technical theories and systems to a variety of students with differing knowledge levels. RONCO anticipates a need for Military Instructors with operational tactical EOD experience to instruct foreign military personnel how to respond to surface and sub-surface ordnance incidents. This position is responsible for delivering complicated EOD and UXO curriculum material to a wide variety of audiences, including but not limited to:
Responsibilities:
• Providing instruction on current domestic and international terrorist TTP including IED threats, (remote controlled, command detonated, etc), explosive hazards, response planning for IED/surface ordnance incidents in both permissive and non-permissive environments
• Preparing and facilitating practical hands-on familiarization with specialized EOD tools, such as robots, disrupters, and energetic tools, as well as protective equipment, detection and identification equipment, and application of electronic countermeasures
• Setting up practical EOD problems for students’ field training exercises, including command and control scenarios, booby trapped houses, and drill scenarios
• Maintaining knowledge base as the SME in assigned course content including qualification as Demolition Operations Supervisor
• Conducting research using tools such as SIPR, periodicals, journals, open source Internet, etc. to identify and interpret evolving threats and TTP innovations within area of operations
• Improving curriculum and course materials through research, intelligence gathering, and training revision


Qualifications:
Eligible candidates will possess superior relationship and interpersonal skills and an ability to interface with all levels of Command. Candidates must be self-starters who can think and act quickly and independently, exercise sound judgment, and approach training with a determined, hands-on attitude.
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
• Team Leader experience in a high threat environment is required.
• Instructional experience with foreign militaries is required.
• Technical knowledge of C-IED operations and surface ordnance EOD response is required.
• Curriculum development experience is preferred.
• Overseas operational experience in Iraq/Afghanistan is required.

As an Automotive Mechanic (Diesel) in the Response Directorate, Disaster Communications Emergency Communication Division, Mobile Emergency Response Support (MERS) Detachment you will be responsible for the full range of field-level overhaul and repair work on chassis group units of one or more types of vehicles.
This position is designated as “emergency essential”. If selected, you are required to travel at a moment’s notice to various regional locations to provide, plan, operate and maintain tactical, mobile telecommunications, operations, and logistical support to Federal, State and local disaster response personnel and to support other emergency and special event operations
PROMOTION POTENTIAL: Future promotions will be dependent on your ability to perform the duties at a higher level, the continuing need for an employee assigned to the higher level, and administrative approval.
EXCEPTED SERVICE: The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is accepting applications for a full-time position in the Mobile Emergency Response Support (MERS) Detachment. MERS positions are in the Excepted Service. Employees will not acquire civil service status, but will have standard and optional benefits.
EMERGENCY ASSIGNMENT: FEMA employees are subject to 24 hour on-call in the event of any emergency. This service may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites that require functioning under intense physical and mental stress.
Relocation expenses are not authorized for this position.

Duties

Specific Duties:
• Performs overhaul and repair work on vehicles powered by internal combustion engines to include commercial/industrial use vehicles such as trucks, forklifts, and multi-wheel drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintains an inventory of tools, parts, and supplies needed for field repair of vehicles and maintains a capability to field repair breakdowns using the resources available and transported with the convoy.
• Writes and implements preventive maintenance plans, procedures and checklists to maintain vehicles on site and while en-route to deployed sites.
• Performs periodic preventative maintenance on all vehicles and equipment, performs body repairs, paints and repairs fuel tanker pumping units, repairs vehicle air conditioning units,, repairs and/or replaces vehicle tires and tubes, etc. to assure all systems are operational.
• Services vehicles and equipment by following standard, reference manuals, and schedules. Changes oil and filters when required, lubricates all moving parts and checks critical items for needed repair or replacement.
• Uses own initiative to acquire equipment and supplies in a timely manner, ensuring documentation is always properly annotated and closed in a timely manner. Equipment and supply storage areas, work areas, parts bins and cabinets are neat, orderly, and well organized, properly labeled, and segregated to facilitate rapid location and identification.
• The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in his/her state of residence, with required endorsements, as a condition of employment.

Qualifications and Evaluations
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position at the WG-11/12 you must meet one or more of the qualifications below:


WG-5823-11: applicant must have one full year of specialized experience performing inspections, maintenance service, overhaul and repair work on chasis group units of one or more types of vehicles powered by internal combustion engines to include commercial/industrial use vehicles such as trucks, forklifts, and multi-wheel drive with automatic and transmissions and auxiliary equipment. Experience must also reflect adjusting injectors, valves, pumps, and governors.


WG-5823-12: applicant must have one full year of experience troubleshooting , inspecting, testing, analyzing and performing required repair of vehicle computer/electrical controls systems, mechanical and hydraulic systems, lubricating, cooling, air conditioning and exhaust systems, engine electrical systems, engine fuel-air systems, emission control, electronic/pneumatics controlled automatic transmission and differential, power dividers, power trains, breaks, steering and suspensions systems. Experience must also reflect the ability to use a variety of shop and complex test equipment such as analyzers, compression testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, pressure gauges and computer diagnostic tools to correctly diagnose to the exact nature and extent of repairs or adjustments necessary.


WORKING CONDITIONS: The work setting may vary from a properly equipped repair shop to an excessively hot, cold, windy, or wet outdoor environment.
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Incumbent must be capable of working effectively in a high stress disaster environment, at times under less than desirable weather and living conditions, 7 days a week, 12 or more hours a day, for up to 30 days. Must be physically and mentally capable of performing all tasks and duties associated with a mechnic in a disaster response organization.

This is a special sensitive position which requires an active/current Top Secret/SCI security clearance based on a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). You must be capable of receiving and maintaining SCI access and must meet the requirements of DCID 6-4 and Executive Order 12968. General Job Description:

Telum is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer specializing in Storage & Virtualization Architect to join its team of experts at Fort Meade, MD. The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for enterprise storage and virtualization assessments, design, and upgrades, as well as the ongoing health and maintenance of virtualized environments and Storage Area Networks (SAN). Design and implement a multisite continuity of operations replication environment for MS Office SharePoint Server portals.

Position Requirements:

- Must have experience with storage products such as EMC.
- Must have experience designing and planning SAN and virtual environments.
- Must possess extensive knowledge of SAN and virtualization best practices.
- Must have the demonstrated ability to configure / manage Cisco, Brocade and similar switches, as related to SAN and VM configurations, VLANs, iSCSI and Fibre Channel.
- Must have experience with tape backup systems and architecting / maintaining backup systems such as CommVault.
- Must have experience with Fibre Channel and iSCSI server interface and configuration.
- Possess demonstrated experience with multi-server environments running VMWare ESX / ESXi / vSphere products and associated management applications ( vCenter Server, Orchestrator, Life Cycle Manager, VCB vRanger, VEEAM, etc. ).
- Experience with Hyper-v clustering required.
- Expertise with Windows OS ( Vista,7,Server 2003,Server 2008 ) and Active Directory required.
- Must possess knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy on Windows 2003 / 2008 / 2008 R2 Server in PKI Token based single sign-on environment.
- Must possess knowledge of Datacenter infrastructure, including DNS, pxe, dhcp, NTP, SMTP, MS Exchange, AntiVirus, Security, McAfee HBSS.

Job Summary:
Candidate shall provide operational assistance to the Joint IED Defeat Organization in support of current operations. The scope of activities includes Technology Assessment and Integration and Operations Research Systems Analysis Support.

Job Duties:
Operations Research Analysts provide relevant and timely analytical support to Regional Command, Division Support Elements, US Brigade Combat Teams and Regimental Combat Teams, C-IED Support Teams, and Provisional Reconstruction Battalions. Skills and Qualifications:
Five (5) years of experience in Operations Research (OR). Knowledge of ground forces mission types, force structure, and warfighting concepts, TTPs, and doctrine. Five years of experience in drafting and making oral presentations to customers. Training at a Service-accredited Operations Research course, such as the Army’s ORSA MAC I. Ability to build multi-layered products in ArcGIS with country boundaries, districts and provinces, and IED data from CIDNE by manipulating converted Excel files data.

Education and Certifications:
~Bachelor Degree in technical field
~Masters Degree in Operations Research or related field preferred

Specialized experience is described as experience in a position as a senior professional educator and course developer responsible for providing professional education oversight guidance to contractor personnel engaged in course development, pilot testing, evaluation, and course revision.

2. Ability to develop statements of work, statements of objectives, and performance work statements for course developments, especially assuring courses are developed in accordance with agency/organization standards and course development processes.
3. Ability to conduct educational evaluations for assigned training activities.
4. Knowledge of interactive adult education, web-based instructional systems design, and educational technology as applied to education standards, objectives and milestones.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, establishing and monitoring timelines successfully.
6. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
