JOB SUMMARY: Direct, plan and coordinate the development of and maintenance of the myriad of USAFA community plans. Provide advice and feedback to commanders on the established USAFA plans, ensure projects comply with planning objectives, or brief commanders on the impacts of incompatible development.
PRIMARY DUTY: Direct and administer the day-to-day community planning agenda, including providing technical assistance to commanders, the Engineering Service Division Staff, Planning and Programming Branch, local governments, El Paso County, planning commissions in areas regarding planning, zoning, environmental concerns and other miscellaneous matters related to overall planning, growth, and development within the Academy and the regions surrounding the Academy. Update and maintain all planning documents required by AFIs and UFCs, including, but not limited to, General Plans, Area Development Plans, Air Installation Compatibility Use Zone plans, Joint Land Use Study (JLUS), and Integrated Cultural Resources Management Plan (ICRMP). Review on-base projects for conformance with USAFA plans and design standards as well as for potential impact on cultural resources. Coordinate approval of projects impacting cultural resources through the Section 106 process with the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO). Coordinate required Archaeological reports, preservation plans, artifact curation and Native American consultations. Work with airfield staff to ensure airfield mission conforms to UFC requirements, including preparation, maintenance, and staffing of required airfield waivers, assisting with plans to mitigate and eliminate waivers and receiving input into airfield master plan and the Air Installation Compatibility Use Zone (AICUZ). Prepare Statement of Works (SOW) and cost estimates that establish funding requirements and serve as a basis for negotiating Architectural and Engineering and Planning Service contracts. Review off-base projects with proximity to USAFA to ensure proposed development is compatible with USAFA mission. Provide input related to USAFA mission into local governments’ comprehensive plan development and update. Attend public meetings on and off base, city council meetings, county commission, Council of Governments and planning commission meetings. Organize committees/Regional Planning Councils that include on and off base interests and briefs committees on USAFA proposed actions. Provide technical assistance in preparing reports and maps on issues dealing with community development.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Additional duties in direct support of departmental requirements.
EXPERIENCE: Ability to work with little supervision and work well under time constraints. Requires experience in planning for higher education campuses, air force installations, and knowledge of city, county, and regional planning issues including zoning, encroachment, and land use concerns is highly desirable. Experience with GeoBase is desirable
EDUCATION: Minimum 4-year degree in Community Planning, Community Development, Architecture (emphasis in community planning), or other planning related area.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Works with reporter as a team to get the best possible video to tell each story with accuracy and maximum impact. Looks for newsworthy people and events, listens to police scanners and monitors other news sources while traveling on duty and reports to the Assignment Editor or Producer. Edits stories, shoots weather video during every shift, and makes new dubs as required. Acts as reporter at local news location when no reporter is assigned, captures compelling pictures.

Qualifications:

12. Position Title: Military Trainer (Slovenia)

Position Description: The Slovenia MDMP Team Leader will be responsible for conducting a 5 day PDSS, 5 day SATMO introduction course, delivering a six week MDMP / Battle staff block of instruction and delivery of a final AAR to members of the Slovenian Armed Forces and SATMO program managers. The Team will consist of four (4) personnel. The Team Leader will serve as a subject matter expert in US Doctrine and Battle staff procedures currently being used in OEF. Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force (CJSOTF) combat experience is preferred. Prior experience working with the Slovenian Armed Forces a plus. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist with identifying Baseline Processes and Critical Functions within the Architecture of Integrated Information Systems (ARIS) models.
• Assist with storyboard development for test scenarios and assist with requirements analysis to ensure effective and responsive documentation, test scenarios, and test cases are developed and executed.
• Assist in verifying the following (but not limited to) documentation against GCSS-Army functional requirements to be used in test scenario/test case formulation: Business Process Procedures (BPP); Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms/Workflows (RICE-FW); ARIS Flows, and Army Integrated Logistics Architecture (AILA) products.
• Validate the test scenarios/test cases and ensure that test scenarios and test cases will provide the proper system test.
• Participate in Test Readiness Reviews and developmental and operational testing conducted by PM, GCSS-Army.
• Execute and validate effectiveness of the test scenarios/test cases and verify execution of associated test scenarios/test cases. The contractor shall report test defects found during validation of test scenarios/test cases.
• Follow up on status of defects found during testing and verify follow-up of associated test scenarios and associated documents.
• Retest the system processes after corrective actions are applied to the application.
• Validate regression testing of defects identified in earlier testing.
• Enter the results of all scenario/test case validations and system test results into the automated test support system.
• Prepare After Action Reports, Trip Reports, Meetings, Conferences, Progress Reports, etc.

Responsible for the overall direction of the NDC program. Serves as the primary point of contact for all contract issues and responsible for the following:

Organize, coordinate and direct the program, resolves conflicts between team members setting the quality and tone of project communications, manages sub contractors, managing project execution, approval process, as well as budgets, forecasting, and reporting. Experience working with Geophysics experts in order to detect special events in the atmosphere, underwater, underground and in space, to determine if they are nuclear and to report them to national command authorities. In this role the individual will be responsible for:

Support the planning, organizing, directing and tracking of major aspects of the project
Work closely with the Government Contracting Officers to ensure contract goals are met
Monitoring on and off site personnel
Monitoring contract and employee performance
Perform other duties as directed

The best qualified candidate will be an individual with a minimum of 5 years of Program Manager experience whether through professional positions or uniform service (preferably with the USAF or Navy) and will have no less than 5 years experience in managing/directing a staff of 10 or more professional individuals. Air Force Technical Applications Center experience is highly desired. This position requires experience in writing business and/or professional papers as well as technical responses to DOD solicitations. The successful candidate will reflect initiative and strong interpersonal skills for relating effectively with university faculty, administrators, senior military personnel, and industry partners; have demonstrated experience and ability in overseeing multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environment; and have strong computer skills to include presentation software, effective program management software and tools, Microsoft Office Suite and Internet research experience. This position requires travel to a variety of CONUS locations.

Ensures accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools. Data contains information pertaining to one or more business areas of interest to the end user. Responsible for optimizing the performance of the database when queries are requested, which involves administering tools to perform data mining functions and to process the data within the database. Creating, debugging, and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers. Utilizing relational Oracle 10 and SQL Server database technology in a DBA capacity Unix Shell scripting, command line logic across multiple operating systems. Developing and delivering data warehouse and business intelligence solutions. Oracle database tuning coupled with data analysis. Works on complex problems. Acts as advisor to a unit or sub-unit and becomes actively involved as required to meet schedules or resolve problems. May provide guidance to less experienced engineering personnel.
