Oerlikon Balzers USA needs a Sales Engineer with strong technical and product knowledge of the PVD coated general engineering market to fuel growth in our established markets. You will be responsible for growing the North American business, currently with an expected growth rate of 20% annually, to the next level by capturing new business and enhancing the current. A solid working knowledge and experience in selling to several of the following industries is a must: aerospace, fluid power, power generation, medical or off-highway equipment. Within these industries our main target applications are components for pumps, compressors, roller bearings, gears, machine tools, precision mechanics, domestic appliances and more.
The ideal candidate will offer Oerlikon Balzers USA the following:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience)
• Technical knowledge of PVD, heat treatment, electro-plating and other metal surface treatment methods are all highly preferred but not required
• Ability to develop and implement sales strategy in our target markets

Analyst to join our team at the Shaw AFB in Columbia, South Carolina.

You will build tactical and strategic network profiles of specific systems
and complete network architecture. Analyze network intrusion detection
systems and conduct vulnerability assessments. Develop reports and trend
analysis documentation on bandwidth, network architecture, as well as
network security incidents. Demonstrate operational knowledge of network
intrusion devices specific to the Department of Defense as well as many
commercial information assurance tools to include Internet Security Scanner
(ISS), Cisco Security Agent (CSA), SecureWave, and other zero-day personal
firewall and security agents. Implement a variety of virtual private network
(VPNs) both software (IPSec) and hardware solutions.

Direct, organize, and utilize crisis management techniques during outages,
virus outbreaks, and in high pressure environments. Use advanced technical
writing skills to develop and update IT systems concept of operations and
engineering plans. Create and manage network intrusion devices specific to
DoD as well as many commercial information assurance tools to include
Certification Authority (CA) and a variety of virtual private networks
(VPNs) both software and hardware.

Overview: Provide on-site Department of the Army (DA), G-8 liaison support with emphasis on military installation/site coverage and a focus of coordinating and reporting on any equipment concerns/activities with G-8 interests, between the installations, HQDA, and other Army representatives as appropriate. The purpose of the coordinating and reporting is to facilitate equipment fieldings in support of the ARFORGEN process and the Army G-8.

Education and Experience Requirements: Must have the minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in performing Force Development related military duties, three (3) of which must be direct Headquarters, Department of Army Staff experience or equivalent. Force Development experience is defined as experience in translating Army materiel requirements into programs synchronized across the DOTML-PF domains in a fiscally constrained environment.

Responsibilities will include:

- Provide G-8 liaison support for G-8 equipping actions (modernization, transformation, and reset) in support of the Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN) process, coordinating with the G-8 Force Development personnel.

- Provide regular updates and responses to G-8 related equipping actions specific to unit equipment authorizations, equipment on-hand status, fielding, and readiness status to the government representative.

- Prepare draft information papers, draft decision papers, draft End of Day/Week Director’s notes, draft Executive Summaries (EXSUMs) and draft briefings as they relate to unit equipping issues for review and approval by the government.

- Provide analytical summaries of Unit Readiness Reports and provide recommendations to noted equipping issues to the government representative.

- Provide regular unit equipment fielding status report updates to the government representative.

- Provide coordination support for meetings involving G-8 equipping actions.

- Coordinate “Lessons Learned” with the Center for Army Lesson Learned (CALL) on site representative and provide draft reports for the approval of the government documenting the issues and recommendations.

- Provide coordination in support of G-8 visits to ACs, ASCCs, DRUs, units and installations.

- May be required to deploy to overseas locations to provide liaison support on rotational assignments.

Security Clearance: Must have the minimum of a Secret clearance.

Additional Skills:

- Have an understanding of the processes and procedures found in Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Instruction (CJCSI) 3170.01 “Operation of The Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System” (JCIDS).

- Assist in conducting reviews and analyses of JCIDS documents related to the functioning of the Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC), Joint Capabilities Board (JCB), Functional Capabilities Board (FCB), Army Requirements Oversight Council (AROC), Army Marine Corps Board (AMCB), Army War Production Board (AWPB) and Army Requirements and Resourcing Board (AR2B).

- Have an understanding of the processes and procedures found in Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5000.02 “Operation of the Defense Acquisition System”, and the Defense Acquisition Guidebook.

- Assist in conducting reviews and analyses of acquisition documents related to the functioning of Cost Review Boards (CRB), Overarching Integrated Product Teams (OIPT), Study Advisory Groups (SAG) and Joint SAGs (JSAG), Army Systems Acquisition Review Council (ASARC), and Defense Acquisition Boards (DAB).

Overview: Provide on-site Department of the Army (DA), G-8 liaison support with emphasis on military installation/site coverage and a focus of coordinating and reporting on any equipment concerns/activities with G-8 interests, between the installations, HQDA, and other Army representatives as appropriate. Responsibilities will include:

- Provide G-8 liaison support for G-8 equipping actions (modernization, transformation, and reset) in support of the Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN) process, coordinating with the G-8 Force Development personnel.

- Provide regular updates and responses to G-8 related equipping actions specific to unit equipment authorizations, equipment on-hand status, fielding, and readiness status to the government representative.

- Prepare draft information papers, draft decision papers, draft End of Day/Week Director’s notes, draft Executive Summaries (EXSUMs) and draft briefings as they relate to unit equipping issues for review and approval by the government.

- Provide analytical summaries of Unit Readiness Reports and provide recommendations to noted equipping issues to the government representative.

- Provide regular unit equipment fielding status report updates to the government representative.

- Provide coordination support for meetings involving G-8 equipping actions.

- Coordinate “Lessons Learned” with the Center for Army Lesson Learned (CALL) on site representative and provide draft reports for the approval of the government documenting the issues and recommendations.

- Provide coordination in support of G-8 visits to ACs, ASCCs, DRUs, units and installations.

- May be required to deploy to overseas locations to provide liaison support on rotational assignments.

Security Clearance: Must have the minimum of a Secret clearance.

- Have an understanding of the processes and procedures found in Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff Instruction (CJCSI) 3170.01 “Operation of The Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System” (JCIDS).

- Assist in conducting reviews and analyses of JCIDS documents related to the functioning of the Joint Requirements Oversight Council (JROC), Joint Capabilities Board (JCB), Functional Capabilities Board (FCB), Army Requirements Oversight Council (AROC), Army Marine Corps Board (AMCB), Army War Production Board (AWPB) and Army Requirements and Resourcing Board (AR2B).

- Have an understanding of the processes and procedures found in Department of Defense (DoD) Instruction 5000.02 “Operation of the Defense Acquisition System”, and the Defense Acquisition Guidebook.

- Coordinate the operational aspects of equipment fielding to include the following:

- Assess issues and draft resolutions to meet productivity, quality and unit-satisfaction goals and objectives.

- Develop mechanisms for monitoring progress and for intervention and problem solving with equipment fielders, analysts and unit representatives. Establish forums for reviewing progress and resolve issues related to fieldings and New Equipment Training.

- Assist with quality control by monitoring the development of the unit equipping database and the install yard database and reconciled differences to ensure accurate and timely information is inputted to the databases.

- Coordinate install yard projects for units needing equipment installed in tactical wheeled vehicles.

- Coordinate with property owners for space and support for install yard operations and schedules equipment installers to meet the training schedule of the gaining units.

Draft input to planning documents for new unit activations, unit reset and transformation.

- Assist with managing the fieldings of equipment to US Army Forces in Alaska.

- Review shortage lists, equipment authorization documents and property accounting documents to identify equipment shortages for new units and units undergoing reset to prepare for future deployment.

- Initiate contact with Army Project Managers (PM) to coordinate a plan for filling shortages. In coordination with the gaining unit and the fielding PM, draft a schedule for training soldiers on the new equipment and a schedule for issuing the equipment to the unit's accountable officers.

- Attend frequent meetings with the various equipment PMs and the unit representatives to facilitate successful fieldings.

- Track equipment shipments and notifies gaining unit property officers of equipment schedule.

- Coordinate for de-processing, winterization, or repair as required to insure that equipment is prepared for unit acceptance.

- Maintain copies of issuing documents. Insure equipment fielding schedules meet the training requirements of the gaining unit. Elevates schedule issues that affect unit training.

- Monitor the processes of New Equipment Training (NET) and equipment issue to insure that soldiers are properly trained and that equipment is accurately accounted for by the gaining unit.

- Provide assistance with management oversight of materiel fielding teams. The contract shall monitor fielding actions and provide recommendations for fielding issues resolutions.

- Provide weekly or more frequent updates on fielding schedules and execution by entering data in Excel documents.

- Draft and published approved schedule for NMIBs, NET, and fieldings in coordination with the equipment fielding analysts. Identify and coordinate space (classroom, motor pool, etc) for PM provided training events and NMIBs.

- Produce a calendar with event related information on the events and publish it online to be available to unit representatives, staff, and leaders.

- Collect and integrate various equipment lists (EXCEL), MTOEs, and unit CPLs into a relational database that can be queried to produce reports for analysis and dissemination.

- Insure currency and availability of the unit systems architecture product (NETVIZ) create an online vehicle configuration data base to support install yard operations, and produce reports on installation progress.

• Review and revise tactical communications blocks of instruction, instructor and student materials, and present tactical telecommunications equipment and operational training in support of the Multi-TDL School and Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) training program in accordance with the schedule established by the JID.
• Provide tactical communications instruction, planning, technical support, and subject matter expertise for the execution of JID operations during scheduled supported exercises and contingency operations. The Contractor may be required to deploy to other exercise or operational support locations as directed and IAW CJCSM 3115.01, Joint Data Network (JDN) Operations.
• Provide technical assistance and evaluation in identifying JID communications needs and shall develop recommendations for the identification and procurement of communications equipment, services and training to support the requirements of the JID.

Education and Training Requirements:
• BS or BA degree or possess documented training in Joint Operations at Military Staff College level.
• Must have formal instructor experience in a service school or training command and have prerequisite experience listed in the next section.
• The communication specialist must have a minimum of two years of instructor experience training a technical course on the subject of Communications.
• Three years of experience in a Joint assignment may be substituted for staff college training.

Experience Requirements:
Possess a minimum of 3 years of service training experience in JTAO data link interoperability doctrine, tactics, techniques, procedures, and training at the Joint Interface Control Officer level.
Possess documented training on data link management tools to include Link Monitoring System (LMS)-16/11, IJSS, JSS, JRE, and with the Air Defense System Integrator (ADSI).
Minimum of five years of experience with Service, Joint, or Combined data link interoperability operations, exercises, and training, preferably as an instructor/supervisor.
• Possess documented training or a minimum of three years experience in curriculum development, formal classroom instruction, and use of ADP hardware and software.
• Desire a minimum of three years of experience in training program development under the ISD process or related structured curriculum development scheme.
• Experience with JTAO data link interoperability training may be with the military, Government, or Government contractor programs.

Duties and Responsibilities: Provide full-time on-site support to the FORSCOM Joint Interoperability Division, in administering and maintaining the Division’s Information Systems/Networks. Assist FORSCOM in the following activities associated with Information Systems/Network Administration:

• Administer and maintain the Division’s computer domains. Assist Division personnel as needed in the use of the domains.
• Provide technical support and assistance to the Division staff in the use of Division computer and audiovisual equipment, including staff workstations, printers, projectors and other equipment.
• Provide technical support and system administration for the Division’s Websites, including file transfer sites and Intranet sites.
• Assist the Division staff with development, update and maintenance of the Joint Interoperability Division Information Systems Management SOP
• Assist the Division staff with development, update and maintenance of the Joint Interoperability Division Information Systems Configuration Management Plan.
• Assist the FORSCOM network administrators in the resolution of network and system malfunctions inside the Division.
• Provide technical support to JMTS staff in the electronic configuration of the classrooms.
• Administer and maintain the classroom computers, to include hardware, software and anti-virus protection. Reconfigure the classroom computers as needed after each class to ensure standardization.
• Assist the JMTS staff and students in the use of the classroom computers.
• Provide technical support to the JMTS staff in the configuration of the distance learning center.
• Administer and maintain the computer equipment used in the distance learning center.
• Assist the Deconfliction System Administrator in the administration and maintenance of the JNDL Website and JTIDS Deconfliction Server.

Education and Training Requirements:
• Associate's Degree in a technical area or technical training in computer systems or similar high-technology field.
• Specialized computer training in networking or database management is desirable.
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification is desirable.

Experience Requirements:
• Experience in administering Microsoft NT 4.0 Servers in a multi-domain environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Internet Information Server 4.0 and Website administration.
• Experience in supporting Windows 95, NT Workstation, and Microsoft Office products.
