42. Subject: Two Job Openings - Counselor and Counselor Supervisor@ Ft Carson, CO
Fort Carson has job openings for 2 Guidance Counselors to include the Counselor Supervisor position. Apply according to job announcements below.
The civilian personnel office has released two announcements per job...one for employees with civil service status and another one open to "all
US Citizens". Links to the latter are pasted below.
Note that these positions are "term" for two years with the caveat later in the announcement that they may be extended for a total of not more
than 2 more years for a total of 4 years max. The truth as I currently know it is that it is our top leadership's current intention to eventually make these positions permanent (but no promises to this effect are made or implied), and the process and the rules around how this happens can be complicated. Anyone making it to the interview stage would certainly want to understand all the nuances before accepting these positions.
Also, anyone applying should carefully note the educational requirements and ensure that their application shows how these requirements have been
met. Also note the closing dates and if interested, don't delay applying.
