Overview

[Confidential] is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated and well organized individual with prior experience administering US government security policies and procedures to serve as a Facility Security Officer (FSO). The FSO will be part of the corporate headquarters staff located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. This is a flexible full time position.

The FSO will provide expertise, guidance and advice to executive management as required, concerning all security administrative functions in support of a NISP complaint Security Department. Position Description
Position Description: Datacenter engineer will be responsible for directing & coordinating infrastructure related datacenter activities, understanding and researching transformers, generator, switchgear, UPSs, ATS/STSs, PDUs, chillers/HVAC, fire detection and fire protection, BMS systems and more. Datacenter engineer will be stationed at the facility in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Will be responsible for managing Data Center and Server Room assets in Kandahar but may be called upon to provide support to other locations within Afghanistan and Qatar. Work hours required will be a 12x7 as a minimal, but on call 24x7.

Specific functions include but are not limited to:
* Monitor and control access to Data Center facility
* Monitor, Troubleshoot, and resolve power and HVAC failures
* Perform periodic physical inventories
* Administratively process install, change, and de-install requests for server and network components
* Maintain inventory control through tools including Visio, MS Access, Excel, Property Accounting Support Systems (PASS), and Seibel
* Assist with physical systems installation and hardware maintenance
* Coordinate installation and change activities through the Southeast RSC Change Advisory Board
Will interact daily with the in-house maintenance teams, external vendors, and Southeast Regional Service Center/DIA enterprise staff at all levels, assisting in developing, coordinating and ensuring organizational processes and procedures are followed.
The incumbent must be able to do physical labor sufficient to lift and rack moderately sized servers. Across all projects and processes, make recommendation to improve processes and resources.
Required Skills: A general knowledge of current server hardware technologies including Unix, Sun, HP traditional rack mounted servers and newer blade technology. The incumbent shall make recommendations to improve the current environment. The incumbent shall provide on-call services 24 hours a day to resolve any problem relating to the data center. Incumbent shall be DoD 8570 compliant with proof of certifications. Minimum of Security+ certified. Needs to have APC training.

Ability to effectively multi-task and successfully manage multiple projects. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong writing and organizational skills.
