Responsibilities
K2 Solutions, Inc. is seeking Military Operations Integrators to serve on a unique, multi-discipline team assisting Special Operations Forces (SOF) operational and tactical staffs and their subordinate units with fusing operations and intelligence information in order to enhance their effectiveness against enemy networks that employ Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
Military Operations Integrators, in conjunction with other members of the SOF Support Team, will work with tactical and operational Special Operations Forces (SOF) elements (ODA to TSOC) to leverage cutting edge tools and processes designed to improve intelligence and operations fusion within their planning and mission execution cycles. 
The focus of these fusion efforts is exposure of enemy networks that employ Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). 
The Military Operations Integrator will serve as the direct link between JIEDDO and deployed SOF units on all current and future initiatives.

DESCRIPTION OF JOB
This civil service employee will support the implementation of the University of Illinois Extension SNAP-Ed initiated and directed by Unit 3 Director.  The Community Worker will work with local residents (youth and adults) identified for SNAP-Ed programming to provide basic nutrition, food safety, physical activity, and food budgeting education for low-income individuals.
 
This is a security-sensitive position.  A comprehensive background check, including but not limited to a criminal conviction information check, a CANTS (Child Abuse and Neglect Tracking System) check, and a review of the Registered Sex Offender list will be conducted.
 
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
The Community Worker is administratively responsible to the University of Illinois Extension Unit 3 Director.  The Community Worker will work collaboratively and under the direct supervision of designated academic professional staff. This is an hourly position and work will be done in a 37.5 hour work week and a 7.5 hour day. This position requires some evening and weekend hours plus occasional overnight travel. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
•         In coordination with the supervisor, schedule educational activities for local residents (youth and adults) for intended SNAP-Ed programming.
•         Collaborate with County Directors, Educators, and others to identify needs of the intended audience.
•         In conjunction with partnering organizations, recruit program participants for classes/workshops in nutrition, food safety, physical activity and food budgeting.
•         Conduct basic nutrition, food safety, physical activity, and resource management classes/workshops and/or provide similar information for intended population at organizations/agencies within the target community..
•         Collaborate with specified Extension staff to identify potential community partners that serve low income families. .
•         Utilize and disseminate “approved” nutrition education materials as provided/written by the state specialists or educators.
•         Refer SNAP-Ed clients to other local agencies (FCRC, WIC, food pantries, etc.) and other Extension staff based upon additional needs/concerns.
•         Assists with conducting program evaluations to measure program impact. .
•         Assists with the implementation of education activities for special short term projects (WIC, youth summer camps, etc.). 
•         Help recruit and train volunteers as deemed necessary.
•         Maintains and/or assists with compiling of necessary records/documents to complete required reports, including SNAP-Ed activity reports, contact reports, attendance sheets, program evaluations/impact, travel, and other required reporting.
•         Under the direction of the supervisor, assimilate and disseminate educational supplies and materials related to food demonstrations.
•         Provide peer training and mentoring for new staff as directed by supervising educator.
•         Participate in local, regional and statewide professional development opportunities and staff meetings, some of which may be out of town.
•         Attend regional trainings with SNAP-Ed Educators and other regional nutrition program staff.
•         Adhere to the University’s and local unit’s use/request of leave time.

Work may include nights, holidays, and weekends on short notice.  Standard will be to conduct training six (6) days per week for up to twelve (12) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s) and a standard 40 hour work week while at CONUS work sites. 
 
Responsibilities:
 
•         Serves as an Operations Assistant for Bagram Airfield Garrison in the Installation Operations Center
 
•         Monitors incoming communications, passing messages and correspondence in accordance with
•         established procedures.
 
•         Assists with the preparation and publication of operations plans, orders and taskings for special functions, ceremonies, training events and community relations programs.
 
•         Provides clerical and administrative support to the chiefs and personnel of two significant sub-elements of the Plans and Operations Division of the Garrison Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security.
 
•         Receives visitors and screens, responds to, or refers incoming telephone calls. Maintains various calendars, making appointments and arranging conferences/meetings as required
 
•         Performs narrative and tabular data entry on a variety of electronic media. Performs applied topical research using files, other technical sources (research library), or through telephonic inquiry.
 
•         Maintains records and databases of communications, tasking, force protection and other related activities.
 
•         Assists with the preparation of operational reports for the Garrison, including situation, operation and spot reports and operations summaries for transmission to IMCOM-E.
 
•         Serves as a member of the Installation Operations Center under the direction of Senior Operations Specialists.
 
•         Prepares distribution lists based on plan content. Reviews and edits final product. Assembles varied tabular and narrative inputs into coherent, uniform formats for command briefings.
 
•         IAW FM 5-0 and JCS Publication 5.0, writes and coordinates operational plans (OPLANS) for events, tasks, training exercises, and missions.
 
•         Coordinates with other Base Operations Directorates, reviews their input, and publishes final plans upon receipt of approval.
 
•         Plans recurring requirements, one-time events or ceremonies, training exercises, and emergency planning as directed by local or higher headquarters taskers.
 
•         Reviews submitted plans for accuracy, availability of resources, and recommends approval/disapproval.
 
•         Reviews plans and orders for operational issues not addressed. Modifies/updates plans as changes occur.
 
•         Keeps in contact with supporting directorates to ensure all are advised of changes. Provides assistance to other activities in the preparation of plans. Conducts or participates in meetings with parties involved to acquire opinions, concurrence, or additional data essential to developing local plans.
 
•         Maintains current copies of plans, SOPs, LOIs, and regulatory guidance. Prepares, publishes and distributes operations orders (OPORD), fragmentary orders (FRAGOS), and MOIs associated with each OPLAN and changes to OPLANS.
 
•         Coordinates requests for presentation of Command Briefing to VIPs and prepares agendas areas. Prepares and updates briefing charts for other briefings, as required. Prepares and submits workload data to Senior Operations Specialist.
 
•         Performs other duties as assigned.
 
 
Skills:
 
•         Knowledge of Military Battle Staff Skills
 
•         Familiar with Army and Joint plans formats and other expository standards, using Army and joint planning documents.
 
•         Thorough knowledge of Bagram Base Operations capabilities and requires a practical knowledge of regulatory requirements of Bagram Airfield functional
 
•         Knowledge of office automation and clerical work involved in the processing, issuing, control and revocation of installation access identification such as photo cards/passes for appropriate personnel.
 
•         Maintaining records and documents and preparing various reports, initiating and changing access as
•         required.
 
•         Capable of performing a full range of standard clerical assignments in support of access control. Performs related steps, processes, and methods, identifying and recognizing differences among situations, and resolving recurring problems.
 
•         Must communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing.
 
•         Capable of independent judgment.
 
•         Demonstrate good temperament, judgment, patience and human relation skills and be able to communicate with the military, contractors, civilians, and local nationals in an occasionally contentious environment.
 
Required Qualifications:
 
•         Type 40 words per minute.
 
•         This is a mission essential position; incumbent must be readily available for recall to duty during any emergency condition effecting the safety and well being of the Bagram Air Field populace.
 
•         Military background with Staff Officer/NCO experience
 
•         The incumbent must qualify for and hold a SECRET security clearance.
 
Required Education:
 
•         High School Graduate (minimum)
 
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. SECRET Security Clearance
