This position is ideal for an financial professional looking for an opportunity to provide Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) management with budgetary knowledge to develop, consolidate, review and validate information pertaining to assigned budget accounts. In this position you will become a key member of the Center for Domestic Preparedness which provides specialized training to state, local, tribal, federal, international and private sector responders to prevent, deter, interdict, and respond to terrorist acts involving toxic weapons grade chemical agents, biological agents, radiological materials, and other hazardous materials.
• Typical Duties for this position:
• Reviews budget accounts to detect discrepancies, deviations, trends, etc., and refers to supervisor any questionable/irresolvable problems; also, helps to prepare budget justifications and projections for submission to a higher agency.
• Receives, manages and validates all invoices for payment in accordance with applicable office to execute payment in accordance with laws and policies while maintaining detailed automated and paper files of procurement actions, invoices and payments to insure payments are made and documented.
• Responsible for entering data into an automated financial management system to commit and obligate government fund for staff and student travel while providing a comprehensive review of system data.
• Provides technical guidance and advice on travel related issues; assist all activities within the CDP in the interpretation of government travel requirements; advises travelers/activities of problem areas and renders assistance to resolve these problems.
• Responsible for management and oversight of the Government Travel Account and associated credit card.

You qualify for this position at the GS-09 level if you possess one of the following:
Specialized Experience Requirements: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
One year specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-7 level in the federal service. Specialized experience includes assisting in formulating budget estimates; organizing budget data; providing accounting advice and guidance in the area of fiscal integrity, budget planning and execution; reviewing budget accounts for discrepancies, deviations, trends, receiving, managing and validating invoices and processing travel authorizations and vouchers for payment.
OR
A master’s or equivalent graduate degree, or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such as degree in a related field such as accounting.
OR
A combination of specialized experience and graduate level education.

JOB SUMMARY: Report to Design/Maintenance Engineer Manager to execute design and construction projects at the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) and auxiliary sites. Primary Activities and Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with all railroad rules and regulations for safety, operations, and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA)

Primary Activities and Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with all railroad rules and regulations for safety, operations and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA)
• Participate in group discussions including unit meetings, job briefings, safety meetings or process reviews
• Remove and replace track and track components (e.g. ties, rails, bars, etc.)
• Replace or repair track switches with specific components
• Slide and align tie plates

• Provides technical and engineering leadership to meet Space Test and Training Range (STTR) objectives at Schriever AFB, CO and other deployed locations.
• Responsible for producing superior analytical products such as: satellite communication engineering plans, developing engineering concepts, concept briefings, developing SATCOM link budgets, and recommending new equipment in support of customer requirements.
