Seeking a Systems Administrator/Cross Domain-Trusted Agent to support an Intelligence Community customer in Herndon, VA area.
We require an experienced UNIX/Solaris system administrator to assist the transformation of the Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence (CI/HUMINT) process. You will be working in a mid-sized team in a fast paced development environment. The team is highly motivated and includes experienced and passionate CI/HUMINT professionals.
The ideal candidate will responsible for cross domain transfer of data including database export, scanning, transfer and database update of records and associated documentation on an Intelligence HUMINT program in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with our Customer, Product Subject Matter Experts, End Users, and Software Engineers to ensure data integrity, develop new functional requirements for the transfer process capabilities and improve upon existing ones.
In addition to Cross Domain duties, the administrator may be expected to help manage network, system, and application performance of a multi-user Solaris computing system. Responsibilities include maintaining a Sun hardware environment, monitoring and configuring web application servers, providing technical assistance and consulting to the users, supporting the database administrators, and developing tools for managing the system. The candidate will troubleshoot network and application performance issues and recommends appropriate action. The position is at a customer site and frequent customer interaction is required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree plus 5 years of related experience, Masters Degree plus 3 year of related experience, 9 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
US Citizenship is required and an Active/current Top Secret /SCI (recent CI Polygraph within the last 5 years is highly preferred- otherwise selected candidate will be required to pass a CI poly prior to program indoctrination)
A minimum 3 years of experience with systems administration to include Windows and UNIX/Sun Solaris platforms (knowledge of LINUX is highly desirable).
Experience with Solaris/UNIX based procedures and scripting such as PL/SQL, PERL, UNIX – common shell scripting (k,c, bash, etc.).
Strong LINUX skills may be considered transferrable to Solaris.

L-3 NSS has an immediate opportunity for the right individual to join our team providing outstanding IT Support to the USAFCENT Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). NET salaries will be in the range of between $8,000 and $10,000 per month
• Taxes are currently being discussed however, as it stands now for U.S. Personnel you must be outside of the U.S. for a minimum of 330 days to receive the tax exemption for anything earned above $95,000/year; in other words the first $95K is taxable and anything above that is not, provided personnel stay outside of the boundaries of the United States for at least 330 days.
• Liberian taxes will be deducted but the client will most likely assist in applications for tax exemption on behalf of the consultants in which case, the tax would be reimbursed, but this is all subject to confirmation from the client.
o Taxes MAY be comp'd as this is a high priority International situation…but not to be expected.
• Salaries will be in accordance with UN salary bands
• In addition all flights, visas, transit costs as well as insurance death / disability cover ($250,000) and a separate medical aid cover through BUPA (British based medical aid). Accommodation will either be arranged for the consultants, or an allowance will be provided.
The schedule is as follows : 2 weeks training on arrival, 6 weeks in the Ebola Treatment Units (ETU’s), 1 week R&R, a further 6 week stint in the ETU (the last week of which will encompass a handover to the relief team coming in on their 18 week rotation), and then a quarantine period of 3 weeks. The quarantine location is still to be defined but plans are keeping the groups in Casablanca for this period – again, all costs will be covered and although they will not receive the hazard uplift, their base salaries and a daily per diem will be paid.
A note on the above numbers provided:
• We have to identify, vet, appoint and mobilize 17 such teams for rotation 1 and a further 17 teams for rotation 2, i.e. in excess of 720 people taking the non medical staff into account (WASH engineers, logistics, admin and the like).
• Each 24 man team will be supported by 180 local nationals per team.

The Digital Communications Specialist (DCSP) provides subject matter expertise in digital communications. Primary duties include the following:
• Conducts online market research;
• Monitors influential social media users in the affected communities;
• Identifies influential social media users and websites in the affected communities and build a database of identified users;
• Establishes contact with online counterparts;
• Participates in Headquarters social media conference call;
