The Staff Pathologist position is for the Companion Diagnostics Research and Development division of Agilent Diagnostics and Genomics Groups (DGG). The CDx division partners with pharmaceutical companies and others, to develop the next generation of companion diagnostic assays for novel drug therapies. The staff pathologist is part of a collegial, dedicated pathology group to develop the biomarker predictive assays and scoring algorithms, and will serve on cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams who work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Position summary: Overall, the Staff Pathologist provides general and specific tissue pathology support to the CDx division during development, registration and commercialization of companion diagnostic tests. The Staff Pathologist is a key stakeholder in CDx projects – typically using her/his pathologist expertise in activities related to: A) establishing tissue scoring algorithms, B) including digital pathology as a routine tool for predictive tests, C) engaging with Pharma partners to align on assay specific interpretation guidelines, D) participating in meetings with regulatory authorities on established data, E) providing slide viewing support and planning for the projects and F) managing the pathologist-to-pathologist dialogue between Agilent and Pharma-partner within the projects.
