The non-firefighter position of Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B) works under the direct supervision of the assigned EMS Captain/Supervisor in conjunction with other District Staff and the overall direction of the Operations Division. The primary responsibility of the EMT-B is to provide BLS care and transport of patients as a component of the Sacramento County 911 EMS System.

4. Collection and documentation of patient information per District policy.
5. Maintains and restocks inventory of ambulance and station EMS supplies through logistics orders.
6. Performs preventative maintenance inspections (PMI) on assigned apparatus.
7. Follows all Federal, State, County, Local, and District laws, regulations, protocols, and policies including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
8. Attend and successfully complete District and hospital training sessions and drills.
9. Participates in overseeing operational readiness and cleanliness of apparatus and equipment.
10. Performs other duties as directed by District Staff in accordance with the EMS Division.
Typical Qualifications:

Emergency Medical Technician
Provide live-fire emergency medical support. The contractor shall work with the MSOS SMO to develop and validate the latest emergency medical protocols ensuring the best emergency medical care is available for MARSOC using the training/sustainment program approved by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians and the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), etc. EMTs are intimately familiar with the TTPS associated with the high-risk training evolutions that are conducted on a daily basis and will remain fully engaged in supporting these as requirements generated from the operating forces evolve.

This position is located at NAVAL STATION NORFOLK. Candidates selected for this position will serve as a DEPLOYED RESILIENCY COUNSELOR SUPERVISOR.
Duties
Supervises up to ten (10) Tier III privileged DRCs working at the GS-12 level. In coordination with Command Leadership, organizes, sets, and monitors workflow; provides technical and administrative supervision; plans, assigns, and directs work through direct contact with staff members and regularly scheduled meetings; establishes performance standards for subordinate staff; periodically evaluates and conducts counseling sessions when necessary; approves and authorizes leave; recommends awards and disciplinary measures as appropriate; prepares documentation to support action taken; identifies employee developmental needs and provides or arranges for training (formal and on-the-Job) to maintain and improve job performance; encourages self-development; interviews and recommends candidates for vacant positions ensuring compliance with equal opportunity action plans; and ensures compliance with all safety and safety training policies and regulations.
Provides direct supervision/consultation and/or clinical oversight of clinical services, ensuring subordinate providers are in compliance with practice guidelines and remain within scope of practice while providing an acceptable standard of care.
Coordinates the preparation and timely entry of all required reports, data entry and clinical case notes.
Develops and implements an on-going system for promoting continuous quality improvement through work with key stakeholders, data analysis, needs assessments and surveys to set forth desired goals and measurable outcomes that are aligned with the mission objectives of the DRC program.
Develops organizational procedures that promote communication and harmonious working relationships among the staff to develop individual strengths and provide for effective accomplishment of the DRC mission.
Serves as the primary specialist and coordinator for the DRC unit covering topics such as economic, social, psychological, emotional, physical, and physiological needs; ensures required psycho-educational programs are conducted as outlined by instructions and client needs surveys.
Provides support to DRCs in development and delivery of a variety of psycho-educational workshops on core issues such as sexual assault prevention, suicide prevention, and various wellness and resiliency topics to include stress management, anger management, effective communication, parenting education, operational stress control, successful adaptation to military life, and child abuse or domestic abuse identification/prevention and interpersonal violence.
Networks and coordinates with Navy and civilian human service agencies to maintain current and relevant available services; ensures required services are provided when referrals are made, and provides information and assistance to such agencies when requested.
Acts as a resource for other staff to provide advice/assistance on services available to FFSC clientele.
Coordinates with the Sexual Assault Prevention Response program to evaluate victim assistance provided.
Maintains databases, case management systems, records and statistical data for required reports; establishes and maintains quality assurance review procedures for all counseling and advocacy programs in accordance with program requirements.
Assists DRCs with the accomplishment of personal logistics involved in deployment preparation, mid-deployment support, and sea-shore rotations.
Serves as Family Advocacy Representative (FAR) for the Incident Determination Committee (IDC) and Clinical Case Staffing Meetings (CCSM). Assists members with training and logistical needs and serves as a liaison between the Command and FAP for case coordination and service delivery needs. Coordinates with shore based case managers involved with tracking case assignments, caseload numbers, and timely case presentation to IDC and in Clinical Case Staffing Meetings (CCSM).
Conducts or participates in FAP trainings for senior leadership and key personnel, e.g., Command FAP Representatives, New Commanding Officers, and IDC members.
Communicates regularly with military leaders to coordinate DRC services both aboard ships and ashore.
Coordinates the delivery of DRC services to other Navy vessels and tenant commands located throughout Navy Region, Mid-Atlantic, as needed, e.g., temporary assignments to smaller ships/tenants, transiting to new duty stations/brief underway periods, mitigation for Fleet and Family Support Center clinical vacancies on CNRMA installations.
Develops and executes a plan to provide DRC services to the waterfront, and develops opportunities to educate and train Navy leaders about the DRC program.
Performs other duties as assigned.

A very successful and rapidly growing manufacturer of nonwoven filter media seeks a Plant and Operations Manager for one of their new plants located in the Lake County, IL area. The Plant Manager manages the daily activities of managers, production employees, support staff and administrative personnel. This includes approximately 5 employees, growing to 25-40 within two years. This position actively supports company policies, creates a safety conscientious environment, and actively supports all continuous improvement efforts in products and processes.
Requirements – three years of experience in a manufacturing facility – textile manufacturing experience is preferred – excellent interpersonal and communication skills – a proven track record – basic computer skills – leads through example - excellent problem solving skills. Mechanical aptitude a must.
Transferable & Trainable Military Experience / Aptitude highly desired and will be considered.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Supervise and direct departmental activities to ensure safety of personnel and practices, quality of work and profitability. Provide leadership to all plant and maintenance personnel.
Perform first-level reporting responsibilities to departmental personnel, including but not limited to scheduling project assignments and time off, completing and submitting personnel change forms and warning notices, and conducting training and performance evaluations. Apply policies to workforce.
Act as a liaison with other plants and departments; including scheduling, purchasing, quality control and technical services, maintenance, customer service, sales/marketing, human resources and accounting.
Prepare and submit reports, including budgets, material, waste, manpower, weekly operations, etc.
Develop new products and processes, or modify existing ones, or assist in development or modification in cooperation with technical services and quality control.
Audit plant activities to verify accuracy of shop orders and compliances/quality of product.
Coordinate physical inventories bi-annually or annually, monitor and report on raw stock inventory requirements and production.
Monitor production: review orders for accuracy, and take needed steps to prevent or solve production or quality problems. Ensure that raw materials/supplies are available for production and plant operations.
Encourage efficient utilization of equipment and facilities and maintenance thereof. Recognize and suggest changes in working conditions, use of equipment or products to increase efficiency, performance and quality of product.
Develop plans for efficient use of materials, equipment and personnel. Minimize waste and machine "down" time.
Attend scheduled meetings and coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth production and to achieve company goals.
Decision making occurs on frequent basis and is guided primarily by generally accepted principals of the field, moderate levels of situation analysis and interpretation of company policies and procedures
