Job Summary: The Research Associate performs research in support of the U.S. Army War College (USAWC) Research department by conducting archival research and current literature searches; performs specialized searches to provide written of oral synopses of the information available and suggests further searches.
Job Duties:
· Conducts derivative research and analysis
· Conducts searches using basic research methods and techniques (e.g. bibliographic surveys, specialized library research, historical document research, contacting U.S. government agencies and/or international agencies for information, etc.).
· Conducts initial review and editing of all draft reports and briefings and provides the IRP team leads with the review of written products produced by the IRP team members and the development of the IRP final reports and recommendations.
· Provides draft written reports, briefings, and other research-related products, as required.
· Coordinates with research partners and sponsors form within the U.S. Army, other DoD and U.S. Government organizations, and think-tanks.
· Works with the research derived from USAWC student-supported, faculty-led integrated Research Project Teams.
· Works with Data and Information used in the development of the research projects and/or publications related to international relations, U.S. security policy, national policy formulation, civil-military relations, defense policy, national military strategy, force management and theater-level or higher military operations.
Requirements
· Master degree in political science, history, public policy, national or international security studies, international relations, government, economics, or other fields related to national security.
· Demonstrated skill at presenting research and analysis in academic settings and/or to senior defense officials and military officers, including the ability to engage in specific research-based discussions and provide sound recommendations concerning U.S. military activities.
· Proficiency in English grammar, the teaching of academic writing, and familiarity with publishing as evidenced by publication (articles, book reviews, refereed manuscripts, etc.) and/or by publication successes by students or former students.
· Written and verbal communication skills, as demonstrated by examples of past writing samples, conference presentations, or lectures.
· Demonstrated knowledge of the organization of the Department of Defense, the Army Staff, Army major commands, Army Service Component Commands, and other consumers of USAWC strategic research and analysis. Such demonstrated knowledge would include previous employment, internship at a national -security related think tank or graduate-level research and publication that directly concerned the Department of Defense or the Department of the Army.

JOB PURPOSE:
The AF Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) weapon system is the Air Force’s primary ISR, Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (PED) system. AF DCGS provides actionable, multi-discipline intelligence derived from multiple Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms to Combatant Commands (COCOMs), Component Numbered Air Forces (C-NAF), and national command authorities across the globe, 24 hours per day, seven (7) days per week. Through distributed and collaborative operations, active duty, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve Center, joint and coalition units and personnel work as an integrated combat capability, enabling the Air Force to engage in multiple, simultaneous military operations across the globe. This position is in support of the 548 ISRG, Beale AFB, CA and is contingent upon award of a contract in October 2016.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Plan ISR missions in support of the assigned mission of the supported organization.
· Complete training requirements and maintain currency and Mission Ready (MR) status within the guidelines of AFI 14-153 Volume 1 (AF DCGS Training Program) and AFI 14-153 Volume 2 (AF DCGS Standardization and Evaluation) as applicable for the assigned crew position.
· Perform shift work in support of AF DCGS weapons system 24/7 operations.

· Create PRISM (Planning Tool for Resource Integration, Synchronization and Management) nominations to ensure COCOM collection managers with visibility on adhoc taskings, thus enabling ISR utilization/effectiveness studies.

4. Huey II Senior Maintenance Advisor / Team Chief - OCONUS
Special Applications Group is seeking an experienced Huey II Senior Maintenance Advisor / Team Chief for a pre-award effort in support of US Government Security Assistance initiatives Outside Continental United States (OCONUS). The Senior Maintenance Advisor will train and evaluate foreign helicopter maintenance personnel in organizational level maintenance. During the 11-week deployment period serves as the Team Chief of a four-instructor Aviation Maintenance Technical Assistance Field Team (TAFT); and the Senior Maintenance Advisor. Advises and assists foreign maintenance personnel on organizational level helicopter maintenance procedures and Standing Operations Procedures (SOP) development.
REQUIREMENTS
· Former U.S. Army Aviation Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 15 series, or other military service equivalent, Non-Commissioned Officer.
· Previous experience as a Maintenance Platoon Sergeant or similar aviation maintenance leadership position.
· Previously qualified Huey II or UH-1H helicopter Technical Inspector.
· No less than thirty-six (36) months supervisory experience on the Huey II or UH-1H helicopter.

5. Huey II Pilot Ground School Instructor-Advisor - OCONUS
Special Applications Group is seeking a Huey II Pilot Ground School Instructor-Advisor for a pre-award effort in support of US Government Security Assistance initiatives Outside Continental United States (OCONUS). Description
Telum will perform studies and analysis for operational programs, intelligence analysis, command training, program management, engineering, financial/budgeting, logistics, administrative, contract support, security management, and resource requirements analysis. This support will be provided to Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC) and affiliated component units, governmental organizations and partner nation forces supporting the Special Operations Forces missions.
In this role, successful candidates will conduct moderately complex research and assessment of management practices, business goals, objectives and needs to align management practices and procedures with business initiatives. Candidate will act as a subject matter expert on smaller scale management restructuring initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
• Provides historical data analysis of command’s operations, activities, actions (OAA)
• Creates assessment survey mechanisms
• Conducts assessment survey data pulls as required
• Develops assessments team overview and methodology briefings to command’s workshops, seminars, team rotations, and training events as required
SOCPAC SPECIFIC:
• Must be a US citizen, possess a final Top Secret clearance based on a current in-scope background investigation, and be SCI eligible
• Must have at least a BS degree in a mathematics or computer science-related field of study; An MS/MA is highly desired
• Must have at least 4 years of national security experience equivalence
• Minimum of 2 years practical experience in analytical/quantitative assessment methodology and database systems
• Must be familiar with special operations forces employment and doctrine, as well as the USPACOM AOR.

These positions are best suited for retiring or recently separating U.S. Army Special Forces/ 75th Ranger Regiment/ SMU/ SEAL/ MARSOC/ Senior NCOs (E-8/E-9) who are broadly-gauged experts and have expertise in specialized military tactics, techniques and procedures, Counter Terrorism tactics, and other SOF skill sets typically associated with countering transnational threats to the security of the United States.
The JET Member will typically deploy 1-2 times a year OCONUS for 4 months at a time, with additional sporadic CONUS pre-deployment training.

The Flight Medic shall be utilized to provide flight medical support for assigned program, along with other duties as determined by the primary medical providers (physicians, nurse practitioners and Physician Assistants) that do not exceed the scope of practice. Will be supervised clinically by primary medical provider(s).

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE:
•High School diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
•Completed an approved Paramedic course.
•Hold and maintain a current unrestricted U.S. (State) Paramedic license; Certification by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) desirable
•Completion of Critical Care Emergency Medical Technician Program (CCEMT-P) course and certification desirable.
•Completion of Critical Care Paramedic, Flight Paramedic, or equivalent course desirable.
•A minimum of 7 years’ experience is required, with both clinical and EMT/Paramedic field experience.

Will liaise with DoD agencies and units specializing in all aspects of electronic warfare mission planning, execution and training in support of all combatant commanders. The liaison will be located in Barksdale, LA.
• Conduct targeting for non-kinetic systems. Targeting applies to targets, which are areas, complexes, installations, forces, equipment, capabilities, functions, individuals, groups, systems, or behaviors identified for possible action to support the commander’s objectives, guidance and intent.
• Target specific centers of gravity (COG) and high-value targets (HVT) that if struck with specific non-kinetic weapon types in a systematic manner, will create the desired effects and support accomplishment of the commander’s objectives.
• Conduct target development for non-kinetic weapons, force application, execution planning and combat assessment.
• Provide liaison between geographic COCOMs, DoD units and agencies, other government agencies.
• Conduct electronic warfare mission planning and integration in accordance with processes and USAF/USN/USMC/USA tactics, techniques, and procedures for approximately ten exercises/experiments/studies/tests per year.
• Assist in the development and conduct planning and integration of future standoff munition weapon systems.
• Participate in DT&E and OT&E as electronic warfare mission planning system and application SME.
• Ability to plan, organize and teach electronic warfare mission planning and employment practices. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiating complex issues and maintaining good working relationships.
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Technical, Engineering, or Computer Information Systems related degree required or equivalent related military work experience (United States Air Force [USAF], United States Navy [USN] or United States Marine Corp [USMC]).
• At least one year of specialized experience, including expert knowledge of electronic warfare operation, testing, training principles, concepts, directives, practices, tactics, and techniques.
• Participation in AOC and combatant command exercises or operations. Real world contingency experience is highly desired.
• Experience supporting AOC operations within classified environments to include SIPRNet and JWICS.
• Demonstrated proficiency using unclassified Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet) and classified SIPRNet network enterprise environments
• Demonstrated mastery of combat air force principles, concepts, directives, practices, analytical methods and techniques and seasoned consultative skill sufficient to resolve internal problems not susceptible to treatment by standard methods. Typical problems addressed are beyond normal day-to-day route processes and procedures.
• Demonstrated expert knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for assessment and improvement of DoD electronic warfare operations.
• Knowledge of overall performance factors for electronic warfare platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of the various Command entities involved in overall planning and execution of joint operations and evaluations. Knowledge of training and instructional methods to teach mission planning and mission planning software.
• Ability to plan, organize, and negotiate effectively with senior analysts and management to accept and implement recommendations, where proposals involve substantial resources and require extensive changes in established concepts and procedures.
