Roush has an immediate opening for a Material Planning & Logistics (MP&L) Lead/Change Control individual that will lead production scheduling as well as manage, monitor and coordinate change control orders (CCOs). This position will utilize PeopleSoft ERP Planning to create and run planning instances to backup all buy-and-make activities to meet customer delivery requirements. This position owns coordinating material requirements with purchasing and other manufacturing operations. In addition, this role will be responsible for opening, closing and analyzing PIDs, reporting, production variance research, and verification of virtual and physical material flow. The MP&L Lead owns optimizing batches, stocking levels, error monitoring, auditing production completion, and material depletion. This position is located in Livonia, MI. Responsibilities • Create and maintain production schedule including entering demand, where applicable, in the form of sales orders, forecasts, or direct production orders, using the PeopleSoft ERP system. • Coordinate with production to establish manpower and resource requirements visibility and production capacity thresholds. • Resolve material violations and release feasible production plans. • Create production documents (PID) and follow through the production process. • Analyze production process with operations, manufacturing engineering, and other cross-functional groups to optimize schedule and material flow. • Participate/run production and CCO meetings, report on shortages/violations issues and any other issues that impact the plan and work cross-functionally to resolve and maintain the schedule and update staff about upcoming changes. • Release or coordinate with purchasing to release material requirements necessary to support production and coordinate with purchasing to track material from supplier to shop floor. • Effectively manage material and production requirement changes resulting from engineering change notifications. • Generate and distribute pick batches to supply production with materials. • Coordinate with warehouse department, when necessary, to effectively manage material requirements of production: o Run pick batches for production material requirements from warehouse. o Analyze shortages of pick batch and assess impact to production, as well as appropriate action. o Monitor status of pick completion to ensure on-time delivery of production material. • Identify potential shortages and work with appropriate departments to resolve as well as work with all departments to coordinate and ensure efficient implementation and closure of all change control orders. • Manage running changes to maximize efficiency when exhausting products. • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
