Host Based Security System (HBSS) Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Motivated company anticipates a need, based on contract award, for two (2) Host Based Security System (HBSS) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support the entire CJOA with a wide variety of Network Operations (NETOPS) functions.
Position Overview
SMEs will provide IT support to provide Intra Combined Joint operational Area (CJOA) Domain Network Defense (Host Based Security Management, Enterprise Anti Virus Management, Unauthorized Application and Rouge System Detection) to immediately conduct monitoring of network traffic within the Combined/Joint Operations - Afghanistan (CJOA-A) for malicious content and safeguard against network threats.
SMEs will allow HBSS expertise to reside immediately within the JNCC-A which will provide USFOR-A the capability of staying one step ahead of fast-moving attacks that use multiple vectors to bypass security and compromise network integrity.
SMEs will allow the JNCC-A to begin critical oversight and monitoring of network traffic utilizing the following McAfee products: ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), Host Intrusion Prevention Systems (HIPS), Antivirus (AV), Policy Auditor (PA), Asset Baseline Module (ABM) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) installation, operation and maintenance support. The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and United States Central Command (CENTCOM) will soon field the above mentioned McAfee products throughout the CJOA-A.
(Task) Net Defense HBSS Security Engineer
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree
Specialized Certification: Requires McAfee certification. CISSP certification is highly desirable.
Specialized Experience: At least 8 years experience in Information Technology. Expert level experience in installing, configuring, and administering McAfee products. Experience in the information and data security fields are highly desirable.

SPECIFIC TASK DESCRIPTION
Net Defense Host Based Security System (HBSS) Security Engineer
SMEs will be responsible for Theater Architecture, Management, and execution of all host based Information Assurance and Computer Network Defense Controls, as part of the DISA lead SCRI.
Day to day Responsibilities include working with McAfee technology products that comprise DISA's HBSS program: ePO, HIPS, PA and RSD. Specific and in-depth knowledge on ePO 4.0, HIPS 7.0, PA 5.1 and RSD 2.0.
Develop and create system architectures for Army enclaves taking into account number of nodes and number of active HBSS modules.
Design and Define Logical and Physical Views.
Provide Use Case/Structure for go forward design planning.
Able to complete solution development utilizing lab resources provided by US Army.
Contribute to solution documentation.
Lead development of problem resolution and process management for defect remediation of critical issues, as well as guidance, as required; interact with McAfee R&D, on-site Consultants and customer contacts to ensure timely resolution.
Liaison with end customers to understand the specifics of their unique environment to ensure solution architecture applicability and preempt as many issues as possible.
SMEs are responsible for performing the following tasks but are not limited to planning, controlling, overseeing and conducting successful installation; development and/or conduct of knowledge transfer; acceptance testing; policy tuning and troubleshooting; ongoing systems administration, documentation, and maintenance support of DISA/CENTCOM procured systems.
SMEs will performance the following specific tasks in conjunction with those listed above:
• Provide Engineering Leadership and Support
• Review and assist development of best practices
• Provide best practices around basic troubleshooting
• Review security policies and business process documents to ensure implementation is in accordance with the business practices.
SMEs will be responsible for providing daily, weekly, and monthly written assessments/reports regarding:
• Conduct network security assessments.
• Perform routine security monitoring and reporting appliances; leading and analyzing security reporting.
• Prepare and submit all recommended changes in security regulations, best practices, countermeasures, compliance, and threats.
• Prepare technical designs as well as high-level flowcharts and schematics.
• Providing daily, weekly, and monthly written assessments/reports regarding
actions taken to resolve all network issues.
All positions are required to work a total of 60 hours per week. All positions are on call during non active work hours, 24/7, for emergency operational support as required by JNCC-A.

The JSEAS effort is a joint venture among the US Navy, US Air Force, and UK Ministry of Defense to develop safe escape and mission planning products for the JSF aircraft.
The JSEAS Software Developer will perform a variety of software development and maintenance activities for the Joint Safe Escape Analysis Solution (JSEAS) program. The focus for this position will be the design, development, unit test, and documentation of object oriented software sub-systems.
The Developer will apply documented project processes and tools to ensure that quality standards for development and configuration management are applied to the JSEAS software development effort. Documentation of the intermediate steps and products will be critical and the Developer will fully participate in preparation of support documentation including design specs, change request notes, action items, defect analysis, alternative analysis, unit level tests, and others.

Engineer supporting the KLXS contract serve as technical expert for the development, implementation, management, and support of Spacecraft Handling. Experience level: 4-10 years
This position is in support of NASA's Constellation Program and will be directly supporting the KSC Ground Operations Project Office. The successful candidate will support NASA in ground operations processing of Altair Lunar Lander spacecraft from Post-DD250 to launch. NASA will process Altair in an offline spacecraft facility including crew equipment checkout, high pressure gas and propellant servicing and Multiple Element Integrated Testing. Upon completion of these activities, NASA will encapsulate the Altair spacecraft in a payload fairing and mate the Altair spacecraft to Ares V. After an abbreviated integrated test between Earth Departure Stage and Altair spacecraft, the Ares V integrated stack will move to Pad 39B for launch and rendezvous with the Orion spacecraft.
This is considered a journeyman level engineering position. Responsibilities may include designing and developing plans, processes, procedures, functional and data requirements analysis, system analysis, and documentation preparation for complex systems. May be required to provide guidance to less experienced engineers. Engineering disciplines that may map into this SLC include mechanical, electrical, aerospace, propulsion, industrial, chemical, materials, computer, environmental, structures, thermal, safety, software, systems, handling, assembly, transportation of spacecraft and quality.
Frequently interacts with customers and/or other team members. Interaction requires the ability to gain cooperation of others conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects.
