Description:

Specific Job Description. The selected candidate will work as a team member in the group for laboratory development on various high fidelity lab/aircraft projects. The specific near-term assignment will most likely the development of high fidelity sensor avionics ( IR, EO, radar, IRSTS, RWR, MLD, and electronic counter measures ) as well as ground early warning sensors ( EWS ) and Surface to Air Missile (SAM) target tracking radars. Candidate will participate in the software development of high fidelity, multi-ship, man-in-the-loop fighter simulations.

The successful candidate can expect to participate in the design, development and integration of fighter aircraft sensor systems for real-time, man-in-the-loop simulations. This software models will be developed in either C++ and/or ADA, depending upon overall system application.

In general, a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred for this position. However, other technical disciplines (Physics, Math, Aero, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science) will be considered along with relevant work experience for applicability to this position.

Prior use of C/C++ or ADA software languages is required as well as direct experience with real-time software systems and environments.

Requires operational plan developments, updates, inventory control of government furnished equipment, replenishment through government process of GFE, as well as review, assessments and updates/maintenance of all types of Headquarters Plans (i.e. operational incident management plans and continuity plans).

• Exercise Development & Maintenance: Requires writing of documentation, processes and procedures and participation in designated exercise activities. Also may require the contractor to develop the scenarios/injects of an exercise as defined by the Government.
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive training and exercise capability. This broad-based capability will be designed to support staff from the most senior levels to the working-level emergency staff. It will address policy, plans, procedures and concepts contained in plans and supporting documents.
2. The contractor shall assist in maintaining a COOP Test, Training, and Exercise (TT&E) program in accordance with the COOP TT&E Program Strategy. This program includes developing training and orientation materials; scheduling and preparing materials for orientation, awareness and training activities (workshops, exercises, seminars, briefings, etc.); and assisting in the actual conduct of the exercise and training activities, which include controller, evaluator, and “after-action” program functions. • COOP Emergency Operations Support: During a national security emergency, or any other incident that disrupts mission essential functions and results in the execution of the HQ COOP plan, existing staffing levels will be insufficient to support an extended 24-by-7 activation of all designated emergency sites and coordination centers with personnel familiar with the missions, functions, and COOP plans. Should such a catastrophic disruption occur contractor support may be required in one or more of the following areas:

o HQ COOP team alert, notification, activation, and deployment.
o HQ continuity site setup, activation, and operations.
o Coordinating the operations of HQ COOP teams at their deployed location(s).
