This lab technician position is in the advanced development team which is responsible for investigating new technologies/subsystems and implementing prototypes to explore new product ideas. A successful candidate will have experience as a lab technician and have experience working with electronics-based telecom/datacom or computer equipment.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of a 2-year Associate Degree in EET (or similar).

The supply technician receives, examines, and issues expendable and non-expendable items.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (duties and responsibilities and percentage of time spent performing functions).
Check receipts for accuracy and verify quantity of individual items in each incoming shipment against the package counts indicated on delivery tickets. Report all discrepancies found upon opening of packages to warehouse manager. Coordinate and conduct the turn in of excess equipment to the Defense Reutilization Marketing Office (DRMO) monthly. Load and unload furniture and other government property, equipment, and supplies from trucks at loading platform using required material handling equipment (MHE), to include but not limited to pallet jacks, carts, forklift, etc. Pack and unpack cases, cartons, and crates. Handle incoming and outgoing shipments for various types of laboratory material and equipment, to include packages transported to and from IRAQ.

Assist the Chief of Logistics/ Property Book Officer, Equipment Managers, and Biomedical Technicians in the performance of maintaining property accountability, medical supply operations, and administrative functions. Maintain accountability documentation for property and medical supply management utilizing the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) System. Perform supply functions related to logistics, to include purchasing a variety of products to assist scientists and support staff. Assist with the shipping and receiving accounts (FedEx, DHL, UPS, etc.) for the Logistics Division. Assist with clothing records and related functions. Assist with the Quality control register for all messages received and disseminates the messages within the organization, as required. Provides customer support to the staff and establishes effective working relationships. The Supply Technician must maintain the equipment assigned to them by the Institute for the completion of assigned tasks.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for performing the following tasks:
• Perform internal audits on procedures and evaluate their effectiveness. Review the current policies and improvise plans to improve upon the existing quality standards
• Review existing business processes to identify inefficiencies in processing and potential weaknesses that may cause inaccurate processing
• Prepare organization for ISO 9001 audit.
• Assist the management team and provide QA support, as necessary
• Understand the processes in the company and then establish a rapport with the staff to get the inside knowledge of the various processes involved and how they work
• Exercise good judgment in determining whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.

PURPOSE OF JOB
Serves as primary financial advisor providing individualized solutions in an effort to preserve and deepen USAA's high net worth members. Conducts comprehensive reviews to include asset allocation, retirement strategies, risk management, preservation of wealth, accumulation and wealth transfer strategies. Develops advocacy based relationships and provides comprehensive financial planning and consultations utilizing various channels including telephone, email, and face-to-face.

JOB DUTIES
• Applies advanced knowledge of financial products, services, and strategies to provide proactive holistic advice and financial planning regarding complex financial issues impacting the affluent market. Develops rapport with diverse range of personalities and effectively incorporates needs based selling techniques.
• Conducts comprehensive reviews to analyze financial data and provide recommendations for modifications based on member's risk tolerance, goals, objectives and individual preferences. Provides comprehensive financial planning and consultations.
• Maintains knowledge of competitive landscape and effectively communicates the value of USAA's Wealth Management offerings and how it fits into each member's financial strategy and life planning goals.
• Responsible for managing Trust agency and discretionary managed money account relationships.
• Creates and delivers sales presentations to members and prospects over the phone or face-to-face. Attends and/or presents at seminars and special events catering to the affluent market.

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience).
• Six or more years of financial services experience.
• Experience in dealing with high net worth members.
• FINRA Series 7 and 66(or 63 and 65).
• Life/Health license.
• Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner.
• Certified Wealth Strategist (CWS) designation within specified timeframe.
• Expert knowledge of financial products and services for affluent market.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION

Incumbent serves as Executive Bodyguard for the Chief of Mission. Protects the Chief of Mission (COM) port-to-portal from the threat of terrorism or other acts of violence. While with the COM, the bodyguard will take extraordinary and/or special security precautions to insure the personal safety of the COM. The bodyguard will assist in the selection of safe routes and remain alert for danger of the COM.

DEFINITIONS


1. US Citizen Eligible Family Member (USEFM) – For purposes of receiving a preference in hiring for a qualified position, an EFM who meets the following criteria:

A MOH is under COM authority and may include a parent, unmarried partner, other relative or adult child who falls outside the Department’s current legal and statutory definition of family member. A MOH does not have to be a US Citizen.

4. Not Ordinarily Resident (NOR) – An individual who:


Is not a citizen of the host country; and,
Does not ordinarily reside (OR, see below) in the host country; and,
Is not subject to host country employment and tax laws; and,
Has a US Social Security Number (SSN).

NOR employees are compensated under a GS or FS salary schedule, not under the LCP.

5. Ordinarily Resident (OR) – A Foreign National or US citizen who:


Is locally resident; and,
Has legal, permanent resident status within the host country; and,
Is subject to host country employment and tax laws.

Recommended qualifications for the network engineer are as follows:

• Four-year degree in engineering (electrical, electronics, telecommunications, or computer) (Note: Direct experience of 10-15 years may substitute for a degree with at least 7 years recent experience.)
• Master Degree is highly desired but not required
• At least 7 years recent experience in designing, maintaining, integrating and engineering network solutions—at least 2 years should include wireless networks
• Certifications highly desirable (Ex: Microsoft Certified Engineer)
• Working knowledge of current operating systems, e-mail systems, standard network services and protocols, systems software, automated tools, directory services, transmission media, and all other components comprising network architectures
• Familiarity with emerging technologies such a Voice over IP, virtual private networks, personal digital assistants (PDAs) and wireless solutions
• Familiarity with the newly designed MAJCOM Communications Control Center (MCCC) infrastructure (formerly the Network Operations Security Center) including roles and responsibilities of each function is desired but not required
• Familiarity with the Air Force NOSC and Network Control Center (NCC) infrastructure and roles and responsibilities of each function
• Familiarity with the CITS program
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with personnel at all levels (to include technicians and managers)
