As our Materials Manager, your primary mission will be to lead and develop the materials team in the areas of inventory management, planning, purchasing and supply base management. We are unique from most companies in that all manufacturing is done on-site. As a hands-on leader, you are responsible for the effective development of a team of 10 dedicated people in purchasing, planning and materials control. You will also regularly interface with the design team and manufacturing team to bring new product releases and frequent design changes to fruition.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
1. Effective leadership and development of the materials team.
2. Leadership of the material, planning and inventory control functions.
3. Effective interface with Engineering and Manufacturing to insure smooth product launch and on-going manufacturing.
4. Effective interface with Materials Project Manager to development and implement systems through focused project activity that improve efficiency and reduce inventory levels.

8. Focusing the team performance toward on-time delivery, lead-time reduction, inventory turns growth and new product introductions as well as tracking and resolving materials related issues.
9. Leadership in materials review board meetings and making effective decisions on material dispositions.
The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
1. At least 10 years of recent direct people management experience
2. Knowledge or training in Lean Manufacturing with a particular focus on Materials
3. At least 5 years of hands on experience utilizing an MRP System
4. Recent experience as a member or leader of an MRP implementation team
