The Threat Reduction Strategies Division of the Analysis, Simulations, Systems Engineering and Training business unit at SAIC has an immediate opening. This is an on-site position located at Barksdale AFB, LA.
1. This National Security Policy Analyst is to provide on-site support to the Air Force Global Strike Command at Barksdale Air Force Base, LA. AFGSC is a new Air Force Major Command that is consolidating nuclear operations under a single organization. Position will require an understanding of both U.S. Air Force policy and planning processes. The analyst will provide technical and analytical assistance on the impact of specific arms control agreements, i.e., Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), Open Skies Treaty, Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START)/Strategic Offensive Reductions Treaty (SORT), and any START/SORT follow-on agreements. The analyst will assist with formulating command guidance, policies and procedures supporting international arms control treaties and ensuring AFGSC unit readiness. Will also assist with developing command guidance regarding counter-proliferation policies and implementing those policies.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in political science, national security or related field. Master’s Degree desired.

Must currently possess a SECRET clearance.

DESIRED SKILLS:

Previous staff experience working on a large military staff in the Department of Defense or at a USAF Major Command headquarters. Knowledge of, and experience with, arms control treaty obligations and compliance activities and/or nuclear operations (missile or aircrew) is a plus. Position involves a range of execution, implementation, staffing, research, and analysis activities, as well as significant client interaction. Experience with AF staffing process and developing AF guidance would be beneficial and strong staffing skills a plus. Desired Skills / Experience • Should have instructor experience, specifically teaching NSA reporting courses. This individual will be expected to assist with the instruction of reporting classes for NSAG's GALAXY program.
• Experience with multimedia and desktop publishing would be a huge plus as we begin transitioning to IGRAM publishing.
Specific Requirements • Specific experience and knowledge is required in the areas of US SIGINT system, specifically working knowledge within the area of Homeland Security, the US Fusion Centers, their roles and responsibilities.
• This individual will be required to be an experienced reporter/analyst/trainer with a wide range of reporting and policy knowledge. He/she will work within the NSAG S12 Information Sharing Division located at NSA Georgia.
• Must have an in-depth knowledge of NSA reporting policy and standards, particularly USSIDs CR1400, CR1423 and SPOO18, The manual of Authorized Recipients SIGINT Product, the SIGINT product distributions, the SIGINT reporter's style and usage manual, the GPO style manual, and all relevant reporting guidance.
• Must be able to answer questions on a wide range of reporting topics accurately and tactfully via telephone and email. Users will normally require immediate or near-immediate responses.
• Must have good working knowledge of content preparation environment (CPE) and able to diagnose user problems. This will often require teaming with CPE experts at NSAW.
• Must have experience with the CRITIC program. This individual will assist with the NSAG CRITIC testing and training program.
• Must have knowledge of the Post Publication process. Will be required to assist with processing post-pub requests and maintain a post-pub tracking database. This will include frequent telephone and email contact with NSAG analysts and our customers. Must be familiar with the National SIGINT Requirements Process (NSRP), particularly as it relates to Information Needs (IN) for NSAG targets.

FGS11 Customer Outreach Rep Job Duties/Expectations:
1. Maintain and update NSAG and NSAG SID Station Briefing using MS PowerPoint. Briefing includes text, photographs, embedded video clips. Work with internal organizations to ensure information on slides is kept current.
2. Assist with preparing and presenting the NSAG Station Briefing to SID visitors, normally 1-2 times per week. Become familiar and maintain current knowledge of NSAG missions, organizations, and mission successes by interacting and building relationships with NSAG offices and attending scheduled and ad hoc briefings as appropriate. Work as a team with other NSAG station briefers. Train additional briefers within NSAG workforce as needed.
3. Assist NSAG SID visit Coordinator with coordinating and planning for visitors to NSAG, e.g. contacting visitors/customers (via telephone and or email) prior to actual visit, preparing agendas, greeting and escorting visitors.
4. Liaise and coordinate internally with NSAG organizations to support FGS1 and FGS11 missions, specifically internal/external customer liaison and support to site visitors.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have specific desired experience and personal characteristics including:
o US Citizenship required

o Ability to travel 50-75% domestically and, from time to time, internationally
o Ability to think strategically and formulate business strategy; formal experience with corporate strategic planning helpful
o Proven record of successfully growing a business with expanded customers and markets
o Demonstrated experience winning multi-million dollar contracts
o Ability to determine, through experience and professional insight, good business opportunities

The Network Infrastructure Technician will be the SME for installation and simple designating of any and all commercial or tactical communications. The Network Infrastructure Technician will work with the Projects Officers, the Task Force S6, the COR, or any designee of the Task Force S6 while installing or doing simple designing of commercial and/or tactical communications throughout the Task Force AOR. This support includes but is not limited to participation in planning and execution of immediate and long-term projects, network expansion and integration with other networks throughout the Task Force AOR. The Network Infrastructure Technician will support the installation and maintenance of wiring, including, but not limited to copper (network and telephony), coax cabling and fiber optic cabling inside of the Task Force buildings and outside wiring plant between the Task Force buildings within the TCF's/CPN/s. The Network Infrastructure Technician will make all additions, moves, and changes for SIPR, NIPR, CENTRIXS, all associated voice and other communication related wiring deemed necessary. For some of this work the Network Infrastructure Technician will be required to work and/or coordinate with other military and civilian Agencies or groups to contribute to the successful completion of larger tasks.

Required Qualifications:
-Associates degree in an IT related field
-Minimum of 3 years of experience with network infrastructure

The Network Infrastructure Technician must have an extensive background in commercial wiring, to include copper, fiber, and coax. The Network infrastructure Technician must possess knowledge of standard color codes for said cabling. The Network Infrastructure Technician must know how to pull, terminate, and patch said cabling. This will include, but not limited to, inside and outside types of cable. The Network Infrastructure Technician will have extensive knowledge in direct burial cable and manhole and ducting systems and have a working knowledge of Installation, Information, Infrastructure Modernization Program (13MP) standards. The Network Infrastructure Installer will be able to understand in a very short period of time the entire Bagram Air Field's IT/Communication infrastructure as to incorporate a "big picture" view on impacts and repercussions of planned projects.

Position Description:
Participates in a development program that, upon successful completion, results in assignment as a Control Room Supervisor. The program includes developing supervisory critical skills in instruction, observation and facilitative critiquing. It also includes completing the existing Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) training program, successfully passing the NRC SRO license exam and completing the Control Room Supervisor Training program.

The program also includes the following requirements:
1) Relevant experience and training for the Control Room Supervisor - Trainee to develop skills in planning, organizing, directing and controlling shift operations.
2) Developing up-to-date knowledge of allowed plant operation conditions and limitations established by technical specifications and the plant operating license.
3) Practice working as a Control Room Supervisor under instruction and function in a supervisory capacity when assigned.

A Control Room Supervisor - Trainee must make satisfactory progress in preparation for passing the NRC SRO exam and program completion. Promotion to Control Room Supervisor is contingent upon recommendation from the Duty Shift Superintendent, based upon demonstrated competency in the position once licensed. A Control Room Supervisor is the first line supervisor in the Operations group at Point Beach Nuclear Plant. The Operations group will periodically assign a Control Room Supervisor to the Training group on a rotational assignment. This practice may eventually include other groups such as Engineering and Maintenance. Operations group management will make Control Room Supervisor and Control Room Supervisor - Trainee assignments based upon PBNP needs. Operations group management will also assign the Control Room Supervisor - Trainee to the training group while the program is being completed. The Operations Training Coordinator will direct and supervise the Control Room Supervisor - Trainee in the completion of the program.


Position Requires:
Supervisor - Trainee should have four years of responsible power plant experience of which a minimum of two years shall be nuclear plant experience and have at least six months of responsible Point Beach specific power plant experience prior to entering the training program. Alternately, candidates for the position of Control Room Supervisor Trainee should have two or more years in a position equivalent to Reactor Control Operator at military reactor and qualified to manipulate or direct the manipulation of control rods (Propulsion Plant Watch Officer, Engineering Watch Supervisor, Reactor Operator, Engineering Officer of the Watch, Propulsion Plant Watch Supervisor).

22. Toolmarks Examiner (Northern VA and deployed)
SAIC (www.saic.com) is seeking Toolmarks Examiners to support Combined Joint Task Force Paladin for the DoD Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO). This position requires staff to be self-reliant; versatile; comfortable working in a military expeditionary environment; diplomatic; and effective communicators. This position involves 6-month deployment rotations in Afghanistan in a Combined Explosives Exploitation Cell (CEXC).

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Discover and characterize toolmarks on IED components for analysis on manufacturing.
• Identify materials and machinery and tools used to fabricate devices and components.
• Categorize characteristics of the IED manufacturing process and signature.
• Microscopically examine items for milling and strike marks.
• Identify unique, tool-specific markings on items.
• Provide data to assist in profiling and signature analysis.
• Produce storyboards and technical reports on data.
• Transition next-tour replacement personnel on SOP.

MIMIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree, or High-School diploma and 2 year’s experience in a manufacturing or machining shop.
• Physical ability and commitment to deploy to Afghanistan as a CEXC team member for a period of no longer than 180 days, working 12-hour days 7-days a week.
• Familiarity with ATTAC, CIDNE, WTI Lexicon and SIPRNET.
• U.S. citizenship with the eligibility to obtain and maintain DOD Secret security clearance.

HIGHLY DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience as tool marks examiner for forensic analysis in military/civilian law enforcement.
• Experience working in a CEXC, WIT, C-IED Team, DTK Lab, JEFF, TEDAC facility, or other NGIC, DIA or ATF Lab; interagency or state/ local law enforcement lab.
• Prior U.S. Military experience.

This position requires staff to be self-reliant; versatile; comfortable working in a military expeditionary environment; diplomatic; and effective communicators. • Deduce and develop possible origins of the trace materials.

• Transition next-tour replacement personnel on SOP.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science with at least 2 year’s related experience.
• Physical ability and commitment to deploy to Afghanistan as a CEXC team member for a period of no longer than 180 days, working 12-hour days 7-days a week.
• Familiarity with ATTAC, CIDNE, WTI Lexicon and SIPRNET.
• U.S. citizenship with the eligibility to obtain and maintain DOD Secret security clearance.
