Position: 1. Exercise/Wargame Event Lead Date 1 March 2010

Position Description Event Lead to provide life-cycle leadership and management of an Exercise or Wargame event. Events range from complex fully distributed and federated COCOM Exercises to relatively simple unclassified BMDS Demonstrations. Position is on the JRDC program at Schriever AFB, CO. An Event Lead is responsible for the entire event life-cycle, which includes planning and stakeholder coordination; Engineering, Integration and Test (EIT); Event Execution; and Data Collection, Analysis and Reporting (DCAR). Events range from complex distributed and federated COCOM Exercises, to relatively simple unclassified BMDS Demonstrations. Stakeholders may include CJCS, COCOMs, MDA 2ltrs, and below element units. There are also a wide range of event participants; which can include; senior policy makers, general/flag officers, foreign Ambassadors, members of Congress and the press corps. Most events are engineered to include hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and operator-in-the-loop (OITL) participation; and may include multiple simulations and elements. War games may include developmental missile defense system elements in the loop, employing projected capabilities through models and simulations. Exercise / Wargame Event Leads are assigned to tasks defined in a Technical Requirement Directive (TRD) and reports to the TRD Lead. Plans, budgets, coordinates, and oversees multiple, concurrent team activities, featuring dynamic requirements, aggressive schedules, and multiple stakeholder interfaces. Identifies risks, develops mitigating strategies, and coordinates strategy implementation, work-arounds, and requirements tradeoffs with JRDC, MDIOC, and stakeholder leadership. Assigns and mentors individual team members, effectively delegating accountability for the schedule, and technical performance of specific activities (Engineering, Data Collection, Analysis, etc). Collaborates effectively with a broad spectrum of MDIOC/JRDC stakeholders to integrate capabilities as required into increasingly complex and sophisticated wargame configurations.
Desired Skills / Experience • Familiar with military doctrine and operations, including joint and combined force operations.
• Experience with human-in-the-loop, real-time simulation federations with real-world and developmental elements-in-the-loop.
• Experience in applying EVMS and SEI CMMI Level 2 and Level 3 criteria to dynamic programs or projects.
Specific Requirements • BS with 8+ years of relevant BMDS experience.
• Knowledge of missile defense doctrine, concepts of operation (CONOPS), tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and Integrated Missile Defense (IMD) system architectures.
• Must understand stakeholder objectives and design/development of exercise or wargame architectures enabling quantitative and qualitative assessment of those objectives, as well as meeting the BMDS training and BMDS socialization objectives associated with warfighter and acquisition participation in the event.
• Familiarity with US COCOMs (PACOM, EUCOM, CENTCOM, NORTHCOM STRATCOM, USNORTHCOM and JFCC-IMD.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication and presentation skills.
Clearance Requirements Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SSBI if required.

JOB DUTIES:
Performs simulator training to deliver and conduct high performance combat aircraft specific instruction and support using current tactics and employment standards in the Mission Training Center. Participates and interfaces with military staff and operations level combat aircraft customers.

JOB SKILLS:
Must have previous experience as instructor in F-15s or F-16s or F-22 aircrafts with 500 hours currency in last 5 years.
Hourly pay: $37.78/hr
Per Diem will be available for those who are 75 miles or more away from the work location.

Position Description Travel to various work locations around the world is required. Candidate will utilize extensive systems architecture experience to design future systems designed to keep the Shared Early Warning System (SEWS) relevant. Provide systems engineering support for development of SEWS systems. Monitor and analyze trends, policies, operations and technology evolution and provide input to SEWS strategic planning and risk analysis/mitigation process. Assist program office and other government agencies in the continual development, review and updating of SEWS Interface Control Documents (ICDs). Candidate will provide systems engineering support for SEWS operational systems to include integration with Global Command & Control System (GCCS), Radiant Mercury for SEWS, TRS/MATT radios and participation in various working groups and COCOM health checks to ensure correct implementation of SEWS systems.

• The candidate must have an extensive missile warning background in IBS-S, IBS-I, radio suites (TRS and MATT), SIBRS, DSP, and be able to utilize this background to solve varied and complex problems across multiple computer platforms, communication and cryptographic methodologies.
• Candidate must possess a complete understanding of networks, radio frequency communication, serial communication (RS-232, 530, etc) and be able to flawlessly integrate these different communication methods.
• Candidate must meet minimum certification requirements for DoD Directive 8570, “Information Assurance Training, Certification, and Workforce Management”. systems to determine what relationships between subsystems and components
