Ensure IA standards are included and implemented at each step of the development process. Perform vulnerability assessments based on results of: Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), Gold Disk, and/or Retina scanning. Apply patches in support of security testing activities. Analyze candidate baseline system changes to assess the impacts to any accredited implementation. Provide technical support/inputs to ensure accreditation needs are addressed. Support creation and maintenance of Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation for candidate changes/releases.
Assist in performing analysis tasks for a baseline release including: IA Controls implementation and validation of requirements, Security impact analysis, Design for vulnerability mitigations.

General Requirements • CISSP certification highly desired.

Position Description The Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer will provide support programs such as the Warfighter Modeling and Simulation Support (WMS2) program, as one example, in Huntsville, AL. This position has frequent short turn-around demands that require high quality work that may be presented to the customer/user, element program office, and senior leadership. Establish plans; manage, perform, measure, and improve the systems engineering processes and activities to synthesize a single, effective, efficient simulation software environment of tools, processes, procedures, and practices across the simulation and development teams. Ensure that the systems engineering processes for MDA simulation products comply with standards, guidance, and requirements of MDA Modeling and Simulation (MDA/M&S), the DOD, and other government organizations, as required. Promote requirements integration across the simulation composition. Provide technical expertise assisting the allocation of requirements to appropriate M&S within simulation composition, and their prioritization and analysis in support of program management. Assist in supporting the Validation, Verification and Accreditation objectives as necessary. Capture "lessons learned," including appropriate metrics, to improve the systems engineering of the composition simulation.

The Training Analyst must have either Air Defense or Field Artillery operational experience. General duties include a working knowledge of the Fires Center of Excellence and the Army’s combat developments process. Candidate will conduct military analysis and make recommendations on new tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) to be integrated into training plans and strategies. Be able to develop analytical products, white papers, and special reports on observations, insights, lessons (OIL) gathered from units or sources and coordinate the planning and execution of follow-on analysis. The qualified applicant will support Army Program of Instruction (POI) development and delivery.

Responsibilities:
- Will work with Training Developer and Technical Writers in the maintenance of User Guides (Quick Reference Guides, Quick Tips, and Software User Manuals), Lesson Plans, and Online Help and Web Pages
- Work with operating systems in Army Battle Command Systems (ABCS) and Joint environments
- Support Field Artillery (FA) and Air Defense (ADA) operations and capabilities and their tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs)
- Support the delivery of artillery and air defense system training to include planning, integrating, and synchronizing of system support of operations for Army Brigade Combat Team and/or maneuver battalion operations.
- Fires Training Analyst support analyze Fires support doctrine, Army and Joint lethal and nonlethal delivery systems, military decision making process (MDMP), and battle management systems.


Qualifications:
Knowledge Desired:
- Provide military expertise in the areas of doctrine, training, logistics, organization, materiel, personnel and facilities (DTLOMPF)
- Analyze the applications of tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) and their impact on observations, insights and lessons (OIL) on the military education system and operations
- Knowledgeable and capable to use Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Word

Experience Required:
One (1) year of on-the-job experience with a military training activity or school in the field artillery or air defense discipline.

Experience Desired:
- Conducts and provides cost/benefit analyses for new proposed program modifications, methods, and procedures to the current suite of Fires combat and supporting systems
- Be instrumental in planning and executing TRADOC standard Capability
- Development and Integration processes

High School Diploma

Bachelors Degree
