• The Public Affairs Officer (PAO) is responsible for developing a strong working relationship with media representatives where necessary, maintaining a robust community relations program and keeping external public informed on issues that may affect them. Coordinates solutions with other Contractors, Government employees, System Administrators, and CSSAMO soldiers. Troubleshoots and resolves training, networking and software issues. SAMS–IE Operator–1 - Handles the day to day operational supply control of the SAMS-IE system for the Mine Route Clearing Vehicle (MRCV) refurbishment project. Duties will include but are not limited to: receiving repair parts requests from the shop floor; processing repair parts requests; receiving repair parts; monitoring status of repair parts; ensuring proper cataloging and distribution of incoming parts. Processing turn-ins of repairable components for evacuation and work ordering of components for repair; tracking repair parts status; notifying management of repair parts problems; generating production reports, as required. Furthermore the SAMS-IE Operator 1 will perform cost management and other requirements, as required by the Program Manager (PM). Is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all electronic equipment.

Is responsible for the repair and maintenance of hydraulic equipment.
The Essential Functions of this position are listed below.
1. Maintain and repair hydraulic equipment and other equipment as required.
2. Follow PM standards as set by the manufacturers and Company procedures.
3. Inspect equipment for faults, report and set up schedule for repair or maintenance.
4. Maintain stock of supplies, tools and equipment in the hydraulic workshop.
5. Responsible for reporting changes to equipment such as moving or rerouting hoses, line, pumps, etc. Reporting includes changing drawings and schematics, handover to relief and notification to interested parties.
6. Follow Company policy in completing Task Based Risk Accessment, to Permit to Work System and Log Out/Tag Out procedures.
7. Participate in Company sponsored safety initiatives and perform work in a safe and efficient manner.
8. Observe, report and take action to correct any unsafe conditions, equipment failures or any other faults that could result in injury to personnel, work stoppage, environmental events or damage to the drilling unit.
9. Knowledge emergency duties and participate in safety drills as required.
10. Complete training for matrix position.
Minimum/Preferred Qualifications are:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prefer 3 years on the job, formal training in hydraulics theory and application

Basic Purpose of Job:
Assist in the installation, repair and maintenance of various railroad signals and grade crossing warning devices. Physical duties require the ability to do the following: make quick and accurate movements; maintain exact and steady arm/hand positioning movements; perform a rapid, horizontal hand torque action; lift/carry and push/pull objects weighing 25 lbs. The analysis shall incorporate the following cost reduction efforts and other efforts defined or initiated within the DoD: Operating and Support Cost Reduction (OSCR); Reduction of Total Ownership Cost (R-TOC); Reliability, Maintainability, and Supportability (RMS); Dual Use Applications; Commercial Operating Support Savings Initiative; Commercial Technology Insertion; Value Engineering (VE); Horizontal Technology Integration; Corrosion Reduction; and Environmental Compliance initiatives. The VE/LCCR programs shall also incorporate acquisition reform initiative philosophies, including Cost as an Independent Variable (CAIV), Standardization and Interoperability, Obsolescence Assessments and Continuous Technology Improvement initiatives. Shall generate and maintain a database to be used throughout the review and recommendation process for potential projects progress. Shall update and maintain this data to include a basis for project usage and costing data.

Member of Society of American Value Engineering (SAVE) a plus. Certified as an Associated Value Specialist (AVS) preferred.

Experience: The Engineer/Scientist must have a BS Degree in a related discipline with 10 years of overall related job experience. *Initial assembly and integration of electro-optical instruments

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to determine effectiveness of counter-IED operations and the application of counter-IED capabilities
• Identify, develop and analyze measures and metrics to gauge progress in the counter-IED fight
• Develop, administer and analyze surveys that gather commander and staff ideas and insights on the counter-IED fight
• Support course of action analyses and operations planning in the application of capabilities to defeat IEDs
• Conduct analyses in support of operations, across staff elements and forces employed
• Conduct analyses to support the decision making process across all elements of the staff. Types of analyses include but are not limited to trend identification and analysis that enable the commander and staff to define the characteristics of the local IED fight and resource allocation, scheduling and optimization
• Serve as the Commander’s advisor on analyses to support decision needs
• Manage, analyze and visualize data using statistical software, geospatial software, spreadsheet and graphic presentation software, and develop customized tools for staff elements
• Provide analytical tools, software development and systems engineering support to ensure interoperability and integration of emerging counter-IED technologies and tactics, techniques and procedures









Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in Operations Research (OR), Industrial Engineering, Applied Math, Statistics or related discipline
• Minimum of 5+ years OR work experience
• Required knowledge of, or first hand experience with DoD ground force tactics and deployment to Austere locations
• Candidates should have experience in data collection techniques, statistical analysis, trend analysis and identification and designing and administering surveys
