The positions (journeyman to senior) entail a minimum 6-month deployment OCONUS to secure analysis facilities in Afghanistan as a member of an analytical team. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Avanti Placements has an immediate need for a Media Analyst to Monitor Iraqi, Pan Arab and Western Press for development, trends, news stories of interest as they relate to US Forces Iraq in the areas of security, politics, economics, international relations, communications and other topics as directed. The Media Assessment Analyst will analyze large amounts of information and effectively communicate finds to senior military and civilian audiences while meeting delivery schedules and timelines. The Analyst assesses trends in media reporting, and assesses the effectiveness of USF-I and GoI media engagements.
Regular duties involve monitoring and analyzing international websites and forums, writing regular and irregular reports, some quantitative analysis, briefings, and similar duties. This is a great opportunity for individuals with foreign language skills and international experience who enjoy keeping abreast of current events. The Analyst is responsible for collecting stories, coding them, and completing a write-up that includes graphs, a summary, an analysis and an assessment. Duties : This is a developmental Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS) position responsible for the safe, orderly and expeditious movement of air traffic through the nation's airspace. Vacancies for both the Terminal and Enroute options may be filled from this announcement. The Terminal option controls air traffic at airports and give pilots taxiing and takeoff instructions, air traffic clearances, advice based on their own observations, information from the National Weather Service, Air Route Traffic Control Centers (ARTCCs), flight service stations, pilots, & other sources. Terminal Air Traffic Controllers transfer control of aircraft to the En Route Center controller when the aircraft leaves their airspace, and they receive control of aircraft coming into their airspace. Air Traffic Controllers in the En Route (Center) option give aircraft instructions, air traffic clearances and advice regarding flight conditions while en route between airports. They provide separation between aircraft flying along the Federal airways or operating into or out of airports. As a new Air Traffic Control Specialist, you will spend your first several weeks of employment in an intensive training program at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City, OK. While attending academy training you will be on a temporary appointment. Salary: Individuals, who successfully complete initial qualification training at the FAA Academy and all other requirements for continuing employment, including evaluations required by the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), may be given permanent appointments with a salary of $33,700 base pay. Training Requirements:

The purpose of this Knowledge Management support is to assist with the implementation and training of US specific Knowledge Managers in theater so all organizations are effectively working towards the same goals as directed under the current campaign plan.
Contractor must have a SECRET/TS/SCI clearance level.
The Knowledge Manager must have an intermediate level knowledge of US military IT systems, programs, and platforms such as SIPR, NIPR, CENTRIX ISAF, Adobe Connect, SharePoint 2007 (MOSS), Microsoft Office and Server applications, Command Post of the Future (or other Command and Control systems), and other common military systems and programs. The contractor will also have an expert knowledge of military operations and senior level staff organization and process.
