GM/President, Technology
Wingate Dunross, Inc.
ph: (818)597-3200 ext. 211
e: nickm@wdsearch.com

Client has retained me on a couple of exciting new searches in the Houston, TX area. With an investment of $15 million in their new manufacturing plant, they are anticipating 50 hires in 2010. Their product is a highly innovative ceramic microsphere with resistance to both high temperatures and pressures. These spheres, called "proppants", are injected into oil wells at depth to maintain fluid flow. I have been working with this firm since 2005, and have placed 3 members of the executive staff, so I can heartily recommend them, especially now, since they are poised to undergo potential "rocket-ride" growth in the next few years.

Materials Manager:

Requirements:

1. Domestic and International purchasing experience (China-focused) in EARTHEN and CERAMIC materials. I do not want someone who has purchased lamp parts and linens. This must be bulk raw material purchasing experience. Bulk chemicals would be acceptable.

2. Equipment/systems purchasing and specifying experience

3. Experience in establishing relationships with foreign agents/middle men

4. Ability to travel as needed-no staff is available to do the dirty work

5. Strong relationship building experience

6. Excellent English skills desired; Chinese fluency a major plus!

Desired Skills and Experience:

1. Hands-on problem solving ability

2. Strong work ethic and strength in the face of adversity

3. Understanding that start-up companies are different from established firms. Prior start-up experience OR appropriate mentality and attitude a big plus.

4. Extensive experience in sourcing and purchasing cenospheres

Material Manager, Logistics Manager

Requirements:

Direct Experience with:

1. Shipment of proppant to jobsite, establishment of relationships with service companies and operators. MUST have shipped proppants or bulk chemicals directly to oil wells/fields.

2. Establishment of relationships with trucking, rail, etc/rate negotiation

3. Supervision of plant/terminal shipping personnel

4. Establishment of remote receiving terminals

5. Excellent planning and budgeting skills

6. Ability to work with minimum direction and support
(there will be no staff to direct)

Desired Skills and Experience:

1. Hands-on problem solving ability

2. Strong work ethic and strength in the face of adversity

3. Understanding that start-up companies are different from established firms. Prior start-up experience OR appropriate mentality and attitude a big plus.
