1. We are searching for a Training Simulation Systems Technician to support Missile Defense training at Schriever AFB.
Brief Description: Operate all equipment associated with Distributed Multi-echelon Training System (DMETS) and provide White Cell support to warfighter training. Work location is at the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC), Schriever AFB, CO.
Provide a daily training opportunity for warfighters by operating the missile defense training simulation systems. This position must also coordinate a variety of issues to include starting and stopping training events with warfighters. Additionally, coordinate daily activities with DMETS teammates to include personnel operating the Distributed GMD System Trainer (DGST) and the training C2BMC Suite. All operations must be recorded in an events log and consistent metrics must be maintained. Operator must be able to work well within a small team of two to four personnel. A training program is provided but does not cover every situation therefore the operator must be able to overcome obstacles and continue to provide training. DMETS is typically scheduled to operate 80 hours per week from 0600 to 2200. No one is required to operate more than 40 hours per week, and the shift will typically change weekly from 0600 to 1400 and 1400 to 2200. However, there are occasions when the normal times may change from the standard 0600 to 2200 and occasionally weekends are required based on the needs of warfighter and the availability of DMETS support equipment. The individual will work closely with a mission-focused team that plans, conducts, and supports missile defense training events for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), the Warfighter, and other missile defense stakeholders. Most events feature military operator-in-the-loop (OITL) participation, and include developmental missile defense system elements with wargaming simulations.

Minimum Requirements: Associate’s Degree with 2 Years of Experience. Ability to learn to operate Solaris, Linux, and Windows. Must be able to adapt to short term deadlines and work well under pressure. Ability to communicate effectively with multiple organizations using a broad spectrum of tools. Able to clearly and succinctly communicate complex concepts, issues, and status to senior contractor and government leadership. Must have at least a DOD Secret security clearance.

Computer Systems Technologist II-SASMO

Avanti Placements is seeking an Information Assurance and Policy Officer to provide technical and analytical support and guidance to the Transformational Medical Technologies (TMT) program in matters relating to information management (IM) issues that involve a wide range of information assurance (IA) and information technology (IT) security.

TMT is a Department of Defense (DOD) program that was created to revolutionize protection for the Warfighter against biological threats. TMT accelerates the development and manufacture of broad-spectrum countermeasures by fostering the discovery of novel medical technologies, employing nontraditional scientific approaches, and streamlining drug development and DOD acquisition management practices.

Position Description
The position requires ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.

The Information Assurance and Policy Officer will also take part in program development efforts including portfolio analyses and drafting technical requirements. He/she will also participate in fact finding efforts that support contract negotiations with potential performers, and will support the customer in preparing briefings and responses to oversight bodies including the Executive branch and Congress.

Specific Duties Include
- Serve as a centralized and authoritative source of IA policy, legislation, directives;
- Development of IA concepts and strategic implementation planning;
- Developing policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data;
- Participating in software, systems, and security engineering activities, such as: small and large scale systems and security engineering and development efforts;
- Performing strategic and implementation planning, risk management, and technology assessments in the areas of communications, networking, operating systems, applications, and security.
- Analyzing, supporting DITSCAP/DIICAP Certification and systems security compliance
- Participating in network and systems design to ensure implementation of appropriate systems security policies and contingency plans

- Conducting risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs;

Qualifications and Evaluations
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Specialized Experience Requirements: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
You must have one year specialized experience. Specialized experience is experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position being filled. EDUCATION:

The MERS detachments provide mobile telecommunications, operations, logistical, and information processing support to Federal response personnel at special events and emergency disaster field operations. Detachment personnel maintain state-of-the-art systems and equipment at a high level of readiness for rapid response to natural disasters and other all-hazards mission assignments.
As a Utilities Systems Repairer-Operator in the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Response Directorate, Disaster Emergency Communications Division, MERS detachment, you will be perform support services related to the operation of Utility Systems and equipment for deployed personnel.
Specific Duties:
In this position you will:
• Performs maintenance and repair to power support systems including engines, generators, alternators, gears, compressors, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical components.
• Operates and maintains the environmental control units (ECUs) at the deployed site.
• Performs periodic Performance Maintenance (PM) and repair work prior to, during, and after deployment, on the detachment support equipment.
• Determines the physical plant layouts, and writes plans/procedures to deploy and set up the ECUs from the VSAB to field sites.

War College, School of Advance Military Studies (SAMS), JAWs, or JPME-II experience, and experience writing strategic documents. Either recent combat experience, or strong staff experience in IED fight. Must be very competent with MS Word, Power Point and Excel. Bachelor's degree (in a technical field or business administration) or equivalent, and 16 to 18 years of related (project support or management) experience.

The JIEDDO (Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization) COIC (Counter-IED Operations Integration Center) was established in August 2006 and directly serves warfighters' efforts to focus attacks on enemy networks employing IEDs. The COIC's customer feedback program is designed to further improve its overall performance. Customer evaluations rate COIC products for quality, timeliness, and their ability to enhance the customer's previous intelligence and information. On average, customers rated COIC products 4.8 on a 5 point scale.
The COIC leverages existing information and provides strategic capabilities in support of offensive operations against IED networks. Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate and provide analysis and recommendations on new, material and non-material initiatives in support of either the Attack the Network, Defeat the Device, or Train the Force Lines of Operation (LOO). As part of JIEDDO's Horizontal Integration concept, contractors shall focus their efforts on Weapons Technical Intelligence, Suicide IED, Counter-IED Electronic Warfare (CREW), Underbelly, Command Wire IED, Homemade Explosives, Explosively Formed Projectiles, and SERF. Prepares Concepts of Operation for new initiatives. Required Qualifications: Minimum Twelve (12) years of military experience. Minimum field grade officer or DoD equivalent. Experience at Army Division (or other DoD service equivalent) level staff. Experience in one or more of the following areas: Weapons Technical Intelligence (WTI), Suicide IED, Counter-IED Electronic Warfare (CREW), Underbelly, Command Wire IED, Homemade Explosives, Explosively Formed Projectiles, aerial IEDs, dismounted operations in an IED environment, medical implications of IEDs, route clearance operations,; and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR). Strong operational and tactical background with Army or USMC maneuver elements and be conversant with technical applications of new and emerging technologies and their impact on fielded forces as well as the training base.
Typically requires bachelor's degree (in a technical field or business administration) or equivalent, and 12 to 15 years of related (project support or management) experience.

COCOM Training Support Specialist (Arlington, VA)

Duties and Responsibilities: Support COCOM requests for exercise support at all levels. For JTF level exercises support the Joint Training Counter-IED Operations Integration Center (JTCOIC, which is the JIEDDO lead in coordinating Div and above). Provide counter-IED training support to: Corps, CJTF, Division, and MEF headquarters. This may or may not include coordination with Joint Forces Command, J-7 Exercise Program and, or the Service Battle Command Training Programs. Required Qualifications: Minimum Eighteen (18) years of specialized experience in the joint military training environment including counter-IED experience. Ability to conduct complex studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of organizational training programs and organizational training principles and practices. 1. The incumbent serves as an advisor/consultant on acquisition programs within the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD) providing Logistics Life Cycle Management advice, guidance and assistance to NPPD Office of the Under Secretary (OUS) and Subcomponents.

2. Leads/plans/develops effective and affordable systems, materiel, or information systems support strategies. 4.
