3. ACS adding 450 jobs in Colorado Springs, CO
Affiliated Computer Services is expanding its call center operations in Colorado Springs and will add 450 jobs, nearly doubling the company’s presence here.
Officials from ACS, a Xerox company, made the announcement today. The jobs will include technical support specialists and supervisors who will provide customer service to wireless providers.
Job applications are available online at www.acs-inc.com or can be picked up at the company’s recruiting office, 2424 Garden of the Gods Road, Suite D-3.
ACS is also hosting an open house 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 6 where job offers will be made on the spot to qualified candidates.
The news reinforces Colorado Springs status as a call-center epicenter.
Time Warner Cable, Hewlett Packard, T-Mobile and Oracle are just a few of the big names employing some 14,000 call center workers in the Pikes Peak region.

New Century U.S. is recruiting for numerous positions to provide CJ2 support to the International Security Assistance Force/United States Forces - Afghanistan (ISAF/USFOR-A). Qualifications and Evaluations
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Specialized Experience Requirements: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
This position has a positive education requirement. 1.0 Scope. The scope of this effort is to provide training support to the Command and Control Training and Education Center of Excellence (C2 TECOE), Training and Education Command (TECOM) in the following three (3) support areas:

(1) Combat Operations Center (COC) Instructors: The Contractor will provide
contract services with contract personnel who are well versed in MAGTF
Operations at the tactical level for Company through Regimental infantry,
logistics, and aviation combat operations. They will have a strong background in

MAGTF Fire Support Coordination procedures and operations at the tactical level
for Company through Regimental infantry combat operations. They will have a
strong background in both fire support and maneuver control systems, with an
emphasis on integrating fire support coordination with ground operations
utilizing the family of C2 systems fielded as part of the Combat Operations
Center (COC) Capability Set (CAPSET) version III and IV. The equipment fielded
as part of the COC CAPSET III supports regimental COC operations; the equipment
fielded as part of the COC CAPSET IV supports Battalion COC operations;

(3) SharePoint Program of Instruction (POI) development: The Contractor will
provide contract services with contract personnel who are well versed in the
installation, operations, maintenance, design, and development of SharePoint
organizational sites employed in support of the Combat Operations Center (COC)
and by C2 TECOE. They will have experience in SharePoint instructional support,
the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) process, and providing SharePoint
services to the C2 TECOE in development of the C2 TECOE SharePoint site.

The candidate shall provide inventory support upon ship's request, normally in preparation for deployment or inspections such as SMC, INSURV and LLTT and shall be responsible for executing inventories for HM lockers, with emphasis on the accuracy of inventory with respect to allowance items, quantity, location and shelf-life validity.
Duties include:
• Random sampling for both inventory accuracy and location audits before scheduling annual wall-to-wall inventories and location audits IAW established procedures.
• Load the latest T-SHML for particular ship before proceeding with any scheduled inventory, if not yet done, and produce all the necessary Analysis reports for corrective action once inventory results have been produced. • Perform the HICSWIN database backup process once an annual inventory has been determined to be required.
• Conduct a location consolidation if needed and a wall to wall inventory utilizing available HICSWIN reports/listings. All discrepancies will be noted, researched and corrected within the schedule timeframe.
• Update in HICSWIN database any inventory adjustments, location changes, shelf life codes and produce the necessary HM labels.

• Assist the ship, as requested, in scheduling and coordinating support effort with LSRs, PWC (or available HW support service) with the Regional HM Directors and staffs.
• Screen offload candidates as scheduled and coordinate with shipboard personnel for proper packing in authorized containers, material condition and labeling.
• Randomly screen and provide corrective action to ship's personnel for all used HM for turnover to local HW contractor for any discrepancies found or reported concerning material condition and documentation.
• The Subcontractor shall assist and ensure that shipboard personnel are knowledgeable and trained in the preparation of documentation through HICSWIN for any offloads.

HICSWIN Software/Hardware Support

Provide services for HICSWIN deployment, distribution, updating, and maintenance to ensure that all ships have the current version of the software installed and operational. The Subcontractor shall be able to provide assistance with troubleshooting, identifying, and correcting, when possible, all HICSWIN peripheral hardware deficiencies onboard ships.

The Subcontractor shall implement any HICSWIN system upgrades as instructed by COMFISCS and Serco Program Managers. They shall ensure most current version is installed on stand-alone HICSWIN computers.

The Subcontractor shall deploy and update shipboard HICSWIN computers with such reference data and software such as T-SHML, HMIRS and others as required.
Training

B. GENERAL Employee in this position is that of a Water Treatment Plant Operator Journeyman. The employee is a person who must make sound judgments concerning the operation of the water system. Employee works with very little supervision and makes inquiries when unusual situations in the Water System arise. The employee must be able to follow oral and written instructions from the Supervisor. The employee is required to perform minor maintenance replacing small valves, renewing packing gland bolts, greasing pumps, replacing strainers and gaskets, adjusting pump control valves, altitude valves, high pressure relief valves, and changing out copper sense lines and fittings as needed. During each shift, and within an assigned sector or area, the employee drives a pick-up truck in order to make scheduled visits to water stations and equipment. The Employee checks wells, boosters pumps, chlorinators, pressure booster or reducing stations, control switches, etc. Operational responsibility requires the employee to establish and maintain proper levels in reservoirs whether visually or by a level indicator. The employee takes water samples and tests for pH and chlorine residual readings and further computes chlorine to water ratios by the amount of chlorine injected into water pumped during a given time period. The employee regulates and sets valves for pumping into different storage tanks, reservoirs and distribution lines. Employee maintains a constant supply of chlorine gas for purification units by transporting cylinders by pick-up trucks for facilities.
C SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Employee must possess at least a Water Treatment Operator Certification Grade II from the State of California Department of Health. Employee must possess a valid California Drivers License, and must qualify for, obtain and maintain a Government Vehicle Operators permit. Employee must possess a thorough knowledge of the mechanical aspects of potable water pumping, water treatment, main line distribution, reservoir storage and final distribution over miles of piping to using facilities.
