POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Candidate will perform applied mathematics to solve problems inherent to military stability operations. Qualifications and Evaluations
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
To qualify for this position at the GS-15 level you must possess at least one of the following:
At least one year of specialized experience, managing and coordinating a geospatial information program, including developing policies and procedures, and identifying strategies for the advancement of GIS and Information Technology use, to create solutions to highly complex disaster operations support problems and issues.
Time-in-Grade Requirements: Status applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade in the Federal service. To be creditable, one (1) year is required at the GS-14 level for the GS-15.
All qualifications and grade equivalency requirements must be met within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.

BRAND NEW ROLE - Seeking PA or NP for remote assignment (outside the Continental US) for 8-9 months starting February 1. This position is so new -- it is not yet listed on our website and probably won't be as the position will be closed within a week from today. Do you have an adventurous spirit? It would surely be required to this role. Responsibilities: The Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner is responsible for patient care at location. Performs other clinical and facility duties within the clinic. Required Qualifications: Minimum nurse practitioner degree or physician assistant degree required. Current licensure and certification in ACLS and BTLS required. Minimum of two years experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant working in a primary care environment required. Computer competence is required. Desired Qualifications: ATLS certification and licensure to prescribe medications is desirable. Experience working as sole primary care provider, in remote environments preferred. Experience with remote medical practices desired. This position works closely with all FEMA and National Preparedness Directorate (NPD) training and exercise entities to ensure consistency in the application of national training and exercise standards and programs in accordance with the National Response Framework (NRF) and implementation of the National Incident Management System (NIMS). This position reports directly to the Regional Integration Branch Chief and works closely with the Federal Preparedness Coordinator in the Region. This position is responsible for coordination of training and exercise protocols with external customers from State, local Tribal, other Federal government agencies, and the general public.
EMERGENCY ASSIGNMENT: FEMA employees are subject to 24 hour on-call in the event of any emergency. This service may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites that require functioning under intense physical and mental stress.

Organization: Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Region IV, National Preparedness Division, Regional Integration Branch, Thomasville, GA.
Primary Purpose: Assists in the administration, outreach, coordination, and operating efficiency of training and exercise program initiatives. This position assists in determining needs, performing gap analysis, marketing available curriculum with State, local, and Tribal partners, coordinating training between and among venues within the Region, assisting in student and instructor recruitment, and providing technical assistance regarding training and exercises. Helps monitor State, Local, and Tribal policies, coordinates training and exercises, and assists with risk analysis, development, and management and other local activities that need to be coordinated with the Federal sector.
Specific Duties:
Assists in the management, planning, and conduct of a variety of emergency management training courses and exercises within their respective FEMA Region.
Facilitates the delivery of training, as appropriate an extension of FEMA training programs, such as EMI, National Fire Academy (NFA), CDP, NDPC and Naval Postgraduate School (NPS).
Improves Regional Office, State and local government, the private sector, and community awareness of FEMA/DHS training services and facilitates the availability or delivery of such training opportunities within the Region and States.
Conducts research and needs assessment relevant to course development and revisions, changes in policies and procedures, professional development plans, and the delivery of courses.
Helps identify needs for updates and modifications to training activities such as technologies, programs, and requirements.
Guides, directs, and oversees approved contractor staff for delivery of the approved curriculum.
Ensures that objectives are met and evaluates effectiveness of course execution.
Coordinates and prioritizes course deliveries within the respective FEMA Region.

Qualifications and Evaluations
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Specialized Experience Requirements: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

Specialized experience is described as experience in...the management, planning, and conduct of a variety of emergency management training courses and exercises.
Time-in-Grade Requirements: Status applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade in the Federal service. To be creditable, one (1) year is required at the GS-09 level for the GS-11, and one year at the GS-11 for GS-12.
All qualifications and grade equivalency requirements must be met within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.

HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:

Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice or related security field and 10 years experience in industrial security, or:
• 15+ years in Law Enforcement administrative position or 10 years in management position in industrial Security. (Preferred Chemical or Oil & Gas Industry). Some exposure/experience with international security issues is preferred.
• Certified by the American Association of Industrial Security as a Certified Security Professional (CSP) or be willing to attain this certification within one year of employment.
• Graduation from the FBI National Academy is a plus.
• Be very familiar with the Homeland Security laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) regulations on Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CSAT) for the security of certain chemical facilities in the United States is strongly preferred.
• Understand the Security Vulnerability Assessment Methodology tool (CSAT) or willing to attain this ability in the first year of employment.
• Experience in Hazmat Incidents is a plus.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to formulate and articulate security strategies and solutions to all levels of management in a context that aligns with the corporate culture of the organization.
• Effective at developing internal and external alliances.
• Experience as a liaison with international, federal, state and local government and law enforcement/information sources and private industrial security.

DCGS-A features unique data scalability requirements and allows for a flexible system evolution. Engineers working on the program are required to solve hardware and software challenges across three different fielded hardware and software baselines. The engineer will identify server and client hardware and software faults, create solutions, and then test solutions in often demanding field environments with little or no remote support. The DCGS-A FSE will interact with a wide variety of systems implementations on a single customer site, including Virtualized Machines (VMs) running on a variety of different hardware platforms. The successful candidate will have extensive software, hardware, and network troubleshooting experience. The candidate will able to install, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux-based operating systems and software on client and server machines. Candidate will have project engineering experience and familiarity with remote system administration software, networking principles. They will also have exceptional oral and written communications skills and ability to work independently, with minimum direction; creative problem solver able to quickly devise, test, and implement solutions, and a self-motivated and results-focused mindset is a must. Workload Distribution:
60% of time spent solving hardware/software challenges (creating software scripts, integrating the system components, and performing GIS or DBA technical support)
25% of time working through installation procedures
10% of time solving hardware/networking issues
5% of time coordinating and arranging necessary customer support Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or Associates degree in Computer Science preferred. Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 9+ years of experience in information technology operations or system repair required. Performs work, which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, and difficult coordination requirements. 31. Immediate Opportunity Senior Security Management Advisor (SSMA)- Afghanistan Top Secret SCI Clearance

Avanti Placements is seeking several Senior Security Management Advisors (SSMA) for immediate deployment to Afghanistan. The SSMA will assist, monitor and advise on all aspects of security support, working in coordination with an integrated military staff. The SSMA will direct a contractor team of Assistant Special Security Advisors (ASSA)s where appropriate. The SSMA will also plan and assist in implementation of security activities at the Top Secret and higher classification to ensure ISAF/USFOR‐A soldiers, DoD civilians, contractors and all supported tenant organizations are prepared to operate in non‐traditional environments to perform critical contingency tasks. SSMAs will perform all tasks of the Assistant Special Security Advisor as required. Contractors filling this position shall be considered key personnel.

Senior Security Management Advisors Job Requirements:o Must be a US Citizen with a Top Secret SCI clearance
o 5 years Senior Security Management experience.o Bachelors Degreeo Must have valid, current driver's license and passport
o In the case of military service, all military discharges must have been under honorable conditions
o No impediments to traveling overseas to and within countries that are considered dangerous or unhealthy
o Must pass detailed medical evaluation and background investigation
o Ability to work in crisis situations to include travel, shift work, and weekend duty.o Prior military experience, prior deployments to the Middle East.
