Department Description:
Field Systems Engineering provides technical support, design, and
implementation services to the pre-sale and post-sale organizations on
Motorola's full range of products and services. Our customers are primarily
state and local governments, as well as mass transit. The
department provides the region/customers with pre-sale technical consultancy
including workshops, customer meetings, and technical
papers and also provides technical proposal responses, technical support
during contract negotiations and implementation engineering
until system acceptance. The technologies covered are mobile radio, video,
E911 telephone, MPLS networks, WLAN, mobile data systems,
point-to-point/point to multi-point backhaul, software applications and
system integration. The department delivers customer focused, world-class,
leading edge, competitive, end-to-end solutions.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
1) Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support to the regional account
and project managers. This includes mobile radio and data
system design, RF coverage analysis, network design, proposal preparation
and system implementation engineering.
Main responsibilities:
a) Provide account managers with technical expertise and design solutions
for: mobile radio systems, data applications, WLAN systems, backhaul,
transit technology, PTP/PMP, video, E911 phone systems and dispatch centers,
and MPLS networks.
b) Prepare technical responses to bid proposals, as well as provide
technical support during contract negotiations.
c) Prepare and present technically compelling presentation material on
system designs.
d) Prepare RF coverage analysis using proprietary propagation and design
tools.
e) Provide engineering services for implementation of sold systems.
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
1. Bachelors degree required, BSEE preferred
2. 3+ years systems experience in the telecommunication industry.
3. Good understanding of RF design and propagation an analysis.
4. Good understanding of the MPLS networking.
5. Ability to work closely with customers and Motorola's sales team to
understand the needs of the customer.
6. Ability to work closely with a diverse group of engineers, system
technologists, project managers, and account managers to propose and
implement the best solution based on the needs of the client.
7. Ability to use common tools such as Microsoft Office, Visio, and Outlook
as well as public and proprietary engineering tools for
propagation and engineering design.
8. Good presentation, verbal and written communication skills are required.
9. Must be able to work under pressure and independently, and be able to
meet project deadlines for delivering quality solutions on time.
10. Must be able to travel to meet the needs of our customers in the

11. Job Title: Field Service Technician (Gurnee, IL)
Reports To: Manager, Service
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary:
Work as a link between customer and Eirich Machines to determine cause of problem, help to diagnose and implementation of fixes by performing the responsibilities listed below.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Meet with customer for machine inspections.
• Perform machine repairs/modifications on site or in house.
• Supervise customer’s mechanics during repairs. Act as a service professional with customer care responsibility.
• Perform a wide variety of duties to troubleshot and repair electrical and/or mechanical products at the customer location. Reports progress and technical problems to supervisor.
• Test product to determine nature of problem and replace parts, components or perform adjustments as necessary.
• Executes documentation work assignments to appropriate standards and quality systems.
• Pro-actively looks to build cross discipline experience and increase knowledge through working with other engineers and technicians. Work in company shop when not out on service call.
Qualification and Technical Skills:
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
• Domestic and international travel is required 60-70%, must have a valid passport and driver’s license.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Requires frequent kneeling and bending and considerable use of hands and tools.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Education/Experience:
• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires sound mechanical and electrical understanding.

Position Title: Physical Security Analyst

JOB SUMMARY: The Physical Security Analyst (PSA) serves as a Physical Security expert for the Provost Marshal Office (PMO), Area Support Group – Qatar (ASG-QA). The PSA is responsible for the review, analysis, and monitoring of the ASG-QA Physical Security (PS) plan and all PS requirements for ASG-QA.
Responsibilities:
• Recommend through the Provost Marshal (PM) and to the ASG-QA Commander, those installation activities that require special PS considerations because of their mission essential or critical status and vulnerability to various threats.
• Assess the installation PS needs by conducting risk analyses, PS inspections, and PS surveys. Recommend PS considerations in the preparation of installation engineer construction projects, including the design phase, ensure security considerations are included in all new construction, renovations, modification efforts, or lease acquisitions.
• Shall serve as the installation’s primary point of contact for access control and PS equipment, and shall provide coordination of equipment requirements with user, facility engineer, logistics, and communication personnel.
• Assist the PM or his designated representative with forecasting budget requirements for physical security equipment and projects related to installation security.
• Review and update the installation PS plan using information collected from local, Host Nation, federal intelligence and law enforcement support elements.
• Advise the PMO or a designated representative who will plan and program necessary resources for PS projects in the program objective memorandum (POM) cycle.
• Coordinate PS requirements with the organization OPSEC officer, antiterrorism officer, force protection officer and other staff agencies as required.
• Provide proposals and manage the installation barrier plan.
• Advise the installation engineer during the planning, design, and construction of designated construction projects to identify PS requirements, and to enable such PS requirements to be incorporated into the projects at the inception of the project planning. Installation activities include, but are not limited to, the main installation, outline installations or posts, off base military housing, morale, welfare and recreation establishments that DOD personnel may frequent.
• Consult with and advise all installation activities, units, and directorates on technical and regulatory matters involving PS.
• Shall perform necessary assistance visits, inspections, and surveys to ensure that units and activities are fully informed of directives, procedures, plans, and regulations. The Contractor shall prepare drafts of new policies and changes to standard operating procedures (SOPs) that pertain to PS.
• Interpret and implement all DoD, HQDA, CENTCOM, USARCENT, and ASG-QA policies and regulations as they pertain to PS and participate in the PS and AT/FP working group meetings.
• Schedules and independently performs a variety of risk analyses, PS inspections, and PS surveys of designated mission essential and vulnerable activities, and all installation activities, units, and directorates.
• Monitors all intrusion detection systems, duress alarm and access control devices.
• Makes necessary recommendations for corrective action when discrepancies occur, receives Commander’s action reports, and evaluates the extent to which previous recommendations have been implemented.
• Control and oversee issuance and replacement of keys, locks, and cores for locking devices to insure the integrity of the system and eliminate unauthorized entry.
• Orders and maintains keys, locks and parts as appropriate.
• Serve as the installation lock and key control point of contact and maintain master records of all keys in the system. The Contractor shall keep records of all combination changes to include the maintenance and safeguard of security container information.
• Monitor reports of dissident, terrorists, and foreign intelligence collection activities which may pose a threat to the ASG-QA command disseminating information and advice.
• Monitor intrusion detection alarm systems and CCTV. Reviews requests for IDS and CCTV to determine need, adequacy of proposed systems, and advises on meeting applicable standards.
• Manage and advise the PMO Force Protection Radiation Safety Program and report physical security equipment status. The ASG-QA Provost Marshal physical security equipment consists of the Mobile Vehicle and Cargo Inspection System (MVACIS) and Gamma Radiographic Detection System GaRDS. The Contractor shall be able to review and understand the PMO Radiation Safety Program Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the Radiation Dosimeter Program.
• Be able to maintain a dialog with the DOD and CENTCOM Radiation Safety Offices for the purposes of receiving current and updated information.
• Maintain, issue, receive, and conduct exchanges of used dosimeters with Redstone Arsenal.
• Provide the PMO with weekly work status reports, complete an annual Installation Physical Security Survey, weekly IDS status checks reports, complete annual physical security inspection of all mission critical areas or facilities, barrier plan report, quarterly update to the installation’s physical security plan, weekly physical security equipment report, quarterly off post housing reports, installation staff assistant visits with tenant units and organizations as requested by the PM.
• Ensure all Arms, Ammunition, and Explosive areas are in accordance with applicable HQDA regulations, policies and procedures.
• Conduct staff assistance visits (SAVs) in preparation for regulatory physical security inspections.
• Conduct physical security inspections of installation and unit motor pools.
• Ensure security of Army property at unit and installation level is in accordance with applicable Army and DoD regulatory requirements.
• Prohibit the opening of locked areas by Contractor employees to permit entrance of persons other than Contractor employees engaged in the performance of assigned work in those areas, or personnel authorized entrance by the Contracting Officer.
• Lock Combinations. Shall establish and implement methods of ensuring all lock combinations are not revealed to unauthorized persons.
• Ensure lock combinations are changed when personnel having access to the combinations no longer have a need to know such combinations.

Description: The purpose of this position is to support a Base Operating Support Integrator (BOS-I) project based in Camp Leatherneck, Helmand Province Afghanistan. Desired experience and qualifications are listed below. The intent is that candidates selected for the proposal will have first consideration pending a contract award.
Position Summary: Support the BOS-I by auditing billeting services at Camp Leatherneck, in accordance with Camp Leatherneck regulations, Camp policies and procedures and by working with other Camp personnel and LOGCAP to monitor billeting support of the military tenants. Act as Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative to the BOS-I on all issues related to how housing is maintained and administered aboard Camp Leatherneck. Maintain required reports and statistics; prepare reports on a monthly and annual basis as required. Facilitate and mediate communication with tenants as needed. Respond to inquiries, phone calls, correspondence, and e-mail in a timely and responsive manner. Properly maintain client files and computer records to insure accuracy according to Billeting regulations, policies and procedures. Performs other related tasks as required.
Responsibilities:
Assesses the provisions of billeting by LOGCAP IV. Act as Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative to the Contracting Officer’s Representative.
• Prepare required reports and statistics on an as-needed basis.
• Facilitate communication with civilian and military tenants.
• Respond to inquiries, phone calls, correspondence, and e-mail in a timely manner.

• Respond in a timely manner to all inquiries and information received regarding billeting and quality of life associated with billeting.
• Attend meetings as required.
• Collaborate with LOGCAP in the performance of their duty as billeting provider.
