Minimum Requirements:
URS Corporation is immediately hiring qualified Aircraft General Repair Mechanics in support of Army helicopter Phase maintenance operations on UH-60 helicopters at Waterloo, IA.

High School graduate or equivalent with a minimum of Five (5) years experience with UH-60 type airframes required Phase and Flight Line Maintenance. This is a traveling position for multiple sites.

Three (3) years actual and recent aircraft maintenance / repair experience is required. Five (5) years experience desired. An A&P license shall be considered equivalent to three (3) years experience within the aircraft field. UH-60 experience is required.

Must have completed military aviation maintenance training or maintenance technical school curriculum or possess an FAA issued A&P license.

Job Description:
The Aircraft Mechanic I troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems. This mechanic repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. This worker reads and interprets manufacturers' and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. This mechanic performs 100-hour, progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar inspections, examines reciprocating engines for cracked cylinders and oil leaks, and listens to operating engine to detect and diagnose malfunctions, such as sticking or burnt valves, inspects jet engines and components for cracks, corrosion, foreign object damage, burned areas, distortions, security, warping, wear, and missing segments. Inspects jet engine turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks, tests engine operation, using testing equipment, such as ignition analyzer, compression checker, distributor timer, ammeter, and jet calibration (Jetcal) tester, to locate source of malfunction. Work involves: replacing or repairing worn or damaged components, such as carburetors, alternators, magnetos, fuel controls, fuel pumps, oil pumps, and engine mounted gearboxes, and compressor bleed valves using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment; removing engine from aircraft, using hoist or forklift truck, disassembling and inspecting parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects, and repairing or replacing defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine in aircraft. Job duties require that this mechanic: adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories, performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes. This incumbent supervises the jacking and towing of aircraft, enters in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily, may service engines and airframe components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition, may specialize in work, repair and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies, and may specialize in engine repair. This worker may be required to be licensed by Federal Aviation Administration.

Job Description:
Will manage the Mission Assurance area of the Lemoore contract. Responsibilities will include Quality Assurance Management, Training & Certification, Safety Management, Tools & Clothing, ISO, and the site audit programs.
The Supervisor is responsible for generating and maintaining electronic files, managing programs, local Standard Operating Procedures, and various other instructions ensuring compliance with the Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) and performs research as required by the executive that is in charge of his/her activities.

Individual must also manage and track individual work centers’ qualifications for Quality Assurance Audits. The Supervisor must be able to properly use the telephone, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service etiquette, be familiar with postal mail services and web sites in order to complete his/her job functions. The Supervisor may also be responsible for the travel arrangements of maintenance personnel.

Supervisors also prepare agendas and make arrangements for the daily work schedule. The Supervisor is required to use word processing, have professional writing etiquette and have good communication skills, be knowledgeable of software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, desktop publishing, project management, spreadsheets, and database management.

SUMMARY: Repairs and maintains general plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following:

* Conducts regular preventative maintenance duties that include checking and changing belts and cleaning coils fans.
* Maintains and repairs basic phases of HVAC equipment.
* Charges troubleshooting and repair of electrical components and controls, and other work according to standard practice in the industry.
* Uses Engineering Training Book and equipment parts and service manuals as guides for standards when repairing equipment.
* Monitor the building's electrical system to the extent necessary to keep property in a safe, balanced working condition, according to standard codes and acceptable practices.

* Services guest rooms by repairing drapery hardware, repairing and finishing touch-up of furniture; painting and repairing of lamps, changing light bulbs, exchanging televisions, radios and air conditioners; plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, plumbing and electrical equipment; maintaining the general appearance of the room to the satisfaction of the guest and the Chief Engineer.
* Maintains and service public areas by plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, plumbing and electrical equipment.
* Maintains and monitors Fire Alarm/Life Safety System as necessary. Remains fully informed about the operation and working of the system in order to promptly handle emergencies involving the system.
* Observes energy and utilities use in the hotel building and on the grounds and regularly looks for ways to conserve energy. Reports any ideas to the Chief Engineer.
* Cleans, lubricates, protects and otherwise maintains all tools and instruments in the engineering department. Ensures that all tools used are returned to the shop and secured in proper storage areas.
* Protects and otherwise maintains assigned tool pouch tools and replaces lost or destroyed tools with approved tools at the discretion of the chief Engineer
* Maintains an open availability for any emergencies and helps preserve the buildings and its systems during emergencies. Acts as quickly and responsibly as possible to return the building to its normal operating status.
* Reports and informs the Director of Engineering of any emergencies.

OUTCOME: The overall maintenance of the guestroom and the facilities influence guest and co-employee impression of the total organization. Clean, well-maintained guestrooms, facilities and equipment will contribute to guest comfort and satisfaction.

• Inspect and maintain the hardware configuration of all TACLAN equipment in accordance with the TACLAN Program Office approved configuration specifications.

• Assist users with questions with hardware and software problems.
• Supports Audio Visual & Video Teleconferencing (AV/VTC), and Desktop Support as the need arises and as directed.
• Provide training support to government personnel who are assigned to maintain and operate the TACLAN systems in deployed scenarios. This training will supplement New Equipment Training courses provided by the TACLAN Program Office.
• Be responsible for providing operational training on established TACLAN systems. Training will be at the basic operational level and may include preventative maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Be prepared to deploy on exercises and/or real-world deployments as needed to provide user support to the TACLAN equipment. When deployed, personnel will maintain all equipment, tools, diagnostic software and ensure operational software is current.

Knowledge of the field of Radio Controlled improvised Explosive Devices (IED) and associated CREW systems. Practical experience in repairing state of the art telecommunications systems (CREW systems preferred). Inspects jet engine turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks, tests engine operation, using testing equipment, such as ignition analyzer, compression checker, distributor timer, ammeter, and jet calibration (Jetcal) tester, to locate source of malfunction.
