1. Associate Network Systems Engineer - Information Technology (Waukegan, IL)
Job Description
Under direct supervision, performs duties according to established policies and procedures, of difficulty in installing and maintaining support of Microsoft SQL Server, Windows operating systems and local and wide area network infrastructures. Essential duties and responsibilities will include: Performance and tuning of SQL servers, instances, and databases. This person will work closely with system engineers, developers and support teams. A person in this position is an entry-level technical contributor with training in the area of Windows server support, SQL server support, in addition to, local and wide area networking. In this position, the employee will receive formal and on-the-job training, supporting the installation and maintenance of Windows server operating systems, including but not limited to: Hardware installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, SQL database administration, database backup and recovery. An employee must have the ability to quickly learn and grow in technical expertise and a willingness to work under the detailed direction of a more experienced Network Systems Engineer.

Required Skills
To perform the job successfully, an individual must have 3+ years' experience with SQL database performance, tuning and query optimizations, including SQL database administration activities: installation, configuration, monitoring, space management, database backup and recovery. An individual must have a high level of initiative and aptitude, plus 3+ years of design, implementation, migration and support experience. Extensive knowledge of: Windows 2003/2008 Server Standard/Enterprise, IIS 7 and 2008 Active Directory Administration is required. Additional knowledge of: Windows Clustering for SQL, HP Left Hand SAN, HP EVA Fiber SAN, VMware ESX 4.1, Citrix XenServer 6.0, XenApp 6.0 and XenDesktop 5.5, Symantec Backup Exec 2010 is beneficial.

Required Experience
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree, with course work in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
Any offer of employment is conditioned on the successful completion of a pre-employment physical, to include a drug screen.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION/PROJECT:

This position is for a security engineer that will assist with many facets of information security. Candidate will participate in system and software reviews/evaluations, risk analysis/assessment, and many other security centric tasks. Work will be full-time with a schedule set to satisfy the customer's needs. Most work will be done on a normal day shift, but there is the possibility for weekend and evening work.

In this position, you will provide supervisory management direction and coordination of the Public Assistance component of the organization which is required for rapid Federal response and recovery to include damage assessment teams, disaster survey teams, and joint field office (JFO) operations within the Region. Typical duties include:
• Review and make recommendations to disaster declaration requests for approval or denial.
• Supervise and manage subordinate employees in both region and disaster operations
• During emergency field operations, direct the operation of the public assistance program's organization in coordination with the Federal Coordinating Officer (FCO) and other critical elements of the Joint Field Office.

You qualify for this position at the GS-13 level if you possess the following:
One full year of specialized experience at or equivalent the GS-12 federal level. Specialized experience is described as demonstrated experience administering and implementing the Public Assistance program, regulations and policies under the Robert T. * Cultivate and maintain relationships with philanthropic partners. Prepare for and conduct fundraising visits with President/CEO and/or Board members.

These positions are located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Office of the Chief Security Officer, Fraud and Internal Investigation Division's units within the continental U.S. In this position, you will be responsible for managing, inspecting, overseeing, and conducting criminal and administrative investigations in an effort to protect FEMA's personnel, property, facilities and information systems.
This position is being announced under FEMA's CORE Program (Cadre of On-call Response/Recovery employees). These positions are authorized under P.L. 93-288 to perform temporary disaster work and are funded from the Disaster Relief Fund. Appointments are excepted service, temporary appointments. The incumbent may work under the direction of the Supervisor, Fraud Prevention and Investigation Branch in Orlando, FL or under the supervision of the Supervisor, Title VI Fraud & Investigations Unit in Washington, DC. The work involves:

• Provide technical expertise in a wide variety of legal, operational and administrative functions.
• Identify elements of proof, develop investigative plans and strategies, identify and collect evidence, and prepare for and conduct witness and subject interviews.
• Conduct investigations in a timely manner, and prepare accurate and concise investigative reports, and assuring that all investigative procedures and findings conform to applicable FEMA policy.
• Utilize a variety of law enforcement databases to conduct e-searches on subjects under investigation. Using electronic and other tools, you will prepare reports of investigations to be used in criminal, civil, or administrative proceedings; report investigative findings as necessary; and assist authorities in the development and execution of judicial and/or administrative actions.
• Conduct investigations involving disaster fraud, grant fraud, bribery, larceny, embezzlement, collusion, conflict of interest, false statements, and other Federal violations and administrative investigations involving employee misconduct as they relate to FEMA's operations, mission and goals.

Responsibilities

K2 Solutions, Inc is seeking Senior Operational Specialists to provide direct support to the Army, Marine and other US Joint Forces. These specialists serve as members of a multi-discipline team performing tasks directly related to the Global War on Terrorism, focused on countering improvised explosive devices.

Interested personnel must possess a DoD TS/SCI Clearance and be capable of performing missions in a small unit accompanying US and Coalition forces in various remote locations, including high threat environments worldwide. The JET Operator is issued full equipment to include weapons, so as to blend unobtrusively with the assigned unit.

These positions are best suited for broadly-gauged experts who have recent in-theater experience in all areas and levels of counterinsurgency operations from team member through SF BN/Group (SOF) or Company through Division/MEF level (Conventional).

Personnel in these positions perform missions in various remote locations, including high threat environments such as Iraq and Afghanistan.
Candidates are not required to relocate and can live anywhere in the continental United States. Deployments are 4 months in-theater, 4 months CONUS, 4 months in-theater.

Experience and Education:

Recent in-theater experience with a Combat arms unit is required. Multiple tours at various operational levels that include a mix of direct combat, operational planning, training development and Ops-Intel fusion is preferred.

Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years experience in Combat Arms and a minimum of two (2) years experience deployed to either Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom or Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Time deployed to either location as a member of the military (vice contractor) is preferred.
Successful applicants will have direct counterinsurgency operational experience in positions from team member through SF BN/Group (SOF) or Company through Division/MEF level (Conventional).
