COMPETENCIES/ABILITIES Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law enforcement, security or related field, and thirteen or more year’s progressive experience in security administration with at least seven of those years having management responsibilities. Equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education. Must possess: (1) extensive experience overseeing a physical security program in a large corporate environment to include managing relationships with external security agencies, such as law enforcement, DHS, and FBI; (2) extensive expertise in the application of relevant security concepts and practices with a comprehensive knowledge of federal and local security regulations and current security operating procedures, as well as solid knowledge of NISPOM requirement; (3) the ability to articulate and write in a clear, concise, and accurate fashion, effectively address diverse audiences including executive management, and facilitate difficult discussions; (4) strong leadership, interpersonal, and management skills with the ability to build and sustain a successful team; (5) the ability to interpret and explain complex issues; and (6) exercise considerable and sound judgment in all aspects of work.
