While we help both officers and enlisted folks, the majority of roles we
have for enlisted personnel are for those with technical backgrounds
(mechanics, maintenance, electronics, etc.), as those are the jobs that
companies give us to fill. For officers, we can work most backgrounds, but
the most opportunities are found for the O-3 level folks, senior O-2 and
Junior O-4 individuals and in the maintenance, engineering, and supervisory
roles (positions with large number of people under you that you
supervise)....outside of that the opportunities are in smaller amounts and
it can be hard to accommodate.
If you are interested in an opportunity and are not an active candidate, please include
a resume and your military rank/background in any emails.

The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) has developed a one-year pilot

Advise, mentor, and train the Resource Manager, division’s personnel, and coordinate with Deputy for Program and Budget on the following tasks:

o The establishment and maintenance of processes to field and distribute equipment and conduct equipment inventories and property book inspections.
o Assist in the identification of systemic logistical problems and develop and implement policy and doctrinal solutions.
o The establishment and implementation of resource distribution programs for routine and periodic reviews.
o Submitting ANA required reports through established channels in approved formats.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must meet all physical, medical and other requirements for overseas deployment in accordance with current DoD regulations. Candidate must possess a fitness level appropriate to performing work in a field environment and current medical exam completed within the past 12 months. Candidate must have been tested and present proof of a negative HIV test result performed within six months of deployment. Dental and medical readiness must be up to date and candidate must maintain a current US Passport.
Candidate must have a current SECRET Level Security Clearance (Previously granted and never revoked or suspended).
The ideal candidate will be a former military or civilian equivalent 04/ 05 or CW3/4/5 with an extensive logistics background including knowledge in property book, budget, resourcing, and equipment fielding and accountability.

This staff level position performs professional, complex technical work, and oversight in the installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of various electrical components and equipment located throughout City and County facilities. The incumbent works in partnership with other employees, departments/divisions, agencies and the public in delivering effective and innovative services that support the goals, objectives, mission statement and guiding values of the City and County. Provide holistic services to the public by seeking ways to integrate programs or services provided by other departments, divisions and agencies.
Essential Required Tasks/Examples of Duties:

Performs new installations, repairs and preventative maintenance tasks for residential and commercial-type electrical service including low, medium and high voltage systems in city-owned or leased facilities; maintains all electrical equipment, breakers and disconnects in a manner that protects the safety of the public and employees; monitors and inspects facilities, equipment and electrical systems to determine compliance with State standards, and need for repair or upgrades; analyzes malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments; coordinates, monitors and performs installation of materials, fixtures and equipment to electrical systems; responds to electrical service or trouble calls and provides problem resolution; coordinates and oversees the work performed by electrical contractors for compliance to standards and work practices; troubleshoots and diagnoses various types of electrical control systems; performs thermal imaging on Motor Control Centers (MCCs); analyzes power fluctuations and transformers and MCCs; calibrates 4- to20-milliamp instruments; develops and implements electrical energy conservation projects; measures and analyzes electrical use within facilities; evaluates load sharing; reviews blueprints and construction plans; oversees the maintenance and testing of emergency power generators, automatic transfer switches, uninterruptable power supply (UPSs), and elevator equipment; assists in maintaining building access and security control systems; operates specialized tools and equipment; operates monitoring and testing equipment; reads, repairs and calibrates meters; maintains records of operation, maintenance and repairs; prepares related reports; maintains inventory of parts and supplies; performs power quality surveys and inspections; develops and updates electrical drawings and wiring diagrams; provides technical guidance and/or training to maintenance staff, project managers, and other personnel; develops electrical specifications and designs for small renovations, tasks, and contracts.
Must have working knowledge of the current National Electrical Code.
Responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and coordinating inspections with the Building Department to ensure compliance. Performs semi-skilled and skilled electrical maintenance work including planning operations primarily on a daily and weekly basis, with some planning functions for longer-term activities. The incumbent is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing the programs and projects of the electrical operations and usage throughout the city-owned and leased facilities. Establishes goals and objectives for areas of responsibility. Participates in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures. Coordinates and balances activities of division with those of other divisions or departments.
Maintains awareness of federal, state, and local laws; rules and regulations pertaining to electrical operations; and applicable electrical codes and standards. Assesses municipal needs to determine necessity of capital improvements and equipment acquisition.
Evaluates service costs and makes related recommendations regarding prospective equipment purchases and operating programs. Identifies and recommends improvements in divisional and departmental operations to ensure assigned functions are efficient and cost effective.
Takes proper safety precautions, anticipates unsafe circumstances, and acts accordingly to eliminate hazards and prevent accidents. Uses all safety equipment. Performs related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Training - High school graduation or GED equivalent. State of Colorado Master Electrician License.
Experience - Four years electrical apprenticeship, vocational or technical training; at least five years experience in the commercial electrical trade, construction, and/or maintenance and repair.
OR
Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides evidence that the applicant possesses the Necessary Applicant Traits and can perform the essential required tasks.
Necessary Special Requirements - Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving record for continued employment. State of Colorado Master Electrician License and ability to be licensed as an Electrical Contractor within 90 days of hire.

Working Conditions:

The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and vibration. Mile High Youth Corps helps youth make a difference in themselves and in their communities through meaningful service opportunities and educational experiences.
Summary: The Case Manager: College and Transitions oversees transition and support case management for youth participating in Corps programs, with an emphasis on post-secondary education placement and long-term success. The Case Manager: College and Transitions is responsible for preparing Corpsmembers for post-secondary education and following up to ensure successful retention in post-secondary education. This position is also responsible for maintaining documentation requirements and data input for various grants affecting the program. Reports to the Career Developer and YouthBuild Senior Program Manager.
Essential Functions
Program Planning, Implementation and Evaluation
• Develops, oversees, and implements a college preparation program, both during MHYC programming and following graduates post-program that meets national standards and goals of primary funding sources. The program should include a classroom and on campus for MHYC graduates attending post-secondary education, including peer support meetings, tutoring sessions and academic planning.
• Develops and implements college preparation workshops and classes to be facilitated within the Career Readiness and career development classes at MHYC.
• Ensures that youth are prepared for, and connected with, the appropriate educational opportunities and post-secondary education institutions, including college and trade opportunities.
• Facilitates the completion of FASFA for all YouthBuild Corpsmembers, as well as placement testing, college applications and essays for those who include post-secondary education as their next transition step.
• Connects MHYC graduates with the on-campus support team to include an academic advisor, financial aid officer, and other representatives as needed and appropriate. Facilitates a minimum of quarterly review meetings with all graduates in college placement to review successes and challenges and develop action plans accordingly.
• Successfully coordinate Summer Bridge Program on Community College of Denver’s campus.
DenverTransition and Post-Program Opportunities
• In connection with the Career Developer implements a standardized transition plan for all YouthBuild Corpsmembers, working with Corpsmembers throughout their term to ensure preparedness for next steps.
• Implements a systematic placement effort, working with local education and training institutions to provide post-program opportunities for Corpsmembers in coordination with the Case Management team.
• Fulfills outplacement goals and objectives for primary funding sources.
• Works with the Case Management team to coordinate a quarterly follow-up activity for all YouthBuild graduates.
• Maintains consistent follow-up for all YouthBuild graduates in post-program placements, in accordance with agency follow-up standards.
• Meets regularly with representatives from post-secondary institutions to review Corpsmembers success in their post-program placement and identify other supports as needed.
• Builds and enhances a resource library of information on education programs, post-secondary educational opportunities and which institutions accept AmeriCorps Education awards.
Liaison with Post-Secondary Institutions
• Cultivates and develops relationships with college representatives at Community College of Denver, as well as other identified institutions (community colleges, apprenticeship programs, certification programs, etc.), to include, but not limited to the financial aid office, academic advising offices, administrative offices, First Generation and other college support programs, and other appropriate contacts within each institution to meet the needs of Corpsmembers.
• Attends community-networking meetings and trainings related to post-secondary education, accessing funding for post-secondary education, Corpsmember development and placement. Identify organizations and connections appropriate for increased involvement or placement opportunities for Corpsmembers.
• Builds relationships with key community figures to increase access to post-secondary education and support for MHYC Corpsmembers.
Corpsmember Development
• Develops relationships with Corpsmembers as well as an understanding of their outside supports in order to identify resource needs. Communicates these needs within the YouthBuild team to provide the most effective service delivery possible.
• Works with Corpsmembers and graduates to proactively identify potential barriers and develop plans to address barriers for successful PSE completion.
• Maintains appropriate relationships with outside supports, including Probation and Parole Officers, other case managers or support providers to ensure continuity of support.
Administrative Duties
• Documents and enters data in a variety of data systems that track program and post-program implementation,
• Tracks Corpsmember follow-up in internal and external systems, including case notes and contact information.
• Coordinates and maintains Corpsmember files, including responsibility for obtaining all necessary documentation in accordance with the various grant requirements.
• Participates in staff meetings.
• Other duties may be assigned.
Program Support
• Maintains open communication with the YouthBuild team including regular updates and attendance at YouthBuild meetings.
• Supports and leads the team in the implementation of a college-going culture.
• Works closely with the Case Management team to ensure maximum benefits and opportunities to link Corpsmembers with educational and employment opportunities.
Qualifications
Education: Four-year college degree in career counseling, psychology, sociology or a related field. Significant professional experience in a related field may be substituted for post-secondary education.
Experience:
• Minimum three years working as a case manager or a related position with responsibility for managing the documentation for multiple funding streams and oversight of 50+ youth on caseload.
• Experience working directly with, including classroom facilitation with, a diverse youth population; preferably ages 18-24.
• Minimum one year experience implementing a post-secondary education transition and preparation program preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong attention to detail and ability to organize tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Strong classroom facilitation and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of best practices in the field of post-secondary education program development.
• Proficient in Microsoft products and database management.

Field Engineers may work in some of the world’s toughest environments - from the searing heat of Middle Eastern deserts to the numbing cold of Siberian taiga, and from the steamy jungles of Brazil to the typhoon-swept oceans of the South China Sea. US jobs can vary from Western PA to CA and from Williston, ND to Laredo, TX.
Drilling thousands of meters into the Earth is an intense and dangerous business. Wells are often in some of the most remote and inhospitable places in the world; this means Field Engineers have to be able to adapt. Regardless of the job you do, you must be focused on delivering service excellence, no matter what the conditions, because the results of your work and the work of your colleagues have multimillion dollar consequences for every client.
On location, you will normally have to share amenities with your coworkers. Women engineers are still in a minority in our industry, which is why we pay special attention to make sure living conditions are appropriate. Job Qualifications:
• This position requires a Bachelors degree from an ABET-accredited Engineering program (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or other related field) and 5 or more years of related professional engineering experience.
• When assigned as a Test Engineering Lead, such as a CTE, ACTE or System Lead, the candidate may qualify based on equivalent experience and/or specialized education and 10-12 years of training and or experience, which is equivalent to 5 or more years of directly related Test Engineering experience.
• Such experience may be obtained by industry systems/equipment school(s), shipbuilding experience or Navy experience.
• Responsibilities include: -Functions as a project leader on the planning, administration, and conduct of specific shipboard test programs. Provides guidance and direction to the activities of Test Engineers and Test Technicians involved in planning, developing and reviewing test procedures, and the conduct of testing operations. Ensures project objectives are met. -Develop and execute test plans, determine conditions under which tests are to be conducted and the sequence and phases of test operations, exercising a detailed knowledge of engineering principles, specifications and requirements. -Develop, review and revise test procedures, test instructions and related test documents and specifications to support test evolutions.
• Responsible for technical direction of testing activities performed by Test Engineers and Test Technicians.
• A Test Engineer III may function in a Test Engineering Lead role, such as a Chief Test Engineer (CTE) role, Assistant CTE (ACTE) or as a System Lead, providing test program management and leadership to the planning and execution of shipboard testing and operations.

ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN shall have an Associate’s degree in computer technology or similar degree OR equivalent documented combination of training and experience. TS/SCI with Poly Preferred.
Experience with an understanding of the concepts, procedures and guidelines to solve highly complex problems in the maintenance and hardware/software network infrastructure. Experience performing system set-up, experiments and diagnostics to evaluate printed circuit board exchanges, and troubleshoot and make component repairs based on test results.
The contractor shall support the Government Program life Cycle Support
Team to achieve and maintain the organization’s integration and maintenance objectives and relevant hardware capabilities in the most effective and efficient manner possible.
Knowledge and experience of LINUX Operations Systems a plus. Knowledge and experience in electronics component repair. Ability to communicate and work well in an effective team environment.
• Remove and repair faulty Field Replaceable Units
• Diagnose and repair circuit boards down to the component level
• Boards containing components with exotic packaging shall be
diagnosed down to the component level: however, the replacement of
the exotic components will be limited and at the discretion of the
Government.
• Communicate with repair depot regarding technical problems.
Administer and operate contractor provided diagnostics tools to identify
failing hardware.
• Document failing FRUs
• Document repair activity
• Document and ship failing hardware to appropriate facilities.
• Re-test hardware after it has been returned from the repair depot.
• Participate in familiarization training, System Operation and Maintenance
Support, and other forms of training at the operational facility.
• Participate, at government direction, in team meetings to ensure all
integration planning and maintenance implementation tasks are met and
properly planned to meet government support requirements
