• Implements full range of IA and security engineering processes, procedures, functions, to maintain HBQI system security posture.

When deployed, the incumbent reports to IMAT Team Lead and is the principal Environmental Planning and Historic Preservation (EHP) expert and advisor on the IMAT. Provides advice and counsel on EHP laws, regulations and Executive Orders. Obtains regional considerations affecting the incident organization/operation from the Regional Environmental Officer (REO). Ensures integration of EHP compliance responsibilities and strategies into incident. Assesses potential EHP concerns, considerations, and needs. Establishes EHP presence and visibility. Makes organizational adjustments based on the complexity of the incident and requests additional personnel, supplies, services, and equipment as needed. Reviews incident-specific guidance. Ensures that IMAT team members receive the appropriate EHP training.
• Participates in the incident action planning process. Ensures all relevant EHP information is exchanged during briefings and debriefings. Ensures participation in IMAT planning efforts, such as IMAT Management Plan, Debris Plan, Transition Plan, and Demobilization Plan. This position is located in the U. S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region IV, Floodplain Management & Insurance Branch of the Mitigation Division which is responsible for administering the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) located in Atlanta, GA. The objectives of the NFIP are to provide financial assistance for the rehabilitation of property for victims of flood disasters, and to prevent unwise use of flood prone land to avoid or reduce future excessive damage to structures. A community becomes eligible for emergency insurance coverage upon approval of its application by the Federal Insurance Administration.
Typical work assignments include:
• Schedules and conducts a variety of meetings throughout the Region and presents NFIP study data at local public meetings and provides technical assistance to local government officials for the preparation and implementation of the flood plain management regulations required for participation in the NFIP.
• Serves as the regional contact regarding NFIP activities as they concern the State, Tribal and local coordinating agencies. Meets with representatives of local communities , lending institutions , insurance agents and the general public to explain the flood insurance program.

You qualify for this position at the GS-13 level if you possess the following:
Education: Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by the applicant.
Registration: Applicants must have active, current registration as a professional nurse in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. An applicant who has graduated from an approved nursing education program within the past 12 months may be appointed pending State registration as a professional nurse within 6 months of appointment. No person appointed pending registration may be retained beyond 6 months, or promoted, if registration has not been attained.
One full year of specialized experience. Specialized experience is described as experience in the federal government, other state, local or non-profit organization, or the private sector that is equivalent to the GS-12 level that have given you experience with medical conditions and treatments of work related diseases and illnesses resulting from occupational exposures from radiation, chemicals, or other work-place toxins. Experience in reviewing prescriptions for and on-going care related to home health care, durable medical equipment, and other medical treatment and issues to determine appropriateness of care and medical billing. Experience in working with case management practices and medical modalities in reviewing or auditing workers' compensation cases. Experience in fact-finding, analysis, and problem solving techniques. Experience in evaluating administrative processes and providing written reports on findings. Experience analyzing health policies, published health standards and practices to provide expert interpretations of these regulated guidelines and their correlation to automation system and data management. Experience in arranging and meeting with varied medical specialists and medical offices to resolve and clarify issues on diagnoses, treatment, and ongoing care. Experience communicating both orally and in writing; presenting findings, information, and recommendations in diverse settings such as briefings, trainings, meetings and teleconferences. Experience composing and presenting materials in both narrative and statistical format.
