This worker reads and interprets manufacturers' and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. This mechanic performs 100-hour, progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar inspections, examines reciprocating engines for cracked cylinders and oil leaks, and listens to operating engine to detect and diagnose malfunctions, such as sticking or burnt valves, inspects jet engines and components for cracks, corrosion, foreign object damage, burned areas, distortions, security, warping, wear, and missing segments. Inspects jet engine turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks, tests engine operation, using testing equipment, such as ignition analyzer, compression checker, distributor timer, ammeter, and jet calibration (Jetcal) tester, to locate source of malfunction. Work involves: replacing or repairing worn or damaged components, such as carburetors, alternators, magnetos, fuel controls, fuel pumps, oil pumps, and engine mounted gearboxes, and compressor bleed valves using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment; removing engine from aircraft, using hoist or forklift truck, disassembling and inspecting parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects, and repairing or replacing defective engine parts and reassembles and installs engine in aircraft. Diagnose and resolve issues that arise as part of an installation or service call. Escalate issues when issue resolution support is needed. Ensure all installations are completed so that any hoses, cables, or wires are routed in a neat visually appealing manner. MAIN ACTIVITIES: 1) Install supplied printers and accessories at customer sites. 2) Undertake on-site and remote fault finding and repair of Company-supplied equipment. Significant travel away from home will be required. a) Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair system problems at Customer sites. b) Carryout preventative maintenance service to maximize uptime in line with Customer production schedules and equipment specifications. c) Provide telephone technical support including rotational after-hours, weekends and holidays on call. 3) Service electrical, mechanical and software based production equipment. 4) Maintain records of and follow the Company's service procedures and technical bulletins. 5) Provide technical (product) and Health & Safety training to Customers on Domino-supplied products. 6) Document customer training class attendees. 7) Provide daily installation updates to installation planning and or project management. 8) Liaise appropriately with site personnel who may include managers, operators, maintenance staff, and electricians. 9) Provide timely response to internal and external Customers. a) Maintain complete and up to date work records and other administration tasks as required by the business b) Work well with Sales and the internal organization. c) Provide constructive feedback both positive and negative on Domino group products and local channel engineered accessories. d) Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times. e) Accept increasing responsibility with tenure. f) Initiate proactive action on behalf of the Customer. g) Provide closed loop feedback on all escalated Customer actions. 10) Provide feedback and take an active role in solution implementation to improve the overall installation and customer training process. 11) Share installation best practices with other installation engineers / service technicians. 12) Communicate with the Customer, other team members and vendors specific engineering features/enhancements relevant to improving support and maintenance of the system. 13) Work comfortably in a remote environment a.
