The workforce consists of oil field contractor employees. The number of employees varies considerably due to construction stages, drilling operations, maintenance and operating. Staging will be in Norway. With a short arctic ocean drilling season the project will be covered by two medics (one position) each doing an 8-9 week rotation. Overview: Primary role is medical support with some other duties as assigned. Remote Medic will assess, treat and coordinate transport for patients to higher-level medical providers, commonly in the form of a clinic or hospital. Medevac’s will be accomplished via ocean vessel as no helicopter service available. Invasive care may include advanced airways, IV therapy, medications and defibrillation. Applicants should have sufficient knowledge of applied mathematics to understand and use the fundamental concepts and techniques of operations research methods of analysis. The ideal candidate will have developed statistical skills and an expert knowledge of qualitative techniques underlying operations research and systems analysis. S/he will be able to use the developed skill of analytical reasoning to apply to the identification, analysis and conceptualization of problems and the development of practicable alternative solutions.
