POSITION SUMMARY: The Sales Associate is a support position created to increase the volume and velocity of sales by the Residential Solar Consultants. The position will also help staff events and aid in other lead generating opportunities when there is a need for extra manpower. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Aid in the creation of proposals for Residential Solar Consultants including tracking down kWh usage, printing reference material for the site evaluations such as satellite imagery, creating draft proposals, and putting together presentation folders; * Work with Residential Solar Consultants to provide follow-up to current and past opportunities in a timely and professional manner. Activities to include developing and sending out situational specific templates such as reference materials, product comparisons, strengths of the company's next steps, and other follow-through to the customer; Provide contract reporting support to ensure clean and accurate contracts. This includes working with customers to wrap up documentation needed and not available at the time of contract signing, updating Salesforce.com to ensure it is accurate and detailed for engineering, and submitting correct proposal for approval; Assist Order Management, Project Management and Residential Solar Consultants to work through change orders to provide what is fair for the company, the customer and the consultant; Use Salesforce.com to identify potentially missed leads and opportunities. Contact leads inactivated for reasons that may allow future follow-up. Contact old opportunities with the goal of providing a value-added customer interaction, address questions, and overcome minor objections. Refer these to Inside Sales or Consultants for future follow-up; Help the Residential Solar Consultants and the Regional Sales Manager to identify trends, successes, and opportunities through the use of Salesforce.com reporting, online research, and other data collection and analysis; Help the Residential Solar Consultants and the Regional Sales Manager develop e-mail templates, collateral, and other pitch book material; Provide backup support for events and other lead generating activities when marketing resources are not available.
