Staff Assistant
The Colorado Springs Fire Chief seeks a highly dependable Staff Assistant with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills to perform highly responsible administrative support duties.
Typical Responsibilities
• Serve as the liaison between the Office of the Fire Chief and other City staff, elected officials, high ranking officers, and the public
• Coordinate, monitor, and participate in projects and functions to support the Fire Chief
• Coordinate the Fire Chief’s daily schedule; set daily appointments utilizing initiative, creativity, and with an understanding of City/department operations and reporting relationships; and maintain sensitivity to and awareness of community issues and concerns
• Serve as the CSFD (Colorado Springs Fire Department) contact for the City’s Footprints System (citizen requests for information); assign, monitor, and coordinate each contact forwarded to CSFD; and provide assistance to staff with developing appropriate responses in an accurate and timely manner

Contracting Specialist I or Contracting Specialist II
Depending on the qualifications of the candidate selected, this position will be filled at either the Contracting Specialist I or Contracting Specialist II level. The monthly salary range for the Contracting Specialist I is $3,364.00 to $4,204.00 and it is $4,356.00 to $5,445.00 for the Contracting Specialist II.
As a Contracting Specialist for the Transit Services Division, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient acquisition of quality services, equipment, and materials in compliance with municipal, state, and federal regulations.
Typical Responsibilities
• Conduct procurement activities from pre-solicitation through post-award by preparing and processing all required documentation for RFPs (Requests for Proposals), IFBs (invitation for bids) POs (purchase orders), and other procurement processes using established procedures and methods
• Act as liaison for the Transit Division with the City’s Legal and Procurement Departments to verify terms and conditions in IGAs (Intergovernmental Agreements), contracts, and grant agreements

Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for independently performing testing and evaluation on a variety of products to the provisions of U.S., Canadian and other International product safety standards; writing reports; and communicating with clients.
Independently conduct on and off site evaluation of products to determine compliance with applicable standard(s). To do this, Project Engineer must:
Read and determine applicability of national codes and standards clauses for the EUT (equipment under test);
Read and understand schematics and manufacturing instructions;
Validate the project scope and sample applicability;
Under scope of the project, identify and locate test instruments and equipment required for testing;
Follow established test plan;
Set up and operate EUT; perform and document simple repairs on EUT as needed;
Conduct thorough construction review; document results;
Perform testing of products in accordance with standards. Core tests include, but are not limited to: rating, leakage current, dielectric, temperature, pressure, stability, mechanical hazard, flammability, abnormal and fault insurance, rain, radiation, sound, and laser.
Mentor less senior technical personnel.
Supply information for quotes such as length of project, site needed, rental equipment, samples, and standards that will be used.
Complete preliminary design reviews (PDR) both on and off site.
Provide more specialized "expertise" in one product category, i.e., become reviewer, resident expert, or obtain and maintain advanced product knowledge.
Develop and set up test plans.
Perform field labeling jobs.
Set up and operate standard test equipment including, but not limited to: spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, multi-meter, dielectric strength tester, ground continuity tester, digital multi-meter, surge generator, over-voltage tester, environmental condition chamber, and articulated probes. Use hand tools to build/calibrate test fixtures.
Follow sample handling procedures, ensuring that sample is logged in and out of the system. Move equipment as needed through the facility. Properly package sample for shipment.
Provide sales support such as attending client visits.
Communicate project status and test results to client, sales personnel, and management throughout testing. Provide on-going support to clients as needed.
Within policy guidelines, identify, properly document, and recommend engineering judgments.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in engineering
2-4 years directly related experience; prefer prior project management experience

The Team will ensure SOF assets are kept abreast of all current and emerging JIEDDO-COIC processes, methodologies, and Tactics, Techniques & Procedures (TTP) for attacking networks that utilize IEDs.
Detailed Responsibilities:
The SOF Intelligence Integrator will assist in developing processes that focus on developing SOF Situational Understanding of threat networks and enabling DOD, IA, and IC communities of action focused on dismantling, disrupting, and defeating those networks. The Intelligence Integrator will prioritize and categorize requests for support, conduct near- and long-term analyses of device and network-centric problem sets, fusing multiple intelligence disciplines to support the application of operational capabilities in order to facilitate disruption and defeat of threat networks that employ or facilitate IEDs.
The SOF Intelligence Integrator will focus on problem sets at the tactical through operational levels while applying a thorough understanding of ISR integration and the ops/intelligence fusion process to compile, collate, analyze and evaluate all sources of information (to include unevaluated intelligence and open source data) associated with IEDs and their employment/facilitation by terrorist, insurgent, or criminal networks.
The SOF Intelligence Integrator will work closely with other members of a multi-discipline team to identify capabilities and vulnerabilities of targeted enemy organizations, identify trends, patterns and key nodes and highlighting their relationships to the targeted enemy networks. The Intelligence Integrator must possess a thorough understanding of the intelligence process to compile, collate, analyze, produce, and evaluate all-source intelligence and provide subject matter expertise. The Integrator must be able to provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and should be able to provide daily feedback to the team lead on product development. The Intelligence Integrator must also possess the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
The SOF Intelligence Integrator must have a strong operational background and experience in shaping intelligence products that support tactical or strategic goals set forth by the supported unit commander in order to create actionable target support packages. The Intelligence Integrator should also possess an understanding of IEDs as well as the local, regional, and global networks that facilitate IED construction, design, and usage.
Successful applicants will have documented experience working with multidiscipline operations/intelligence teams and familiarity with other elements of the DoD, the interagency and coalition partners.
The SOF Intelligence Integrator must have the ability to participate in and lead meetings, conferences, and engagements to exchange information, assist in making decisions, and/or provide updates. Provide campaign-level analyses of joint theater-level warfare with RAND’s Joint Integrated Contingency Model (JICM). Provide analytical and operational support to the mission in support of focused reviews of defense capabilities and requirements. Support operation of models, including but not be limited to the setting up of models, creation of scenarios and Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), data extraction, data manipulation, and interpretation of model results. Maintain and update the data, and models input data files contained in the Government’s systems and used in support of the SAC modeling and analytic efforts for the JCIM/ STORM/ EADSIM/ NSS models. Using the data, model input data files, and associated software, perform analysis and decision support, consisting of generating special displays, charts, graphics, data pulls, comparisons, and other analyses. Perform archiving of study data and retrieve data from previous studies included in the archives.
Requirements:
· High level of model experience with greater than 5 years of experience in the use of the designated model to support studies for the development of operational insights for DoD senior leadership
· Having the required training and applicable experience and expertise, and a clear understanding to perform campaign-level analyses of joint theater-level warfare with RAND’s Joint Integrated Contingency Model (JICM)
· Capable of independent use of the model, the set up and running of the model, debugging of databases, identification of model issues and evaluation of potential model fixes, as well as interpretation of results

We are seeking an Operations/Intelligence Attack the Network (AtN) personnel to develop / interpret doctrine that is based on proven principles, but tailored to the client's organizational structure and operational environment. Synthesize applicable doctrine to develop narrative that is concise, relevant, and readily understandable. Integrate narrative with training plans to ensure consistency of concepts, terms, and format. Build trust-based relationships with the client, to recognize and incorporate critical ideas and operational requirements. Solicit and integrate client recommendations into doctrine products, to increase client acceptance and foster shared understanding of concepts. Train select client personnel on doctrine concepts and development methods, in order to enhance the client's operational capacity and effectiveness.
The AtN Doctrine SME provides expert support, analysis and research into exceptionally complex problems, and processes relating to the C-IED subject matter. Serves as technical expert on executive-level project teams providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives. Thinks independently and demonstrates exceptional written and oral communications skills. Applies advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts, and contributes to the development of new principles and operational concepts. Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly adaptive and innovative. Assignments are often self-initiated. Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results. Develops advanced technological ideas and guides their development into effective solutions.
Specific tasks the AtN Doctrine SME may perform:
- research and evaluate C-IED doctrine of the U.S. and Partner Nations
- assist team members in the incorporation of AtN Doctrinal facets into training
- support the development and prepare preliminary and final draft AtN publications
- conduct content-related research, telephonic or electronic interviews, and review and vetting of existing or proposed materials, doctrinal writing, technical and content meetings or discussions. The contractor will possess solid experience in military organization and must have background in C-IED Intelligence, warfighting concepts and doctrine, and C-IED tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP). Interacts directly with unit commanders during the development of training in preparation for deployment and sustainment. The contractor will be the focal point for Attack the Network intelligence for the Team.
- Actively coordinates the support packages provided to meet unit and subordinate element operational requirements. Applies emerging doctrine and tactics to improve unit application of C-IED methodologies.
Provides expert support, analysis and research into the Intelligence portion of C-IED. Serves as a technical expert on project teams providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives. Store Managers are supported with an intensive orientation and ongoing training program to help achieve positive results in Best Buy Mobile's fast paced retail environment.
40% of your time you will:
•Directly lead a staff of 10 or more employees and oversee all operational aspects of running a Best Buy Mobile stand-alone store (P&L management, back office, cash handling, labor management, and scheduling, etc.)
•Oversee Shrink Programs and Merchandising Standards (inventory control, merchandising/store appearance, promotions, displays, signage, pricing, etc.)
•Analyzes store's performance indicators against team selling behaviors and goals; develop action plans to address objectives and achieve desired business results.
•Source, hire, and train staff
30% of your time you will:
•Oversee effective planning of team meetings and Training/Development Workshops.
•Conduct weekly 1-on-1 consultations with employees, and provide coaching recognition and feedback in such a way that creates an open and approachable culture in the store
30% of your time you will:
•Conduct Sales and Service role-plays to assist each location's staff in providing complete solutions to each customer.
•Create community based partnerships that drive business and increase customer engagement
Successful Best Buy Mobile Store Managers are experts in sales, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and lead a group of salespeople to excellence. Strong previous experience in successfully driving business goals and managing the daily operations of a retail environment will assist the Store Manager in quickly achieving results.
What are the Professional Requirements of a Best Buy Mobile Manager?
Basic Requirements:
•High School Diploma or Equivalent
•18 months Retail Management or Supervisory experience OR Military Leadership inclusive of coaching, training, recognition and performance evaluation
•1 years Sales/Customer Service experience
•Must be at least 18 years of age
•1 year logistics, operations, inventory or merchandising
•1 year experience analyzing a Profit & Loss statement
Preferred Requirements:
•Associate degree or above in Business Management or related fields
•Prior experience in selling consumer electronics
•2 years Military leadership experience

Assists department manager with the supervision of department staff and shares in responsibility for department performance.
