PLC Control Systems Technician- San Diego, CA SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment Full time Responsible for the general maintenance, safety, inspections, troubleshooting and upgrading of all electrical/electronic control systems on the attractions with the objective of improving ride operational time. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all ride-related electrical/electronic systems used for attraction ride control. These systems include: power distribution up to 600 volts, AC/DC motors, relay logic, hydraulic and pneumatic control circuits, variable speed motor controllers, programmable logic controllers, and closed loop servo systems. • Diagnose electrical problems in hard wired and software circuits. • Maintain proficiency in all manufacturing manuals related to each individual ride. • Perform annual PLC program verification on all rides. • Monitor PLC code and determine best course for resolving reoccurring issues. • Complete all green tagging procedures on rides while upholding to department safety standards, including test riding and inspections. • Complete all required documentation pertaining to each ride. • Have a working knowledge and understanding of basic pneumatic and hydraulic systems. • Perform daily inspections on rides, attractions, elevators and moving walkways. • Read and troubleshoot logic in PLC’s. • Program VFD’s and DC controllers. • Communicates any ride related questions/concerns to leadership. • Shares knowledge and expertise with others. • Ensures excellent customer service by anticipating and responding to customer requirements, expectations, and needs. • Maintains a safe work environment, follows all safety policies and procedures, including lock out tag out, personal protective equipment, ride safety requirements and fall protection. • Other duties as assigned. This is an immediate opening for a multi-talented, top notch Manual Machinist with excellent communication skills to work the first shift in our Livonia, MI facility. Qualifications • Minimum 10 years of manual machining experience • Experience must include lathes, mills, and grinders • Minimum 5 years of experience machining complex tight tolerance details • Must be able to effectively thread on the lathe • Must be able to read GD&T symbols and interpret blueprints as a Manual Machinist • Excellent shop math skills • Must have own tools • Must be able to inspect own work as a Manual Machinist • Must be ready and willing to complete all tasks assigned • Must be able and willing to work overtime when necessary • Self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision Preferred Skills • Experience with Anilam, Prototrak or similar controls on vertical mill • Automotive engine machining experience • Experience with prototype parts To apply, please visit the Roush careers page by clicking on this link: http://careers.roush.com Our benefits include: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, LTD, 401K, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, and paid holidays.
