7. Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) | Electronics Support Technician: Springfield, VA
Position: Information System Security Officer (ISSO)
Status: Full Time /40 hrs a week
Job Description:
An Information System Security Officer (ISSO) is an individual responsible for ensuring the appropriate operational security posture is maintained for an information system and as such, is responsible to and works in close collaboration with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM). The ISSO shall have the detailed knowledge and expertise required to manage the security aspects of both networked and stand-alone information system environments and is assigned responsibility for the day-to-day security operations of a system. In close coordination with the ISSM, the ISSO plays an active role in monitoring a system and its environment of operation to include developing and updating the SSP, managing and controlling changes to the system, and assessing the security impact of those changes. The IAO assists the IT Staff when necessary.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensuring operational security, providing security guidance and IS validation utilizing the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework, Department of Defense (DoD), and local security policies
Maintain awareness of changes to local and DoD security policies and modify policies or configurations to implement directed changes.
Review system security audit logs, and utilize network scanning software to monitor network activities for possible compromise and take corrective action as needed.
Provide annual information system security user training.
Perform self-inspections in conjunction with the local security manager.
Maintain vulnerability scanning tools and patch management utilities to ensure IT staff pushes patches to all systems in an effort to maintain compliance with all applicable directives.
Ensure all users that request network accounts have the requisite security clearances, authorization, need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before granting access to the IS.
Coordinate any changes or modifications to hardware, software, or firmware of a system with the ISSM/AO/DAO prior to the change.
Ensure all required approvals are granted and received prior to purchasing any hardware equipment or software applications.
Conduct periodic review of information systems to ensure compliance with the security authorization package.
Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures as outlined in the security authorization package.
Report all security-related incidents to the ISSM and all applicable personnel and implement any corrective measures.
Ensure all IS security related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.
Write System Security Policies for site networks, stand-alones and facility:
Prepare System Security Plan (SSP) in accordance with the applicative governing directive for systems, and ensure all networks are in maintained according to their respective SSPs.
Develop and maintain local Information Assurance policies for the site facility as well as assist off-site locations.
Interface with information assurance managers and other security representatives as needed to discuss updates of security policies and make necessary changes to SSPs.
Assist Project Officers in getting approved for project equipment and software.
Review system policies and document findings.
Assist network manager with daily tasks as needed:
Assist in validating servers and workstations security settings.
Assist with information system security incidents.
Assist in network user accounts creation or modification of accesses.
Assist in getting software and hardware approvals.
Assist in turning in or disposing of equipment and software.
Qualifications
Current certification identified in DoD Manual 8570,01-M for IAM II
High-school diploma or an Associate’s degree (A.S.), with a BS preferred. Field experience can be substituted for education degree.
Familiarity in Information Systems security gained from higher education, trade certifications (MS or CISCO certifications), or a combination of the previous and direct job experience in the information technology / information security field.
Special Skills and Abilities
Experience working with patch management, network intrusion detection, audit reduction/filtering tool, data-at-rest, and encryption software.
Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting operating system platforms such as Windows 7, Windows Server 2008/2012 to include security configuration knowledge of group and local policies.
Technical and professional writing expertise; experience with MS Office products.
Experience in information security that includes configuration of workstations and servers for proper security settings.
Experience using the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) tool.

8. Electronics Support Technician: -Springfield VA
Status: Full Time / 40 hours a week
Job Description:
The Electronics Technician will assist in the development, testing and employment of new capabilities and will be responsible for assisting with the management and maintenance of deployable support capabilities. The electronics technician is responsible for the operational readiness of all capabilities developed by and for the supported organization. The electronics technician should have knowledge of test and evaluation concepts to include test plan development, test metrics, test design and test execution. The electronics technician will maintain Department of Defense deployment readiness standards and may be required to deploy to abroad to provide support for short duration operations and exercises. The electronics technician must have superb communication skills, as they will be directly interfacing with the client, and must be able to manage and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manages and sustains an electronics support laboratory and associated equipment
Conducts inventory, routine maintenance and troubleshooting on a variety of electronics systems.
Designs, fabricates and tests custom RF devices to include miniature transceivers as well as support circuits such as microcontrollers (for sensor integration and hardware control) and small power management systems (e.g. voltage regulators and chargers).

Position Summary:

PSI is seeking a strong professional who can be an added value to the team supporting our Government client. OIG IT infrastructure is predominantly a Microsoft Windows environment (Windows 2012R2 servers with Hyper-V virtual machines, Window 7 client machines and Office 2010 (soon to be updated to Windows 10 and Office 2016, within a single domain. OIG's primary messaging system is Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013 system (soon to be upgraded to Office 365). Microsoft SharePoint 2013 provides major web and publishing portals, collaboration, and content management tools. OIG uses Microsoft Office Professional as its primary office support application on a Windows OS. The OCIO also supports our Audit division by maintaining SAS and ArcGIS servers.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
Systems Engineer core responsibilities will include, but not to be limited to:
*Vulnerability Mitigation: Addressing all critical vulnerabilities on the OIG network within thirty days of discovery by Tenable Security Center. Additionally, the Contractor shall address all vulnerabilities on the OIG network within sixty days of the start of a POA&M (Plan of Action and Milestones). There are at least four (4) POA&Ms for patching a year. The Contractor shall be responsible for applying patches, updating configurations, and any other required security changes on all servers, workstations, printers, and devices on the OIG network.
*Server Room Hardware Support: Monitoring and supporting all OIG equipment in the Consolidated Server Room (CSR), not to exceed five (5) standard size server racks worth of equipment. The Contractor shall report all equipment faults to the OIG Deputy CIO for Operations, contact the vendor for support, and perform all troubleshooting required to resolve all OIG equipment faults in the CSR.
*Big Data Support: Providing Tier 3 support for the production versions of SAS and ArcGIS. OIG currently has 1 SAS Server, 1 ArcGIS server, and less than 30 clients using either. As part of this support, the Contractor shall perform one server and client version upgrade every twelve (12) months to either SAS or ArcGIS at the Governments discretion. This upgrade is in addition to Task 4 (System Upgrades).
*System Upgrades: Performing a major version upgrade of at least one system every twelve (12) months. One system is limited to no more than one server farm of no more than nine (9) servers and one client on each workstation. This task can be applied to any one product (every year) currently in use.
*General Application Support: Installing server-level software, following and updating OIG Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). In the event the software is new to the OIG, the Contractor will write an SOP for the software installation.
*Server Decommissioning: Using the OIG SOP, decommission servers as selected by the OCIO OIG.
Minimum Requirements:
*Bachelor’s degree in related field and minimum 5 years of experiences. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
*Minimum five (5) years systems administration experience with server operating systems, with preferably 3 or more years administering Windows Server 2012R2 or newer.
*Two (2) years product experience desired related to the selected COTS software (SAS and ArcGIS).

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Are you an electrical engineer looking for a dynamic company to join? Due to our steady growth, we have an immediate opening for an electrical engineer who will be expected to apply knowledge of engineering principles to assist in the design and development of electronic projects in various industries (e.g. automotive, aerospace, military and industrial equipment). This position is located at our Allen Park, MI facility.
Responsibilities:
• The electrical engineer will design and develop wiring architecture, wire harness routing, power distribution, electrical system needs and requirements.
• Integrate wire harnesses, connectors, sensors, switches, and electrical components into overall vehicle architecture.
• Develop electrical system functional and validation test requirements.
• Identify and mitigate major electrical system failure modes and effects.
• Hands on support of prototype vehicle and hardware builds.
• Perform in-vehicle testing and assist with vehicle assembly.
• Participate in vehicle drives and demonstrations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred).
• The electrical engineer will have 2 - 5 years of experience in vehicle electrical systems.
• The electrical engineer will have experience with the development and maintenance of DVP&Rs, FMEAs is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment and utilize others in the organization to deliver quality products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• US Citizenship required.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Mentor Graphics software is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the design, analysis, manufacturing and assembly of complex mechanical systems which may include composite structures and weldments. The mechanical engineer will be responsible for the entire product development process including detail design, release, manufacturing, testing, installation and documentation. Responsibilities:
• Design and release assigned systems working within an integrated project team, led by a senior engineer.
• Perform structural, dynamic, and kinematic analysis, as appropriate, in support of project specific requirements.
• Responsible for planning, conducting and coordinating the technical aspects of engineering projects.
• Provide timely, clear, concise communication to management, customers, partners, and team members about work status and impacts to project.
• Provide engineering recommendations, with proposed actions and suggested priorities, for the resolution of mechanical problems.
• Prepare engineering test scopes, plans, and reports (e.g. Acceptance Testing and Performance Testing) as well as perform testing and writing of test reports.
• Provide timely creation/review of engineering design, change, and release documents.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or higher engineering degree required.
• Experience in a product development-related environment is preferred.
• Able to communicate technical concepts in writing as well as through verbal communication.
• Ability to communicate complex issues to non-technical peers and management.
• Familiarity with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Understanding of stress analysis to optimize fabricated structures.
• Understanding of Quality Operating Systems and the importance of relevant data collection.
• Knowledge of complex mechanical systems such as hydraulics, pneumatics and electric motors/actuators.
• Knowledge of welded joints and associated residual stress, distortion and related metallurgical processes.
• Knowledge of bolted joints and the associated threaded fasteners.
• Knowledge and understanding of weldment design and composite structures.
• Must be a self-starter, detailed oriented, and have the ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle several assignments simultaneously.
• 10% travel to client sites may be required. (Domestic and international).
